Appalling On-Going Experience
The installation service for our Solar Panel System has been nothing short of appalling since our panels arrived on Dec 1st 2025. The entire service offered by Bord Gais/Swyft Energy is far too fragmented with multiple sub-contractors all carrying out various tasks but no overall accountability taken by anyone once something goes wrong! After the panels were installed on Dec 1st we discovered an issue with our 5kw battery & reported it to Swyft Energy but no response! Eventually we contacted the installation electrician (subcontractor to Swyft) directly & he called back to rectify the situation however he did say that an engineer from Swyft would call the following day to carry out a further piece of work on the optimisers. One week later & no sign of the Engineer so the phone calls began & since then (6 weeks ago) we have failed to resolve the issue. Despite numerous promises from Patrick at Swyft(who is being constantly let down) we still await an electrician to complete the installation of our system. To date we have not received a single phonecall from anyone at Swyft/Bord Gais to tell us what's happening...very disappointing that we have a system that's fully paid for but not working after nearly seven weeks!!

The easiest and most seamless experience from point of contact untill installation of my new boiler, updates in between and knowledgeable efficient customer service, couldn't reccomend enough.
Excellent and Easy Energy install
very easy process from initial contact throught to project review and guided through all the steps of the installation including the navigation through grant applications. Also since installation great customer backup and enquiry availability. Couldnt recommend highly enough and a game changer for our long term energy strategy.
Appalling post sales support
Our new gas boiler system installed in August 2022. Every year since, the boiler has failed its annual service. Finally, stopped working completely on January 02 2026.
My main complaint is that the after-sales service and support is appalling. The attitude is that 'we're too busy to help' even though it came with a 7 year parts and service warranty. They also refused to cover the cost of finding an alternative solution provider.

Great Service
From Mick calling at my door a few weeks ago, to John and Liam the electricians switching everything on, I have to say it was a very fast and efficient service. The pre-checks was all done, all relevant questions asked and answered. The install was last Friday 12th December,. Electricians arrived 1st to started the running of the wiring and install of monitoring board, so neatly done by the way. Next came the lads working on the roof installing the supports and mounting the panels, with the gentleman from Height for Hire and I do mean Gentleman. I'm sorry to say that thier names of the lads on the roof escape me currently but nicer you'd be hard to meet. My almost 3 year old granddaughter who was with me that day was fantastic watching them work, they even said they'd checked and make sure the chimney was ready for Santa.

The whole experience with Swyft energy was very professional, from initial quote to order and installation. The crew that came to fit our 14 panels were very quick and professional. The job was completed by a very good electrician who was neat and tidy and professional. Aileen in operations, was again she was joy to deal updating me on the various arrival dates of the installation crews. There were one or two things I needed explained regarding the 14kw battery set up but again Aileen responded quickly and clearly explained what needed to be done. I would recommend Swyft Energy from the point of view of technology they use the installation, support and price. Overall I think they represent a very good balance of value and quality hardware and installation. I would recommend using swift energy.Barry

I had a wonderful experience with Swift Energy for my solar panel installation from start to finish. The staff were very helpful and punctual throughout the process. I chose Swift Energy because they are a reputable company, and I have no regrets in selecting them for my solar installation. I have Huwei system though itâs slightly expensive compared to other offerings in the market. But itâs not the problem of Swift.

Excellent service. Johnny , a roofer, came out to check a possible leak. He was very professional and helpful. He put our mind at ease. The customer care at this company is very good and easy to contact. I would highly recommend Swyft Energy.
Disappointing service and installation
Very disappointed with service from Swyft Energy. We saved for many years to have solar units installed and Swyft were initially very slick and happy to take our money. However, installation and quality of work was very disorganised and untidy.
When the electricians came to install they informed us that they had not been given any works sheet so they didn't know what had been agreed with the sales agents. They were helpful in talking us through the process and carried out their work very professionally. It's a pity the rest of the Swyft organisation were not as competent as the two electricians.
We were also told that there would be some ducting/cables running down the outside of the house which was fine. We did not expect such heavy, commercial looking piping to be fitted to a residential property though. For the price we paid I'm sure that something more aesthetically pleasing could have been installed.
Have not received any follow up or courtesy calls from Swyft Energy since to see if we're happy with everything.

We were very happy with our new boiler from Swyft, a fantastic company to deal with, very professional, from the staff in the office dealing with all our queries at the start, to the lovely guy Eoin who came out to assess the job and expertly installed by Paul Depuis..very happy with the service provided, excellent price and would definitely recommend them.

Clean job, great value
Excellent job, extremely clean. You would not know the works had taken place. Cables were dropped two floors from the attic to the fuse board with no disruption to the house.
Great value too, they are now owned by Bord Gais so I would expect the post purchase support to be good.

Appalling aftercare
We were one of five houses to have our solar panels installed just over a year ago. Unfortunately there was some delay in our installation as the company had only noticed on the day that there was an issue with some lighting in our garden. Once that they got going, the installers were very good but the after-care has been abysmal. We have had significant issues with pigeons roosting underneath the solar panels despite this being raised beforehand and we now have pigeon excrement all over our place. The company has been extremely slow to respond and required several prompts by email and phone calls. It very much feels that they have simply washed their hands of us the minute the installation was complete and we are sorry to say, we would no longer recommend this company.

Excellent Installation Teams
I deliberately waited a period of time to see just how effective the Solar Panel / Battery system solution would work out before posting any review and I've been very impressed even after a few short weeks in terms of the effectiveness of the system and the savings already being delivered. The installation teams (Solar Panels and Electrical teams) were excellent with a very professional approach in how they did the installation. All cabling and equipment was very neatly, tidily and securely installed. In addition, the teams are to be commended on their overall professionalism in terms of their personal behavior, the very easy to understand and informative communication style and indeed their overall work ethic. They certainly represented the Swyft company in the best possible way and are a credit to the company.
Only one minor issue arose and it related to the Sales / Quotation process rather than the Solution Installation. It relates to Swyft Sales personnel not being very clear or transparent with their pricing between the initial quotation and final invoicing with some spurious / inconsistent approaches when using discounts. Whilst the final cost was what was agreed, how it was calculated and how it related to the original quote was very misleading. Also, the promised follow up call from the sales, post the system installation team didn't happen.

The sales representative was very knowledgeable on the system. The team arrived on time and were super efficient in their work. The whole process was seamlessly executed.

Paid â¬99 to a rep on the day of consultation which was refundable in 'ten minutes' should we have change our mind (only company to request this). This refund took multiple calls and emails in order to be processed. We eventually got the refund 4 weeks later. Phone number has 'office now closed' even during working hours. Very unprofessional and more expensive than other suppliers for the exact same project. Steer clear IMO. We waited for the refund before posting review.
