Do not trust this company — charges fees without any proof

**Update to their reply:
“The issue here isn’t the process — it’s that I was hit with an under-declared fee with zero evidence to support it. I measured the freight correctly and you have no photos or scan data to substantiate your claim.

I’ve asked repeatedly, and transdirect have refused to supply anything. This isn’t an isolated case either — plenty of customers have raised the same concern. After years of using Transdirect, I’m honestly shocked that this is the level of support I’m getting over a $16 charge.

All I’m asking for is simple: if you’re going to pass on an extra cost, show the proof.”

Transdirect charged me a $16.59 “oversize adjustment” without providing any evidence to justify the claim. I repeatedly asked for photos, measurements, or scan data from the carrier to prove that my shipment was oversized — they admitted they have no such records and still billed me.

They expect customers to simply accept extra charges on faith, even when you provide accurate measurements. Every other freight company I’ve dealt with can supply proof instantly — Transdirect cannot.

Their responses were dismissive and circular, and after researching other reviews, it’s clear this is a pattern of unverified charges and zero accountability.

If you value transparency and fairness, avoid Transdirect entirely.

Delivery from Sydney to Sunshine coast…

Delivery from Sydney to Sunshine coast got stuck in the depot near the delivery address for almost a week.
Once it got delivered, we've received a new bill of $102.21 on top of the $284.02 fee already paid, claiming the measurements used in the booking were not correct, without providing any kind of proof.
We sent pictures of the pallets before dispatch and more pictures after prooving the measurement considered we're impossible, but they still refuse to provide the refund.
We've been disputing this for almost a month now consuming us time that could have better use elsewhere.

If you're using their service make sure you have pictures and measuments before dispatch to, hopefully, avoid problems.

Worst courier service ever

Worst courier service ever! So slow most of the times. Lost my package and after one week of emails going back and forth saying they won’t compensate anything as it’s on the terms and conditions.

update to your answer: What do you mean by “not answered”? I answered every single email in a few minutes.
Stop fooling people by template answers. The reality is you don’t compensate for the first $100 of lost packages which will be the case for most individual senders packages. And your communication is not responsible and only trying to cover the terms and conditions not helping your customers.

Art arrived safely!

My art piece arrived safely and undamaged. I had some issues with the payment but the staff at Transdirect listened and followed through with my issue resolving it very quickly.

Very poor service

Very poor service, items not picked up on time and had to rebook, tracking system is always behind, items sent to wrong city and taken back to the destination, been more than 3 time the given time and still waiting. Email response is very slow. Stay away

I am writing to formally raise a concern regarding the ongoing issues with your courier pickup and delivery services, which have severely impacted my business operations.

For the past several months, I have experienced repeated pickup delays, with some parcels remaining uncollected for over 8 days despite being rebooked daily through your call centre. This pattern has continued for more than six months, and unfortunately, there has been no meaningful action or escalation from your service providers.

As a small business owner relying on timely dispatch — particularly during peak festive periods — these delays have caused both customer dissatisfaction and reputational impact. While your team has been courteous over the phone, the lack of follow-through or accountability from the courier side is unacceptable.

I kindly request the following actions:

Immediate review and resolution of pending pickup delays.

Investigation into the repeated service failures over the past six months.

Confirmation of steps being taken to ensure consistent and timely pickups moving forward.

Please treat this matter as urgent and provide a written response outlining the corrective actions. In particular, the service performance of Aramex and CouriersPlease has been extremely disappointing. Both providers have shown a complete lack of reliability, with frequent missed pickups, poor communication, and no proactive updates. As a result, my orders have been delayed repeatedly — causing significant inconvenience, customer complaints, and reputational impact on my business.

We're sorry that you feel this way. We reached out to request specific details, but our request was not responded to.
We have reviewed many of your bookings. There are a many that are marked as futile due to the goods not ready, then successfully collected the following business day. The freight needs to be packaged and ready to collect prior to the booking is made to prevents futile delays.
If the same booking is missed or marked as futile multiple times, it is escalated to the carrier's management for further investigation to see if there are any issues or reasons. The carrier has processes in place for these.
If you are not happy with specific carriers, we offer many more however they cost a little more.

They have your credit card details and will charge you extra fees.

Two weeks after delivery they charged me $100 for shipment being "overweight" even when exact measurements and weight were given. No proof or evidence their end. They charged my credit card without even giving me the right to contest. Beware they have your credit card details and they'll charge whatever fees they want.

We're sorry that you feel this way. As you can imagine larger or heavier freight comes with a larger cost. Your freight is remeasured and weighed at the depot using a calibrated laser. Our invoicing department have responded to your email.
Your credit card is not stored as such; however, it is linked to the booking you have made. The additional charges are outlined in our Terms and Conditions, which are agreed to at the time of the booking.

Unclear Fees and Poor Transparency – Be Very Careful with Transdirect

I’ve been using Transdirect for quite some time 1.5y roughly, but lately, I’ve become really disappointed with how they handle “under-declared” charges.

They often add extra fees after delivery, claiming that the parcel’s actual weight or dimensions were higher than what we declared. But this doesn’t make sense — we always measure very carefully and even add a safety margin to avoid any under-declaration. For example, if a parcel weighs 18.3 kg, we declare 19 kg; if it measures 71 cm, we write 72 cm or even more. Still, we get hit with extra charges afterward.

In our most recent case, we used a very strong, solid carton box — it couldn’t possibly expand or change size during transit. Yet, we were charged extra again.

Their FAQ page just says vague things like “This is how the carrier determines the cost” or “Charged Weight,” but there’s no clear formula or explanation of how these charges are calculated. That’s extremely untransparent and unfair.

We also tried emailing Transdirect several times to ask for clarification, but they completely ignored us — not a single reply. That’s just not acceptable customer service.

Because of all this, we’ve started switching to other shipping platforms. Once we find a reliable alternative, we’ll stop using Transdirect altogether.

👉 My advice to other users:
Always record your parcel’s dimensions and weight clearly, and also take photos or videos showing how you measured them before you submit the booking. That way, if they later claim your parcel was “under-declared,” you’ll have solid proof for any dispute or appeal.

Overall, I think Transdirect really needs to improve transparency and communicate better with customers. Until then, I’d suggest anyone using them proceed with caution.

Simple Online Booking

The online booking system is fantastic! You can lodge a pick-up request at any time, night or day. Pick-up is generally the next business day. If you run into any issues with printing shipping labels, a simple phone call and the girls sort it straight away for you. Definitely recommend these guys. Also love that you can compare different shipping companies in the one place!

Hopeless

Hopeless, waited 24 hours for label's which didn't arrive contacted them, they said oh we not sure of your description we need a material data sheet on product and a whole lot of other hoop jumping, they took the money for a 2 day service but never supplied the service, Don't bother I recommend contacting the courier directly a lot less hassle, frustration and your not ripped off.

We're sorry that you feel this way. As you were sending a cleaner, a SDS is required to ensure that your freight is not dangerous goods. We are not licenced to carry dangerous goods. Dangerous goods require an additional license which also comes with additional fees.
You were emailed at 8:19am to request this information, no reply was received. You then emailed us from the same email address we used at 12:13pm and 1:54pm. Also to note, the service you booked was road freight and not an express service.
