Before you travel
- Payment card: a credit card in the main driver's name is needed for the security deposit. Deposit amounts and accepted cards vary by location and are shown before you book.
- Documents: bring your full driving licence and a valid ID. Some countries also need an International Driving Permit.
- Booked through a travel site? Check your voucher for what's included. Cover bought from a third party works differently from ours, and the counter will still need a deposit.

Das Service und die Abwicklung war eigentlich sehr unkompliziert und der Kollege vor Ort freundlich, nur fand ich die Kaution für ein kleines Auto sehr hoch, und die Tatsache, dass ich in Österreich einen Mietwagen mit bulgarischem Kennzeichen bekommen habe, fand ich auch ein wenig befremdlich. Das Abholen vom Flughafen erfolgte erst nach Anruf, das war mir auch nicht bewusst (dachte, da kommt automatisch ein Shuttle zum Mietbüro),

£800+ bill for damages received.
I will try to keep my personal opinions and feelings out of this review, and supply only the facts:
1) When I purchased my flight with easyJet, I was offered the option to hire a car with U-Save Car & Truck Rental at Edinburgh Airport.
2) Since the hire company was provided by easyJet, I was given an amount of confidence that this was a reputable company.
3) Before I had even received the keys to my hire car, the U-Save office staff asked me to leave a positive review for their service.
(I declined on the basis that I couldn't honestly review a service that I hadn't yet used)
4) I was asked by the office staff if I had taken out extra insurance, which I had.
5) Before accepting the car I followed the request of the insurance company and took photographs of the car.
6) I could find no damage to the car.
7) The hire car was presented to me with an empty fuel tank.
8) During the rental period I drove the car very carefully and had no accidents with it.
9) Before returning the car I took another set of photographs.
10) I found no damage to the car.
11) I followed the return process of depositing the key in a mailbox.
12) There was no opportunity to discuss the condition of the car with a member of staff.
13) Prior to arriving home I received a bill for damages to the total of £883.69
14) I contacted the insurance company and asked how I could challenge these charges.
15) The insurance company instructed me to make a claim.
16) I submitted a claim for the unexpected damage charges.
17) My claim was paid within the hour.
18) I will never willingly do business with U-Save Car & Truck Rental again.

Ci sono state delle discussioni per avere il veicolo in quanto non avessi un biglietto aereo. È una politica che ritengo molto sbagliata perché non si arriva a Firenze solo con gli aerei, infatti avevo il biglietto del treno e mi è stato detto che non andava bene. Inoltre tra le clausole c'era scritto che non era obbligatorio se si fosse dimostrata altra prenotazione, ma non è andata bene lo stesso ai responsabili. Per avere l'auto ho dovuto pagare un'assicurazione aggiuntiva che mi è costata più del noleggio dell'auto stessa!! Con questa esperienza non noleggeró più da questa compagnia, e vorrei anche sottolineare che noleggiare un'auto può servire anche solo per sostituire il proprio mezzo personale fuori uso o se se ne è sprovvisti. Consiglio di cambiare policy perché attualmente lascia molta delusione.
