Everything went wrong with my experience with this company. Charm 2.0 bed arrived at least 2 months past the stated delivery date. However, customer service was helpful and responsive throughout this time.

Then, within a year of owning the bed, it broke. The support leg system holding the weight from the middle joist was a design flaw. It was clearly a design flaw given that when I attempted to have this issue resolved through their warranty vendor, they were unable to replace the part because those parts no longer exist. Since we bought the bed, it was redesigned, I’m assuming to fix this issue.

I went back and forth with the warranty vendor multiple times to get this resolved. In the end, they said I was out of luck and offered a $75 gift card for a bed that is now broken that I originally paid ~$1000 for.

There are more frustrating details I could share, but I think this review should serve its purpose. Valyou Furniture in my experience, is not a reputable company and should be avoided.

My last hope at this point is that a company agent reaches out to fix this issue. Otherwise, this feels criminal to have a knowingly flawed product and not be willing to make things right with your customers.

Horrible company! It’s a bait and switch. I’m still waiting on my couch. They over promise and under deliver. They will tell you it will be 4 weeks but it’s going. Their new date arrival date is 3 months now. 6 weeks. Still nothing. They gave me the option of a different couch so I can get it sooner. I don’t want it. I’m so upset I chose this company. No discount just to get it sooner too. Horrible. Who promises 4 weeks to be instead 14 weeks! Now I don’t want the couch. If I ever get it I’ll look at it hate it now. The trouble it caused me. I can’t believe they wouldn’t offer a discount for their mistakes and make you take one you didn’t want in the first place!!!

BUYER BEWARE!!! They do not uphold the standards that are described on their pieces. I ordered a set of chairs that had arrived NOT as described and their customer service people basically told me tough, deal with it. Really really really disappointing.

The 5 star is for delivery. Gentleman went above and beyond to help with the couch that was delivered not as described on website. BUT Valyou has corrected the issue and will deliver replacement.

I have had nothing but issues with this company! From the moment I ordered and there was no tracking link provided for over 2 weeks and the delivery process was outsourced to another company who couldn't help me, to the unsuccessful warranty claim I just tried to submit 3 months after having the couch delivered.

The arm has come away from the base, it is wobbly and sharp under there so much so that I cut my hand on it...and they have told me that "it seems like this may be due to accidental damage caused during normal use, which unfortunately isn’t covered by the warranty."

So I'm now left with a couch with a broken arm, cushions that are pilling and over $800 down.

Thanks for nothing! Don't purchase from this company.

Excited to receive furniture from VALYOU. The delivery was expedited perfectly. There was great communication and they let me know in ample time when they would arrive. We have stairs and Cameron and Gilbert did an exceptional job. Thank you for your professionalism.

The worst customer experience I’ve ever had—and I’ve spent two hours on hold with my student loan servicer. What could be worse than that? How about paying upfront for a bed frame that’s advertised as “Ready to Ship” and then waiting 143+ days for it to actually ship? They’ll spam you with marketing emails, but if you try to contact a real person about the order you placed months ago, good luck. I had to send multiple emails and DMs just to get a response. Even then, I was told my order was being “prioritized,” but months went by. When they missed the second delivery date (and I had to reach out for an update again), I got the same “prioritized” excuse. Each time I managed to get a response, they assured me the wait would be worth it.

Well, the bed frame finally arrived. I’d assumed the long wait was because the bed frames were being made to order in Hawaii or possibly a mainland location. After all, their website claims they handle everything: "Creating, manufacturing, and delivering. No middle men here." But when the package arrived, it was clear the frame had been manufactured in Malaysia. That’s what pushed me to write this review. You can’t claim to eliminate the middleman when you’re actually the middleman. The frame was made by exploited labor in Malaysia, shipped by UPS, and—considering Japanese joinery has existed for centuries—you didn’t even design it yourselves. You’re misleading your customers.

Maybe their in-store experience is better, but if you're thinking about ordering a Japanese joinery bed, just get the Thuma. If the price difference is an issue, put the money you would’ve spent on Valyou in a high-yield savings account and wait six months before buying the Thuma. Or better yet, pick up woodworking and make your own.

This company is horrible. I bought a table. It’s delivered, open the boxes to find that it’s severely damaged. Scratched table top. Two of three legs crack where they are stable enough to stand. See pics. I complain to have a replacement processed, and they say it’s obsolete and I got the last one. Really? What luck. After back and forth for weeks, they finally give me a refund, but get this, it doesn’t include shipping or tax. They made hundreds off me for what looks to be a used table. Horrible. Stay clear of these scammers. I will never buy from them again, EVER. I’ll stick with Amazon. At least they have good customer service.

I would give 5 stars based off the staff delivering the item. However, Valyou’s incessant delays for shipment and lack of communication on why the delays happened make me want to give them one star as a whole. My shipments were supposed to be delivered in early July and didn’t arrive until mid September, with no clear reasons of why that occurred and a hefty cancellation fee to opt out. I will not be purchasing from Valyou in the future.

Company claimed they would give 3 free throw pillows which didn’t come with couch. People at company are so dim that they don’t even know their own products and tried to tell me the 2 small matching pillows for the couch is what I was entitled to. Then they made me file a warranty claim and now? Crickets. With this company’s recent terrible online reviews I’d expected they’d be more customer focused but apparently not. So I’ll be disputing this charge with my credit card provider and let them deal with this horrible company. Zero stars. They suck. Stay away.
