Very Very Rude customer service when trying to cancel Renewal policy
Very Very Rude customer service when I tried to cancel insurance, especially when advisor hangs up on you and when ringing back they try to accuse you of being another member of staff that they have just spoken too from my business..
They also tried to take money from bank account 3 weeks before renewal date .
Absolutely disgusting and so glad that we are moving to a trustworthy , polite company recommended by Which !!

Cannot Cancel or Modify Policy m
Have had VanCompare policies for a couple of years. Generally they've been acceptable. I've had to claim twice. Once after being hit by an uninsured driver.
The app is a pretty poor experience. After it's rewrite it was better, but there's less support.
I had to cancel my policy early as I do t have the vehicle any more. The trouble is, the app doesn't allow you to manage your policy. It forces you to call. But when you do, you cannot get through to anyone. Not evne a bot. The phone line keeps you on hold for 40 to 60 minutes. The callback doesn't work. Nobody calls back.
The app doesn't allow you to cancel at all! So I seem to be stuck with a Ln insurance policy I can't cancel which in turn, means I'm paying for time I can't use.
Watch out for this one!

I used this company on and off for overâŠ
I used this company on and off for over five years. Recently, I cancelled five van policies on the same day after moving to a fleet insurance policy, which they were unable to provide. Each policy was cancelled individually, and I paid all of the required cancellation fees at the time without any issue.
However, two months later they were still taking payments from my account. I called to find out why and was left on hold for almost an hour, only to be told that a manager would investigate and call me back. Unsurprisingly, I never received that call.
After waiting another two days, I called again. Instead of resolving the issue, I received a text message saying another policy had been cancelled and that I owed yet another cancellation fee, despite already paying it two months earlier.
I phoned back and spoke to a representative who simply repeated that I owed the money. She wouldn't listen to what I was explaining, even though I had emails confirming the original cancellation and proof that the fee had already left my bank account. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was refused and told my call would not be escalated.
In the end, I was so frustrated that I paid the cancellation fee a second time just to bring the matter to a close. I have since cancelled all payments to this company and will never use them again.
After more than five years as a customer, this is an incredibly disappointing way to be treated. The customer service was poor, communication was non-existent, and the handling of my account was completely incompetent.

They charged me £784 for insurance butâŠ
They charged me £784 for insurance but the details are all wrong but they won't let me cancel it without a phone call. I cannot make a phone call as I cannot talk due to cancer in my throat. They have now taken another £810 out of my bank account for renewal leaving me overdrawn with charges and no money till I get my pension. Update I still have not got my refund on 10th August. I have still not received proof of my no claims bonus so cannot insure somewhere else. My tax is due and cannot do because my insurance has expired. They are now not answering my email. Customer service sucks. I have now started proceedings with my card company for chargeback as it seems the only way to get my money back. Also sending all details to BBC programme Rip off Britain, they maybe get a response. Terrible way to treat a pensioner/cancer patient
