Please note I have updated this complaint as I had missed out some of the key issues at the start which are now included.
I initially contacted Vertu Jaguar Leeds on Friday 16th of December at approximately 9.15am and enquired about the purchase of F Type Jaguar YB21 TBR. I gave all my details including details of my part exchange and was told that someone would call me back within an hour with more details and a valuation for my part exchange vehicle. Two hours passed and I had not received a call, so I again rang Vertu Jaguar Leeds, to be told that Ranbir was dealing with my enquiry, however he was busy at the moment and would call me back, another hour passed, so I again rang Vertu and asked to speak to a Manager and I was put through to Tom, who aplogised that Ranbir had not rung me back and then asked for all my details all over again including my part exchange, despite me already giving all this information when I first contacted Vertu. We agreed a deal and then he said he would pass me back over to the elusive Ranbir. I then received some paperwork from Ranbir and my DOB was wrong and my address was incomplete. In the meantime I received another call from Tahir asking me for my correct address and to confirm my DOB. I told Tahir that I had already supplied Ranbir with the correct information and for some reason he has passed wrong and incomplete information onto his colleagues. I told Tahir that if he wanted the correct information to speak to Ranbir as he already had all the correct information.
I purchased an F type from Jaguar Northampton in October 2022 and the service I received from the Salesman Dale Iniff was exceptional. However I decided to trade the F type 380 in as I felt it was too powerul and decided to go for the F type 300 at Vertu Jaguar Leeds. Dale Iniff was fantastic, he even personally delivered the car set up my mobile phone in the car, he set up jaguar remote, he gave me a personal demonstration of how everything worked and couldn't do enough for me start to finish extremely professional and polite. Unfortunately Vertu Jaguar Leeds did none of these things and the Service I received at Jaguar Leeds left a lot to be desired as it was error after error, unprofessional and at times down right rude. When I received the original documentation from Ranbir for the purchase of the 300 F type, my address was incomplete and my date of birth was wrong. I complained to Tom who told me to stop getting worked up, not his place to tell me what I should and shouldn't be doing and really not the sort of comments that should be made to a customer. Over the next few days and before receiving the car I received a flood of emails and texts from Ranbir asking me to confirm various documentation. However on checking this it was the same documentation relating to the Sale that was being sent for approval over and over again. All very confusing as I must of been sent the bill of Sale 5 or 6 times and other documentation likewise. Ranbir would send me the documentation then ask me to enter a pin but it was the same documentation over and over again. Ranbir took great pride in his video showing me how shiny and clean the car was in the Leeds showroom but when it was delivered, it was filthy. OK it was a dreadful day weather wise but surely the driver should off been instructed to take it through a car wash before delivery. When I received the car, late afternoon on Thursday, I discovered that the rear number plate was hanging off. I telephoned Ranbir and he told me to get it fixed !!!!.
I told him I was unwell as I had a bad bout of Flu and wasn't prepared to drive around looking for somebody to fix it two days before Christmas as most garages were now closed for the Christmas period. I then asked if he could send someone out to fix the number plate to which he replied "No". The driver who was delivering the car then commented that he would not accept a car that had cost £48000 and the number plate was hanging off and he would take it back. Then the driver suggested to Ranbir that he would take it to a local garage to get the number plate fixed. Thank goodness for the Driver coming up with a solution as Ranbir was no help whatsover.

Because of Sarah's friendly and approachable dialogue, we went from London to Leeds to buy a car.

Sarah Hellewell at Vertu Leeds is the best salesperson ever!!! In the last 10 years or so i have probably bought about new 20 cars so i am well versed in how car dealerships work. Sarah just exceeds all expectations and managed to get me the car of my dreams when no-one else could. She made the whole experience an absolute joy, even coming in on her day off to ensure the handover went to plan. We can not thank Sarah enough. We were in the market for a Range Rover Evoque and were looking for a number of “like to have” extras, we saw one local to ourselves, however we missed it, I noticed one on Autotrader in Leeds and gave the garage a call.
I spoke with Sarah and she was super helpful, she sent over a video to my mobile immediately and gave us a full appraisal of the car.
We decided to go through and look at the car, living in South Manchester it was a journey, however the reception and service we received from Sarah was second to none, she was knowledgeable, helpful and nothing was too much effort.
For a little perspective I was also looking for an F Type some weeks ago and the experience I received from Stratstone’s was like night and day, this I would say is down to the culture within the company and without doubt due to Sarah’s attitude and helpfulness.
we collected the car yesterday and the whole experience from end to end was first class, well done Vertu Leeds, thank you Sarah.

Great service, exceptional from start to finish. Our designated salesman was ikram who was very polite,funny and straight to the point. We came in on Tuesday and collected the car on Wednesday thanks for the great service Ikram and the rest of the jaguar land rover vertu team.

Excellent service from Evan Rotherforth. Kept me fully informed on the progress of my vehicle. Was courteous and polite and very knowledgeable and helpful. I actually forgot to book a courtesy vehicle, but because my car was in for 2 days, they already booked one for me just in case! After fixing the issue, I collected my car which was spotless inside and out. The chap that deals with you when you arrive at the 'Drive In' was so cheerfull and even remembered me from before. I never thought I would be able to afford my dream car but I am now driving it!! A huge thank you to Mike and Bobby for going through all of the finance options and helping find an Evoque that fitted my budget. I was given very clear and helpful advice, and the whole process was incredibly smooth. I had a lot of questions and must also thank Tahir and Oliver for their endless patience when I called because I had thought of yet another thing!! I was shown how everything worked in the car and given a lot of help with the App which was totally new to me. I cannot thank the team or recommend them highly enough.

My self and my husband bought our first Range Rover from Vertu Leeds couple of days ago, Simon Lewis was amazing he made our experience extremely enjoyable, he spent great time explaining all the options that we have. I saw a car online on sunday and valued my car in part exchange I then paid the balance in full via website,it would be delivered and mine taken away great I thought, I got a confirmation email with all the details and so I thought I sorted it straight forward easy good i thought i waited while Tuesday to hear anything and got a email saying i had requested cashback on my car they would to sort it i never requested cashback i paid balance and my px I had uploaded all REQUIRED details but to then told I had to get the previous owner to fill a form out as I had mislaid my v5 in my name as a v5 is not proof of ownership what would it matter it's my car so I thought I was basically talk to over the phone like I was a thief and trying to trade in a stolen car I told them to stick there car and refund my £4000 that they took straight from card I will see if they are as quick to repay as they take I Don't Think They Will Rush Arrogant Inpolite AND CLEVER ON THE END OF PHONE MUPPETS

After much convincing by a very good sales person, decided to give them a 2nd or 3rd chance. Previous car they couldn’t fix a warranty issue after 3 goes- ended up being threatened to be locked into a dealership as I wouldn’t pay a fee to look at the car, when it was a warranty issue. Eventually they got the original dealer to pay for it. Yep got threshed to be locked in the dealership until I paid!!
So I stupidly got told things had changed- how wrong could that be.
Bought car
Delivered after through checks- their TV ad says attention to detail is how they are different!! Had 2 x 10p size holes in the back tyres!!! Yes they replaced them. Asked if the car had been checked- yes fully and valeted- delivered back and seat backs stuffed with used masks and sweet wrappers!!
Two other faults identified/ car been back twice and still not sorted.
Car broke down with major oil leak that went into wiring causing fan to constantly be on and drain battery constantly.
Told by Vertu I had to take it up with finance company- they washed their hands of it. Wouldn’t even offer to change the car- No had to complain to finance
Finance company agree shocking product and shocking service and will take car back and issue a refund.
Vertu- no apology- no ownership- only interested in the sale and nothing else.
Do yourself a massive favour and go elsewhere- they don’t care after they’ve got the sale!!
They should be ashamed of their levels of service and learn to apologise and offer solutions not wash their hands!

Superb service from start to finish, especially Simon Lewis, updated us through out the process, nothing seemed too much for him, regular phone calls and emails, keeping us updated and giving us realistic timescales, we would not hesitate to recommend Simon and Land Rover Leeds to anyone

Personally, I had a great experience with Vertu Leeds.

No doubt, this last year has been a challenging time to buy a new car. I can't say I never got frustrated or thought about canceling my order. But, I appreciate there are supply side constraints across the industry outside of the dealers control. I ultimately felt comfortable holding the line on my order because of the pro-active communication from Vertu, and Simon Lewis in particular.

From the time of order through to delivery, these guys were great.

Just collected my new car and simon lewis was amazing. Such a professional sales person and extremely helpful with incredible knowledge of the product.Simon was so helpful throughout the entire process answering all my emails and getting the process Co ordinated extremely quickly. It took a lot to tempt us back to JLR after previous experiences and recent troublefree Germans.
Raj and Sarah though did a fantastic job in negotiating, sourcing and supplying our velar p400. We were delighted with their customer service, both went the extra mile and Sarah in particular has built a great relationship. Early days of course, but despite supply issues across the industry she delivered on schedule, PDI was immaculate and handover thorough- she even came in especially on her day off to spend two hours running through everything - compare that to a new Tesla take it or leave it 5 minute key drop....

The Evoke handover from Simon Lewis was exemplary. He took time to explain how the car worked and delivered it to my house. He was very patient and clear about all aspects of the purchase.
