Best Turbos did an amazing job fixing the turbos on my Range Rover. The staff was friendly and the repair was done quickly. My car runs like new again. Highly recommend it!

Took my Peugeot 2008 here, service was super quick and easy. Reception team were very welcoming and the technicians were super helpful explaining the repairs my car needed!

Booked my 2015 BMW X5 3.0L dSE in for a turbo diagnostic after the engine light came on. Best Turbos weren't the closest garage, but they had the best reviews online. Took a while to get an appointment, which was frustrating, but they did a thorough check and found a faulty boost solenoid on the turbo. Car's driving fine now, no more warning light. Can't blame the workmanship.

Had my BMW 1 series turbo repaired, and it feels like a brand new car after, also done a free service as well. Very friendly and honest people. Don't understand why they have bad reviews here as their Google reviews are almost all 5 stars. Highly recommended.

Więc udałem się do mechanika ktury zrobil diagnostykę. Usterka to turbo i katalizator. Udałem się do best turbos i zaproponowali regeneracje turbo i czyszczenie katalizatora. Zasugerowalem że może lepiej wymienic na nowy katalizator i turbo . Oczywiście pani w biurze odradziła i powiedziała że mój katalizator i turbo naprawia i będę miał gwarancję . Po 6 miesiącach kontrolka silnika znowu się zapaliła i samochód został sprawdzony przez mechanika w best turbos. Okazało się że ten sam błąd katalizatora ktury był wcześniej . Dzisiaj Mechanik powiedzial że mam trzy możliwości 1 wymiana sond 2wymiana katalizatora i 3 wtryski. A moja gwarancja jest tylko na czyszczenie katalizatora a nie naprawę. Dlaczego nie powiedzieli mi tego pol roku temu że katalizator jest zepsuty tylko proponują czyszczenie za 550 £ ktore nic nie daje !!!

the turbo was reconditioned by them, after I received the turbo back, it could not be installed because they sent me another turbo. they said that the mechanic doesn't know how to put the turbo back on as an excuse. I towed the car to their garage, they forced the turbo to go in and when I finished all the assembly and put pressure on the installation to see if there are any leaks, of course the turbo is not properly fixed in its seat. after many disputes with them, they are still looking for a culprit instead of reaching an understanding. do not assume that they made a mistake. in the end I found out that my turbo was put up for sale on ebay and I have the proof. I was summoned to their garage, intimidated, humiliated, and they did not keep their word, being in a delicate situation. all the conversations I had with them have been recorded.

Finally i had to buy another turbo because they don’t want to give me my turbo back and the refund.

I did not refuse to pay in any way, only that you asked for the payment to be made by bank transfer, which was not possible without having access to the computer at home. I had the payment card with me and you did not accept the card payment because the card machine doesn't work in last 3 weeks. I called the police because you parked a car in front of my car specifying that you don't trust me. I had to call the garage to do the bank transfer. when I asked for hybrid turbo reconditioning, no one mentioned the fact that the turbo would have to be modified on the outside, which would cause installation difficulties. in this case I would have gone for a standard reconditioning. if you still think that only you are right, then I have nothing more to say. another turbo will be installed and I will send the turbo back. it depends on your attitude if you want to refund me.

Another turbo has been fitted, you won’t believe what they done when they force to fit their turbo, they use silicone on the turbo gasket and silicone on the turbo feeding pipe, that’s why turbo had the leak when we test it with pressure. If a small piece of silicone get inside the turbo, its gone, and after that they blame yourself, you did something wrong. OMG that’s a really shame for this company. they actually don’t give a penny for your car, they will take your money.

I’ll send the turbo to back to them, I’m expecting full refund from the turbo, my original turbo back and the invoice i paid when the car was recovered to their garage.

Update after 2 months

I found exactly same turbo at falcon developments, witch fits straight away at 850£ without turbo on exchange and now i understand this cowboys sell me donuts.

I actually lost because of them over 3000£ taking in consideration I didn’t work for 3 weeks.

They even bothered to send me the original turbo back or the refund of 850£ or just to find a way to be ok for everyone.

But don’t worry guys when you lose money, you lose nothing, when you lose your character, you lose everything.

This is the worst customer experience.

A camera has been fitted under the bonnet before they start the installation and they turned in different directions to not see anything. By side of that they said i have the permission to stay and watch how they fit the turbo. After i get the car at their garage, they didn’t left me to watch. This was the cherry on the top, so definitely they had something to hide.

Had my Range Rover in for new turbos in January. Car started leaking oil the day after (luckily I have my own ramps to inspect else I would not have noticed) to which they had to then collect the car and accused me of over filling the oil. They collected the car (apparently I was lucky they collected it as its my responsibility to drop it off after giving them £4300 to repair it and it not being done properly) and repaired it and dropped it back off. 2 days later the car goes into limp mode and has restricted performance and an engine light come on. I ring up frustrated as you can imagine being £4300 down with still a broken car. I have the car scanned at work and every fault is to do with the turbo's. I get told to only email / whatsapp as apparently on the phone they "don't like they way I treat them". I then have to pay another £606 for the apparent next fault which was the turbo bypass module. Don't believe this for one second but just a way of recouping some more money. The car is being used by someone who works for me, and he rings to tell me the engine is now seized 6 months later. Owned the car from new and never had problems and since they've touched it, its never been the same. Avoid this place at all costs, would not use them if it was the last place on earth. Ive seen the replies they give other customers on here which says alot about these guys, can't wait to see the excuses they use on this occasion. No wonder they have 2.8 stars.

Put my isuzu d max in for turbo failure 3 weeks later after several phone calls was told it was the full cylinder head needed replaced 3 weeks later told needs an engine £3000 +£2000 labour 2 months later £5000 for engine £2000 labour then offers me £2000 for the d max

Sold me a turbo that wasn't in stock, so I would need to wait for the other to be returned/exchanged, or I can remove mine and send it in to be refurbished - given this would result in an extra 3 days of my van sitting on a lift, I'm not sure why they think this is a suitable alternative.

I asked about sending a different brand - surprisingly this was also out of stock!

It takes multiple phone calls to get through before they answer, which is less than ideal.

I went to an alternative who had the replacement turbo with me in less than 24 hours, offers a free return label, is cheaper and has a smaller deposit. AND they answer the phone first time. So other than the wasted time, it worked out better for me overall.

I will say the refund was initiated and processed quickly, so 2 stars instead of 1.

BRILLIANT SERVICE, VERY HONEST AND PROFESSIONAL PEOPLE HIGHLY RECOMENDED.

These Guys have done a brilliant job, on my sons C250 Mercedes, the quality of work was excellent, the customer service also brilliant, they gave a time it would be done and on time it was, the price they quoted, was the price we paid, would fully recommend them, well done guy's..

Took my van for a turbo change everything was fine until I realised wheel changing tools had been stolen. Asked the place to help me out and check with the technician and had nothing but abuse not faulting their work but be careful they will steal your things and make out like your trying to asking for money or something off them … loads of optunists when a woman brings a van in. Nasty peoples

BEST TURBOS CALLED ME 3 days in a row to take the review down and tried to reply on Google saying I asked for money back for my tools now a different response on here saying I’m asking for my tools back ! DAMN STRAIGHT! I want my tools back everyone review someone leaves this company they try to argue their way out of it just save your self the hassle and keep away vile little people who lie and steal established in 1800s BC.

They supplied and fitted the hybrid turbocharger for my BMW 330D. Very quick and professional guys as it take just 3 days to complete the job! Highly recommend!

Do not use them under any circumstances!

Gave them a VGT turbo from my dad’s Mitsubishi Canter to refurbish, due to oil leaking from the turbo core into the exhaust which has been blocking the DPF repetitively. I had removed this myself as I am a skilled mechanic.

After around a week, they had still not turned it around, so as my dad needed the vehicle back on the road asap, he phoned them to chase it up and they said it will be ready in an hour to two (conveniently).

Upon inspection of the turbo after collection, I noticed that the compressor wheel had been shot blasted along with the rest of the housing, which is very strange, as when I questioned the guy to ask if they use a brand new cartridge, he said yes we do. I asked why the compressor wheel had been shot blasted then, and he said “because if the old one is good enough then we will use that, bolted to the new core” 😂 what a joker. At this point I also noticed excessive play in the compressor shaft.

I refitted the turbo in the hope that all would be well and I would not have any issues with it due to needing the vehicle back on the road. After correct installation and priming the turbo correctly as you do, I started the vehicle and all seemed well at first. After a minute or two, I lightly revved up the engine and noticed blue smoke from the exhaust housing. It turns out that I hadn’t fully seated the V-Band clamp and was allowing an exhaust blow, however I was shocked to see oil literally DRIPPING from the exhaust flange. I immediately turned the vehicle off and began to disconnect the parts on the exhaust and intake side so I could check the integrity of the turbo. As predicted, there was oil that was leaking from not only the exhaust side of the turbo, but also the intake!

Clearly this was never rebuilt as this should never happen, however it was also a “Friday job” so it didn’t surprise me to be honest as I got fraudulent vibes from the start. As it was “under warranty” I phoned them to tell them I was bringing it back which they were all too happy to accommodate on the phone. When I arrived with the turbo, however, it was a very different reaction. I explained politely what I believed to be the problem with the turbo, and he cut me off while I was speaking and before he had even SEEN the turbo, he was like “NAH. Not the turbo mate. Will be something else because they’re “tested” “, and that we should inspect the breather system 😂. This was an instant red flag for me because he should have taken it to assess it, and then advise on his official diagnosis. I will take this moment to say that all other possibilities of oil in the turbo were firstly considered to give them the benefit of the doubt. This included checking exhaust ports for fresh oil and the breather system, both of which were in tact and completely clean with the exception of a light misting of oil on the breather pipe (as you would expect)

Days passed, and we got a phone call to say there was no problem with it as he originally said - how convenient. I assumed they had found the problem, and just fixed it rather than just admitting liability and act like there was never a problem. When I received the turbo back this time, it was now marked with tamper markings on all the bolts unlike last time, as if they were suggesting I had messed with it. I refitted the turbo and long story short, the exact same thing happened again. In my professional experience, the turbo was the only possible issue as to what could be wrong, so I took it to another specialist for a second opinion. Their findings were that the turbo had never been reconditioned, excessive play on the shaft, and the internals had even started rusting! I noticed that the cartridge was dry when I collected the turbo initially though. This was yet ANOTHER red flag because if it were tested, it would have at least had some sort of residual oil inside the cartridge, but hey what do I know? Maybe it was the BrEaThEr SyStEm after all. I can’t believe they had two attempts at this, too. Jokers.

Which is now sitting in a different garage costing me more money as the turbocharger was put together very poorly causing whoever to squash the flange gasket which was blowing as soon as car ran I definitely should not of been out in this position costing me further money and stress

I warn others to stay away from these guys. My Turbo rebuild ( May 2020 ) was done and fitted into my Car, now I got under boost problem. Instead of help they demand my turbo back to inspect. The thing is there is no need to remove turbo as it works fine done just 400 miles, and only way is to take out whole engine from engine bay or strip off half of engine to get access to turbo from the top. It isn't quick job and all removed elements must be fitted back using new gaskets.
When my question to these guys was if they done any rebuild to waste gate valve ( little valve on side of turbo responsible for holding gases from turbo boost ) I had received answer : " No, we only sandblasting it when works fine and we aren't doing nothing at all ". This is like a joke, you trust them, you send turbo to be rebuild, you pay ( not cheap quick job ) for work done and they only sand blasting importand element of turbo ?! STAY AWAY FROM THOSE COWBOYS and go to professional guys. I would even if I'd pay double their price. Legal action to follow against those Cowboys as just unable to resolve problem in polite manner with their Manager it's like talking to Brick wall.
Guy who started conversation over emails just went deaf and I need to talk to some kind of their Manager ( she sounds like receptionist ) has no clue about Cars what's so ever. It's like Fawlty Towers movie they do something but comes out like totally mess.
They're too busy to resolve problems they had created themselves. Too lazy to call Client and ask if I want my waste gate to be rebuild too. Now too stubborn to call and offer an sensible solution. Just nightmare.
I offered solution to resolve but the only answer is : " you must send us your turbo back to inspect ". Yes, I'll strip off half of my engine tomorrow especially for you and then ......I'll send you my Garage ( who I trust ) bill for £ 1000 as nobody running proper Garage ( not Fawlty Towers like yours ) works as charity removing Turbos and putting them back for free just because your receptionist wants me to do so.
But let's ask Judge ( small claim Court ) to decide. I'll pay money I need to and will claim everything back from you ( + interest & extra for distress ).
My further respond to BestTurbos respond. If you'll continue your offensive language with me I'll sort out my Van myself and I'll claim money from you.
I think it's better for you to cooperate with me instead of fighting with me. But if you into fighting that's fine and I can respond you legally.
I'm very aware of social media activities against my name and I know law ( data protection act ) and I'd advice you to drop your threats against accusing my name in public unless you want legal claim against you. I won't think even for 2 seconds.
If you can sort it out in polite manner that's fine. If you can't sort it in polite manner that's fine too.
I'd advice you to call me and to talk to me ( in polite manner ). Everything could be sorted but not on your terms but on my terms because you had failed to fully recondition my turbo in May 2020 and you got paid for it. I have receipt and warranty card.
I don't think ( at this moment ) it's turbo failure, more it's turbo boost compression failure and could be caused by waste gate valve. I won't take out old waste gate valve before I have in my hand new one.
As your doubts and your jumping into conclusions that I made just 8 miles a week I want to explain that my Van ( and turbo ) made just ca. 500 miles because M.O.T was done just 20 days ago ( this is checkable online ) , this means Van is on the road for just 20 days and it doesn't matter if you did rebuild it in May 2020. From July 2020 until July 2021 the engine was only working on idle every fortnight for several minutes as Car was on stands as project Car.

As an experienced mechanic I have found this Company not only professional but also very helpful. I found Chris gave me a lot of information and would certainly use Best Turbos again

Had my partners car done by best turbos last year went there for turbo then was told it needed 4 injectors and a dpf clean the bill was £2.410 on the receipt it stated the work done it stated the car should be service at 6.000 miles or 12 months the car is my partners life line as she’s a car worker and the last 12 months have been so busy for her with covid yesterday on her way to work the turbo blew again it was taken to my local garage to see what the problem was they dated turbo had blown again and 3 of the 4 injectors are leaking when I contacted best turbos they were very funny with me trying to say it’s the car and not there fault today I was phoned by best turbos and told of I didn’t remove my comments they want look at my car in my eyes that’s blackmail as told to go to the standards of fair trading why are these people allowed to do such things please be careful of this company as they are not all they make out to be the reply from them is a joke and now they saying all correspondence threw email would help if they Replied today I forwarded all the information they wanted Receipts for service and receipts from work they did and still no reply I’m getting the car collected tomorrow and taken to a Specialist garage this people just rip people off
