I Have Shopped Bootbarn For A Long Time In Corpus Christi. All Of My Visits Have Always Been Very Satisfying. I Never Leave Reviews, But This Particular Visit Was Worth The Effort To Shout Out For An Individual Who Gave Extremely Great Service. Her Name Was Ashton . I Didn't Get Her Last Name . Great Job And Customer Service!!

I bought the store on Monday and I wore it for one day and it felt really uncomfortable, I went to go exchange it back and they didn’t want to accept it instead they got mad and said “if it didn’t fit you why did you buy it I can’t exchange it anymore”
The customer service not good
The customer service not good. I was greeted when walking in but was ignored my entire time in store. With a handful of clothes, I waited for a dressing room until I had to go out of my way to ask for a dressing room when they were just standing at the register talking. When shopping for boots I once again had to go to the register where they were all standing again and ask for assistance. Poor management and the store was a complete mess in sizing and clothes everywhere. The store in Madera has potential for growth if they tried.
Shirts that fit the competitor
The rodeo competition cowboys have on occasion to wear pink shirts to show support for breast cancer awareness. Historically, Boot Barn has never carried pink western shirts until now. I applaud Boot Barn for finally getting with that program. I’m a team roping competitor and I require a shirt that will move with you, launder well and stay tucked in my jeans while I’m riding and roping. I also require a tall shirt in size for instance I need an XLT. It’s a good thing I like George Straight because that’s the only shirt I found in an XLT and that was light weight and easy to move in. However, I only had 5 shirts to choose from. I chose two. Hopes this helps you help those of us who want to visit a brick and mortar store in real time. Otherwise we will use NRSWorld, Cavenders, Rod’s Western or Schaffer. Thanks, JeffCoats
Asheville boot barn
Went into the new Asheville store no one around. No one offered any help while shopping asked for the bathroom keys lady looked at them then said “well you gotta have the key” never haven’t offered to unlock them for me. When checking out they just wanted name and email more than anything and bought 257 dollars worth of stuff found out in the way home they had the pair of pants I bought was on sale 2 for the same price online no one thought to mention it…. But they got my email for them advertising. Johnson city store is wayyyyyyy better. Will go there from now on
Never buy from them
Done business here before but never again. Made a mistake and emailed multiple places within seconds, but they shipped anyway. Now I will return but charged $10. I bought the same product today at Tractor Supply for $10 less......I will never buy from boot barn again. Don't waste your time on a reply...so many better options.
Worse customer servce ever
Worse customer service ever! Couldn't get anyone to help find what I was looking for. Just told us to look. Couldn't get anyone to dressing room, Couldn't get conversation or even a flippin smile. Just felt like they didn't give a crap. Very upset. I know not to go there again. It sucked!! Made us feel we were beneath her. If you don't have the personality to work with the public then move on. As its going to cost boot barn in the long run. Has with me! I'll stop ranting as I'm trying to be nice as possible even though I don't want to be. I don't normally let people ruin my day, but right is right, wrong is wrong! And today was so wrong!! I've spent my last dime in there. I will go else where.
Terrible customer service
1 Star – Unacceptable Customer Service
I called the Boot Barn in Medford to confirm they had my size and to clarify their exchange policy for unworn boots. I was told they would not exchange them.
After verifying on their website that unworn boots can be exchanged, I called back and politely asked for a manager. The employee responded, “Don’t come here and do not call here again.”
No attitude on my end — just a simple policy question. Completely unprofessional. I had to contact corporate to get an answer.
Hopefully they will send me the larger pair and a return label like they said. If so, ill update my review.
Allen Park, MI store.
The Customer Service main department was terribly rude and of no help for an error that occurred for an online purchase, routed to a store 4 hours from me! Thank God for the manager and staff at the Allen Park, MI store.
They were so helpful, courteous, and professional in finding a resolution, in which the main customer service representative said there was "nothing we can do". Where there is the will, there is the way. There are may other online stores with the same products, so it would be wise to educate the phone representatives on how to provide customer service like the Allen Park store in Michigan!
It honestly amazes me that the staff…
It honestly amazes me that the staff here works on commission (or at least earns a percentage of sales) because they certainly do not act like it.
I have shopped at this location multiple times and have spent hundreds of dollars in a single visit, thousands over time. Every time I come in, I am polite, patient, and respectful. I smile, say excuse me, and ask for help when needed. Yet on more than one occasion, I’ve been met with rude behavior or attitudes that make me feel like I’m inconveniencing the staff by simply asking a question.
Today was the final straw. I forgot that I had a gift card and had already paid cash. The gift card did not cover the full amount, so I politely asked if the sale could be redone so it could be applied. I was told no. There was no effort to help, no solution offered, no customer-service attempt whatsoever. I was met with a dismissive attitude that made the interaction unnecessarily uncomfortable.
So tomorrow I will be returning everything and repurchasing using my gift cards, and I will not be stepping back into this store again.
The products themselves are great. I genuinely love the clothing and quality. But customer service matters! especially when you work on commission. If you are earning from sales, you should be going above and beyond, not acting bothered by the customers who are funding those commissions.
Very disappointing!!
Restrooms
The City of Plano should take action regarding this store because, according to the employees themselves, the restrooms are not properly set up and they are denying customers access to them.
Fake discounts and coupons
Was promised a 15% off code for giving my email address, NEVER RECEIVED IT. Then for taking a survey was promised at $20 coupon being sent to my email, NEVER RECEIVED IT. Can't trust boot barn

Absolutely awful
Absolutely awful. I ordered a pair of boots which arrived promptly in 4 days, from US to UK. From that point on, it’s been a very painful experience. The very same day I emailed customer service asking how I make a return as the boots were too slim-fitting. No reply. Emailed again 2 days later. No reply. Called their number, no answer. Emailed again 2 more times. No answer to any of my emails. Decided to resort to good ol’ instagram, at the same time raised a dispute with my bank. Coincidentally, I got a reply to my insta post after a few days, and finally got a return label, within a day of contacting my bank. I had a query again, so posted another message, still waiting for a reply to that one. The customs labels put the boots at £147. Bear in mind I paid £190. So far I’m down £43. I posted back the boots, tracked of course. That cost me £40. I make that £83 so far. I can’t wait for the next installment but needless to say I won’t be buying from them again, even when I visit the US. I’ve already spoken with my bank again, who are waiting with baited breath to see how much I get as a refund. I didn’t even try the boots on as it was really clear they were too slim for me. The whole experience has been terrible and not a lot of customer service going around. Shame on you Boot Barn.
The worst Customer Service. This Company has Gone DownHill Fast
I have been a Boot Barn customer and credit card holder for years. They opened a new one by my house off Happy Valley Rd. and Lake Pleasant Rd. I went in today to buy new jeans and saw the hat steamer as I walked in. I asked one of the employees if the steamer was on. She was very polite and said yes it was and pointed to the steamer. I began shopping put a few things on the counter and then went to the steamer. After walking to the steamer an employee named Trinidad rushed over and said the steamer was for employees only. As I reached for my hat which I had worn into the store he said " Do not touch the hats or steamer" his words as he leaned against the counter. As i grabbed my hat he puts the back of his hand against my chest and pushes me back and began to do something in the cabinet below me. I asked him 2x in a calm voice to please move away from me. He just sat there and smiled at me. I then raised my voice loudly and asked him to walk away. He just leaned against the counter with a shitty grin on his face. I had to ask him multiple times to walk away from me. He then says fine I'm calling the police. Wow great customer service. This employee could have handled this in a much more customer-friendly and professional manner. I asked if the manager was there. He replied "no just me". He finally walked away then went to the counter and started talking on his phone . As a working cowboy and rancher I will never recommend this store to any of my friends nor will I give Boot Barn any of my business again and cancel my card. You lost a good loyal customer today.
Went to boot barn in Grand Prairie…
Went to boot barn in Grand Prairie today and customer service was horrible! Older lady working this morning totally ignored me. Couple of men walked in she was all over them. She finally made her way to the register I walked that way, well she took off and never came back after she saw me standing there. I stood for few minutes then walked out….take my business elsewhere! Do better Boot Barn!!
I rarely leave reviews
I rarely leave reviews, but my experience with Boot Barn has been so frustrating that I feel compelled to warn others.
I originally ordered a pair of Tanner Mark Wildfire boots online. The first pair arrived too big, so I reordered them a size and a half smaller. Unfortunately, the second pair was defective—the insole was not glued properly. I returned them, and because it was an online purchase, I was told my refund would be issued via mailed gift card, not back to my original payment method.
Here’s where the problems really started.
When you purchase online, you receive online-only discounts. However, when attempting to exchange or return items in-store, Boot Barn expects you to pay full in-store price for the exact same product, just in the correct size. That is unacceptable. I live 3.5 hours away from the nearest Boot Barn, so driving there only to be told I’d have to pay more for the same boots was not an option.
I then ordered the same boots in a different color in my size. When they arrived, they had a tear in the leather—again, not acceptable for a $200+ pair of boots. I returned those as well and once again had to wait nearly two weeks for a mailed gift card.
By the time I finally received the gift card, Tanner Mark had stopped restocking this boot to retailers, and Boot Barn had sold out of my size entirely. So now I had a gift card but no boots, and I was forced to buy the boots elsewhere (RM Tack Apparel) at full price: $209.
Since I was stuck with the gift card, I tried to use it for other items. That turned into another nightmare:
• The gift card wouldn’t work online due to a system glitch
• I had to call customer service to place the order
• The order was declined the next day
• I had to call again to reprocess it
• Boot Barn doesn’t ship to PO boxes, so I had to change the shipping address to my father’s home
After all of that, one pair of Ariat shoes I ordered arrived too big. I have now been trying for almost 5 days to get a return label. Customer service keeps telling me they don’t know why they can’t generate one. They say they’ll call me back—but no one ever does.
While waiting, the size I needed has now sold out, and the shoes have been sitting in a box for over a week with no resolution, no label, and no refund.
I am honestly beside myself. I have never in my life experienced such a long, complicated, and exhausting return process. Between defective merchandise, forced gift cards, system glitches, sold-out replacements, and nonexistent follow-up from customer service, this has been an absolute nightmare.
Boot Barn seriously needs to address:
• Quality control
• Fair exchange pricing between online and in-store
• Refund methods
• Customer service follow-through
This entire experience has cost me time, money, gas, and peace of mind. I would not recommend ordering online from Boot Barn unless you are fully prepared to fight for a simple return or exchange.
CROOKS
Purchased several sweaters and 2 belts on line. Attempted to return excess items to store. All items discounted per their computer but I paid full price. Clerk attempted to clarify and gave me a receipt with full price reimbursement. Got home and found an email that they changed the amount by $50!!! WILL NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN.
Great Customer Service!!!
I was shopping for some shoes for my daughter for Christmas, this was the only place online that I could find them. Ordered and had them shipped in time for Christmas, but the delivery somehow got rejected and sent back to the warehouse.
I called customer service and the woman I reached put me on hold, went to the warehouse, found the returned box, reshipped it two-day air (no charge to me) so it would be there in time. They made it on time and they were a hit.
Amazing customer service!
