Absolutely lovely stay. The cabin is so tucked away and private that you don’t even see it on the walk up until you turn the last corner. The cabin itself is really comfortable and welcoming, everything has been done to a high spec and thought through well, the views are really lovely and sitting on the deck with a glass of wine in the sun was just bliss. Would love to visit again in the winter to get use of the burner and sit and watch the snow through the giant picture windows.

Really impertinent and persistent questioning post booking about what I may or may not have agreed in terms of price. Unwelcome, inappropriate, pushy and none of your business.

Great properties and well managed site , we stayed in the Brock on Lewis which was stunning and a really cool stay.

A perfect place for a weekend getaway with friends. We enjoyed woodland walks along the River Esk; spotting Kingfishers and Dippers and reverted to being children again in the fantastic treehouse. The house itself is like a boutique hotel with a multitude of rooms to choose from, all with wonderfully comfy beds. The hot tub was wonderful for relaxing in before dinner in the fabulous dining room followed by cosy evenings in front of a crackling fire. Beautiful and peaceful, it was a real treat to stay at Broomholm.

Website and booking was easy. Clear instructions on how to redeem a voucher I was given. Prompt refund of the voucher amount. When I had to contact the team the phone was answered promptly with no annoying options to select from first and the staff very helpful.

Very simple to enquire, book and finalise details ahead of our wonderful stay in The Asparagus Garden. Contact with the host was super easy and welcoming. Hut was beautifully, and stylishly, decorated; comfy bed and excellent quality bedding. Warm and cosy, this hut is a quiet, and very private, retreat. Nearby Lewes a treat to visit also.

Lovely woodland location with a drive through barn! Quite honestly the best welcome book I’ve read - so many tips on where to go to walk, to drink, to eat, for culture and for rest! We needed several weeks to do it justice! The bed was very comfortable and we felt well looked after. Thank you!

The view from Kekaroka Lodge is absolutely breathtaking – one of the most stunning we’ve ever seen. You can even see all the way across to Scotland! We were lucky to experience a beautiful sunset, and later relax in the hot tub under a sky full of stars. Simply wonderful. The little lodge is so thoughtfully and lovingly furnished – everything you could possibly need is there. The crackling fireplace made the atmosphere even more special and cozy. We felt completely at home and truly cared for. Andrea is such a warm and kind-hearted person. When our dog wasn’t feeling well, she helped us immediately with medication, a heat lamp, and even the contact of a local vet. Her care and compassion meant so much to us. We will definitely be back – this was a very special and unforgettable experience. Thank you for everything

What an amazing experience. This hidden gem—a secret retreat tucked away from the world—truly caters to your every need.
The attention to detail was remarkable. From the thoughtfully designed cabin and beautifully tended garden to the hot tub and sauna, every element felt personal and perfect. The essential oils provided added a luxurious touch to the wellness experience.

Cinema night was an absolute treat—intimate, cozy, and unforgettable. The fire pit created the perfect warmth, wrapping us in comfort under the stars. Al fresco cooking on the covered BBQ in the evening, followed by breakfast outdoors in the morning, made each moment feel extra special.

The hosts were incredibly friendly and welcoming—nothing was ever too much trouble. Their warmth, combined with the breathtaking amenities, made this stay truly unforgettable.

Just home from a restorative stay in the Ice House. What a fabulous property with the most amazing views. The house was very cosy & well equipped. Furnishings are homely & comfortable. Watching the sunrise from bed each morning was incredible. We were also fortunate to witness the full moon appear above An Teallach & shimmer over the water towards the Ice House. We loved watching the wildlife from the house be it from the decking downstairs or window seat upstairs. We saw otters & seals most days not to mention the varied birdlife. We even watched 2 white tailed sea eagles whilst heading to Mellon Udrigle one day. The Ice House is well situated for visiting nearby Gairloch (great museum) & Poolewe. The gardens at Inverewe are definitely worth visiting. The Arctic Convoy museum in nearby Aultbea is well worth a visit too. There's a friendly local shop & fuel station a few minutes from the house which was handy. James provided lots of useful info before we arrived at the property & there is lots of reading material regarding the history of the Ice house & it's environs in the property - very interesting ( if you have any spare time!) There are a number of stairs to negotiate to reach the house from the parking area but the surrounding scenery soon distracts you. A fabulous stay in a unique property in this beautiful part of the country.

Like stepping into a fairytale… Heartwood Treehouse was a magical place. Surrounded by stunning countryside, it was the peaceful and private break we both needed. The bed was incredibly comfy (we even snapped a photo of the duvet and pillow labels!), and the view from the sofa was absolutely spectacular. Plenty of wood was supplied for the hot tub, log burner, and fire pit, making it wonderfully cosy and relaxing. The property was spotlessly clean and tidy. We loved taking a ride on the local steam train, first class with a picnic hamper—highly recommend! Special memories were made, and we can’t wait to return. Thank you so much for hosting us! We had a lovely peaceful stay for R&R to recover from a stressful time with medical issues. Corina is a lovely host who left a useful welcoming basket to settle us in. Everything in the cottage is of the highest quality. She has also produced a booklet listing all the pubs, restaurants, things to do and places to visit. Highly recommended

Wonderful historic house slap-bang in the centre of Brixham. There were 6 of us staying, ranging from 2yrs to 62. Parking is pretty straightforward, with one space provided on the harbour front (a tight fit!) and a car park about 10 minutes walk from the house. There is a loading-bay very close to the house which proved useful when un-loading and loading! We found the highlight of the house was the fabulous sitting-room and the accompanying view of the harbour. Also, two of the garden ‘levels’ have great views, if the weather’s being kind enough to enjoy them (we were lucky - it didn’t rain too much and there was plenty of sunshine) Everything kitchen-wise is provided and the house furniture is comfortable. We enjoyed the central location of the house - everything is easily within walking distance, including a good range of eateries and pubs, along with a Co-op. For our one out-of-Brixham meal we went to The Creek pizza restaurant at Galmpton - no ordinary pizza place - it was superb. Nick & Lynn were very quick to answer the odd query and also dropped us a note during the stay to see how we were getting on etc. 5 stars well deserved!
