Contacted Tim and Andy to inspect a damp cellar of our shop. We only use it for storage but the damp was pretty bad and we just wanted to improve the situation. Tim inspected the cellar and provided a report with pragmatic and practical remediations we could to improve the conditions - very happy with the independent advice and service.

Contacted Damp Detectives as I have a buy to let property and the tenants reported damp. One of the main reasons was that they are independent. Evie contacted me the very next day and arranged for Jamie to visit the property. The next day after the visit Jamie called and went through his findings which really helped and within a week I had a full detailed report to assist in dealing with the damp. Jamie also took the time to explain to the tenants the importance of ventilating the property. The service was excellent and I would highly recommend thankuuuu Evie and Jamie 😀

Scott from Damp Detectives came to do my damp survey, he was very thorough and professional, floorboards up, the use off a device where he could see what was going on beneath the boards he then inspected the guttering . When Scott had completed the survey he sat me down and told me what he had found, he then went on to set me a plan to follow, to rectify the problem. He reassured me that the DPC was intact and did not need to be treated, as I had been told previously by a damp surveyor who was not an independent surveyor.
I was so grateful to Scott, and I would advise anyone to use him.

Great, Scott was very helpful, communicative, and did an incredibly thorough reading. I was initially concerned about some condensation mould on the ceiling of a flat I am hoping to purchase. Scott and his report put me at ease, and advised me about remedies to the situation.

Jonathan was very friendly and helpful. While he was conducting the survey on our house he explained what he was doing and showed us the results he was getting from his surveying aids. We received much cheaper quotes from damp-proofing contractor companies, but I know for a fact that we saved a lot of money by choosing Damp Detectives, as the work we needed to do to rectify the problems was much cheaper because we were able to identify the scope of work and price it without being led by the contractor doing the report.

I have some understanding of how and when dampness, mould etc occur, but it was good to have an independent surveyor carry out a variety of tests to identify real and potential threats to use the use of the basement areas in our property.
