First time I used them they were great

First time I used them they were great.
This time however, I have a 2 grand system in my roof that I can’t use - as it requires a vent that is near impossible to find - which is going to cost me another £60 - which they didn’t tell me when selling me the system.

Yeah not left overly happy this time
. When spending so much on a system I would expect it to come complete - not half complete
.

Hopefully this matter gets sorted out quickly and I can update this review

Sharp sale practices with inconsistent promises and advice by Environvent.

We are repeat customers and have even recommended Envirovent to others given our positive experience at the Ealing Flat.

MC from Environvent came to assess our venting requirements and suggested MEV300W for our requirements. He also assured us that our Cooker Hood extraction would also be taken care of in the installation. We specified that we do Indian cooking and we will need Hood extraction. He assured us there is a workable solution.

He charged 50% advance payment of £651 to book an appointment for installation. Paying this money trusting his word was the worst thing we could have done as we were now at their mercy.

We called Environvent two days before the installation to confirm that we have to get the Cooker hood connected to the venting system as well. D on the other line assured us that everything would be taken care off.

Today morning two engineers (in two vans) turned up. The only way I could figure out they have arrived is by some loud swear words. We do not have parking for two vans and were never informed two would turn up.

They turned up at the apartment and said point blank that kitchen hood cannot be integrated into the vent and MC had not informed them correctly.

After that they went on about half an hour of calls and then suddenly it became a game of who said what and who agreed to what.

The conclusion was that the Venting system cannot be installed.

Environvent has charged us £153 for doing nothing, fleecing us, giving us false promises and making us wait for a few months without a vent.

Will absolutely avoid them in the future. At least avoid paying a deposit because their minimum charge will be applicable whether or not the product is installable

Bathroom Extractor and PIV Unit

Had a piv unit and bathroom extractor fan fitted. PIV Unit fine but when I had my bathroom redone and the bathroom extractor stopped working it had to be replaced. Bathroom fitter paid for it as we were told it was due to it being taken down, in all fairness it couldn't have stayed as the bathroom was gutted.

No issues to date since then but when I tried to get someone to come out and service it/clean the impeller it has been like pulling teeth. Advised I could do it myself but screws aren't moving. When I was told oh don't remove the screws, not what it says in the manual, I was told if it is working don't worry about cleaning it.

Still waiting for a response regarding someone coming to clean it after getting in touch with an approved installer they use.

It feels like once you have paid for it and it is installed they aren't bothered. If I clean it and it breaks it is a costly thing to replace.

Very frustrated with the after care service.

Once again no contact whatsoever. Emailed customer care as instructed via the response and still waiting for someone to contact me. Have now revised my score.

Cyclone fan installation

Great service from initial quote by Mike to installation. Very flexible, great communication via email and would highly recommend. Cyclone fan installed in en-suite with no windows and works fab to clear the moisture.

We had it fitted in two previous properties. We are very pleased with the support from Gregg who went through everything in detail. The installer did a wonderful job and an extremely efficient and clean worker and a very pleasant gentleman .

Cannot praise this highly enough

This is the fourth Enviovent system I have had fitted. They are absolutely excellent systems and suprisingly affordable for the peace of mind they give (I even paid for one for my daughter's flat about 2 years ago). From beginning to end a professional service. Would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone (in fact I beleive these systems should be fitted as standard in all new houses and be a legal requirement for all landlords).
