Recently bought my daughter her first car, found the perfect one in the right colour (for her!) All good until I suggested picking it up 1st Oct, then I felt bullied into having it 2 days early and losing a months VED to get sales figures up for sept. Evan Halshaw dont subscribe to the free 5 days insurance (new or used) and i could not get hers set up in time. So I was promised delivery to my house if i paid online. I duly paid only to be told they didnt have time now and I had to collect on the 2nd of Oct.
The headline price cannot be negotiated and a £99 admin is added, and in my case the VED shown on the invoice as zero turned out to be £180! The car had a minor fault in that the tyre pressure system was faulty and didnt pick up rear tyres at 20psi, despite a service 10 days before. This fault has been now corrected, the dealer collected and returned which was good.

Mike was a brilliant and a very helpful sales assistant. Thank you for helping me get my new car!

We have recently bought a car from this branch for my son. From start to finish I was dealing with Mike on the sales team there. I have to say what fantastic service he gave through the whole process. He is a credit to the business. Helpful, friendly, professional and always contactable.
We had the car delivered to Manchester so hadn’t even seen the car but with video calls and trust that the car was as described we were not disappointed.
So I would like to pass on my thanks once again to Mike at Evans Halshaw Hull

Excellent experience .Nick was polite and explained everything in detail . Nothing was to much trouble will be returning when I'm going to change my car in the future .

Came in to look at a Ford Focus , was looked after by Nick , very experienced, knowledgeable and helpful. Would definitely deal with him for future cars.

We would never buy a vehicle again from this dealership. After sales is shocking!! I’ve left 3 messages for 3 days for someone to call me back and still no response! Once they take your money forget the customer service!. Purchased a new van on the promise that one side (damaged) would be painted when we bring the vehicle back to the uk. We explained to the sales person it would be going abroad to design some body kits on it and would be a while for it to return. Covid then happened and everything got restricted. Now that the vehicle is back they will not honour what they said!! We paid full asking price for the vehicle on the basis it would be painted and now no honour. We will be taking this company to court to recover our loses as we will now have to paint it.

Purchased a 2 year old car from Evans Halshaw Hull. The sales part was ok. Was told the car would get a full valet. When I went to pick up the vehicle I had to ask for the service history as there was no paperwork for the vehicle .The only other paperwork I got was a bill of sale. I later checked the service paperwork. It had a 2 year 1st service done by Evans Halshaw. Non Ford parts have been used and the pollen filter has not been changed. It should have been as part of the service. Another Ford dealer has checked the history and a digital copy has not been sent to Ford . So there is a good chance I have lost the remainder of the Ford warranty. I was not given the certificate for The Quality Assured inspection as part of the £99 fee. When I got home I found 2 damaged areas of the windscreen. Was told these should have been done before I picked it up. The car was taken in for the repair. One area couldn’t be repaired, but wouldn’t get any worse. The other they said managed to flatten and smooth it. The other problem was with the valet. Think all it got was a quick wash. I had to remove items what had been left by the last owner .So my Quality Assured Vehicle has probably lost it 9 months of ford warranty . The windscreen will probably crack in the winter by the frost and I had to clean it myself. Not what you expect from a Ford dealer

Today we came to Evans Halshaw in Hull looking for a car for my daughter in the range of £6000 to £8000.
Immediately met with a smile by Mike Cuggan in the Ford section and shown a few vehicles which might suit us. We were not pushed into making a hasty decision and we were allowed a test drive in the car we liked the most - a Ford KA Plus.
A good price was given for our Part exchange car.
All options regarding available extra cover were explained without pushing us into taking it.
We will be collecting my daughter’s car a week on Monday and she is very excited.

I hope you look at this before using evans halshaw. The service is very poor. Do not buy from them the service and after sales will be well below how you’d expect to be treated. Avoid Avoid Aboid.
Do not buy a commercial vehicle from them as you will find yourself in financial difficulty when you need after sales - buy elsewhere. Take heed

Car booked in for a repair and dropped off, I get a call 3 hours later to say the engineer isn’t available because he booked the day off so they can’t do the repair. I complain and said I would collect my car. I get a call back to say they have found another engineer to do the repair. I then get another call to say they now can’t do the repair because they have the wrong part. I go collect my car and they want me to book it back in and waste another day!. It’s worth avoiding ford if you can, the Mache is a great car but the after service is poor to say the least. My car hadn’t moved so I can’t see how they knew the parts wasn’t correct.

I had a good look round at all the cars and found one that was just perfect for me. Antony was so helpful and knowledgeable. Arranged for me to have a test drive there and then. Sorted all the paperwork out including new keeper and tax (was zero tax) He’s a lovely young man and a credit to Evans Halshaw

Joe Horan was a pleasure to deal with. He stuck with me through a difficult phone reception, filled out an account and everything was ready when we spoke later that day. He arranged all documentation with ease and the test drive was really good. Excellent customer service well done Joe and I bought the car!
