Love ordering items from Fingerhut I ordered a lot of things for Christmas and a lot of things for my house and have a easy payment plan

BUYER BEWARE!
Fingerhut credit is good to help rebuild credit for a very short period of time. Afterwards they'll raise your credit limit which will increase your score but then they'll force you to purchase in order to keep the limit. If you don't spend a certain amount they'll take back the increase which will hurt your credit score. I read that review before I tried them but I didn't believe it. It's true. They increased my credit a couple of times. The first I had to spend any amount before a certain date or they'd take back the increase. So I purchased. I paid one installment then I paid it off in full. Next, they gave me another $1000 increase. I spent almost $300. They contacted me and told me whatever I spend would be the amount I would be able to keep as an increase. That means $700 will go back to them therefore dropping my credit score. Had I known that they were not going to accept the $300 I would not have spent any of it. So, I'm going to pay off my current bill and then I'm closing the account. We're in a Pandemic! I'm not trying to spend that type of money. And why should I be dictated on how much to use of my credit. So wrong. Loan Shark Method Of Operation. I thought banks lent money to people who don't need it. Never make people spend more than they can afford. Goodbye Fingerhut!

Overpriced. Ordered a swing set and when I got it o couldn't assemble it die to missing pieces. Called and spoke with a representative and was told " we will shoal your missing items today" this has been two weeks ago and stillnhavent seen the missing parts yet. This company is a JOKE!!

Another junk outfit,,,ordered a couple items, was given a delivery date 10 days in future immediately canceled order due to leaving on a 6 week trip in 4 days---5 years later still being threatened with courts and other threats currently,,,,wish they would come to court luckily still have proof it was cancelled so come on- clowns

This place will screw you, they have kept $470.79 of my money for an item that had to be canceled by me because the company Pilot called me and said they could not find my item to deliver it. Fingerhut has not returned my credit are the money that I had to pay from another card to cover the rest, $355 was Fingerhut credit and $115.79 was out of pocket, they tell me to call because they need more information but can't reach an actual person and then they keep giving me the run around in emails they send.

I'm making this complaint because first off, I never needed Fingerhut. I got it to actually help my daughter. But my complaint is they want to pretty much make you buy something. If I need something I will get it, if not why are you all telling me that my credit limit will decrease because I'm not spending any money with you. I don't owe them nothing but they want to mess up your credit because your not buying. I'm looking into a class action lawsuit against them for illegal practices. I have good credit cards and they don't bug me with mail and messages trying to make me buy anything. This needs to stop...PERIOD Had I known they are this crooked I would of left them alone.

This company reports TEMPORARY credit line increases to the credit bureaus. Doing this it negatively impacts your credit! When you don’t use the credit line increases they take it away and drop your credit line and then report the decreased credit line! This has got to be illegal!!!!! I’ve never been late for a payment with this company and they have caused my credit score to drop significantly. PLEASE PEOPLE, if you have less than perfect credit and think you will use Fingerhut/WebBank to help you improve your credit DON’T!!! They are designed to keep you as a paying company until you die! When you get close to paying them off it’s like you are punished for doing so. I’m very disappointed in this company....

the worst company to build your credit with ever I would not recommend to anyone I was late twice never received any notifications about it and reported it and didn’t even send us right merchandise ALL WRONG MERCHANDISE RIDICULOUS AND SO UNPROFESSIONAL

I made a purchase but never received my item. Fingerhut refused to ship my item. They added negative item on my credit report. I ended up paying for an item that I never received. I paid it because I didn’t want any negatives on my credit report

I opened a Fingerhut account many years ago when I was having financial problems and was trying to reestablish my credit. I have since repaired my credit and have been working to pay off my fingerhut balance. I have not used this card in over a year. I joined CreditKarma to monitor my credit and I noticed that Fingerhut had me down for a late payment in January of 2019. I do not recall ever being 30 days late on a payment so I called them and they told me that I was 14 days late on a payment that month. I know that it is against federal regulation to report a person to the credit bureaus before their payment is 30 days late. I called them. They told me I would have have to file a dispute. I tried to explain to them that reporting me for a 14 day lateness is against federal regulation. I have filed a dispute through Transunion. While I am waiting for Transunion to investigate this, Fingerhut has not reported that my balance increased by $61 for the month of March. I made a $100 payment. I called them. Their customer service person tried to explain to me how my balance increased by $61 because of interest. No No..and NO! It does not work that way. I became so frustrated with this person I ended up hanging up the phone and I have had to dispute that now as well. I cannot wait to get this paid off so I can be done with them.

I had an account with finger hut for many years. Always paid my balance in full and on time every month. Tried to pay my final balance and my account gets locked out. Cust Serv rep didn’t want to help and a manager was only wanting to take my final payment over the phone. So I closed my account and will never spend my money with thus company again !

Fingerhut is horrible, run by a bunch of incompetents!!!
They are the only company who would not help people in the pandemic. I still had to pay through their "hardship program" which did not save much at all. Then when the program ended, they did not update my account to reflect the change, and I was not allowed to purchase anything. I called several times, was transferred to many different departments, and nothing was resolved!!! It has been so frustrating and infuriating!!! I used to order from them, but now I just want to pay off my balance and shop elsewhere! They have the worst customer service team I have ever encountered in my life. They are overpriced in addition to being incompetent, so save your money and shop somewhere else!!!

The worst company ever.. My first Purchase I received they sent the wrong item. Customer service was no help making me wait 7-10 Business days to receive a return slip the it will take up to 15 days to process the return before another up to 15 days to receive the Item I really ordered. And expecting me to make payments on it during this time and I wont want or need it by then. The I'll probably have to wait another 10 days for my refund

We purchased our christmas presents in November from Fingerhut because they had an offer of "NO PAYMENTS UNTIL APRIL 2021" which I thought if we paid on it until April our interest charges would be lower. Went online to find out why the charges we still owe are higher that what we calculated found out they were charging interest rates for every month that were supposed to be free. FALSE ADVERTISING!!!!!! When we asked why they stated this is their policy and basically sorry for luck you still owe.

If I could give a rating of a zero. I would. My experience with Fingerhut has not been a pleasant one. Even when on time and current on my account. They call within two weeks of a payment being due say it's past due when it's not. Then when you tell them I am working they keep talking. Their products are crap. If your needing credit building pick a different avenue. Fingerhut is awful

I am very exited with fingerhut, I applied for them in 2015 when I credit score was 350 fast forward today 6 years later my credit score is $750 I would recommend them to everyone but you have to keep you balance low.

If there was a chance to give this company 0 stars i would, Fingerhut of course gives those that can get a credit easily to purchase items without the actually cash a chance to maybe build their credit or whatever it is you can call it, however they are TERRIBLE with their service and high interest rates. Customer Service does not even have people that speak proper english as to where they can fully understand your issue. My grandfather retured a laptop to them over two months now and they never picked up the item from the post office, they kept telling him they would sort it out but NEVER DID.. now he has to fill out a form as if it is his fault the item has been lost or not received and they refuse to credit his account.

They are rude when they answer the phone and are very sarcastic. I was told I had a late payment, I asked how since my account is on auto-pay. She said September of 2022. I said 2022? she sarcastically said yes 2022. She was very unknowledable of the business or something.

I started with Fingerhut trying to get my credit score up, It did help my credit score however everything I got from them very cheaply made, defective and monthly payment OMG I pay more to them than I do my credit cards. And it seems like the balance never goes down. So I plan on paying it off I have 600 and something dollars even though the products I got were probably worth 150. I’m wondering if I paid off is it going to hurt my credit score? I see were people say they paid off and do not use it and their credit score went down.I really regret ever starting with them. If you do not need Fingerhut please please please do not use them. You will so regret it soon after.
