Das man nach einem Langstreckenflug 90 min auf sein Gepäck warten muss kann ja mal vorkommen. Zeitgleich sind 3 weitere Flüge aus Asien gelandet. Es standen für gefühlte 800 Leute ganze 32! Sitzgelegenheiten zur Verfügung und dann wird man von derart unfreundlichen Mitarbeitern angemotzt, weil man sich irgendwo hinsetzt - in dem Fall ein nicht funktionierendes Kofferrondell. Echt unterirdisch!!!!

Worst airport and terrible customer services in their shops. They are so rude and one lady was racist tries to serve the white people before us when we were clearly there first. Germans are really not beating the racist allegations

This is the rudest security staff and airport staff you will ever see. Worst airport of all time. The security staff bullied me during the search. Will NEVER have a connection by FRA again.

My dog traveled from Cyprus to Frankfurt on a Condor flight. Everything had been done correctly: his crate was brand new, sized according to the veterinarian’s recommendations, and the veterinary examination had been done several days earlier, as required by law. We had all the necessary documents, microchip, passports, and vaccinations – nothing was missing.

When it was time to return to Larnaca with Lufthansa, the check-in process at Frankfurt Airport became incredibly difficult. The employee at the special check-in tried to find a problem with the crate. She started asking about the screws, then told us, “you didn’t put water in, if you don’t, the dog cannot travel,” and eventually told us that the crate was unsuitable for the size of the dog, demanding that we purchase a larger one on the spot from the airport store. The only available crate was twice the size and sold for €185, and according to the employee, without it, the dog could not travel. Moreover, purchasing the larger crate would automatically change the dog’s ticket category, doubling the transportation cost.

Due to the excessive cost and the coercive manner in which it was demanded, we did not proceed with the purchase. As a result, our dog remained in Frankfurt, while my husband returned alone to Larnaca. If there had been no one there to temporarily care for the dog, we do not know what would have happened to him.

The most concerning part is that we were informed that this practice occurs very frequently, on a daily basis, at Frankfurt Airport. is this an isolated incident or it is a systematic hardship for passengers traveling with pets????

This experience was not only stressful and costly, but also dangerous for the dog’s well-being. I hope all passengers traveling with pets are aware of what they might face at Frankfurt Airport and carefully consider how they transport their animals.

Terrible airport. The woman who handled our passport control was aggressively rude in a way I’ve never experienced in any other country. She shouted at us and abused her position to intimidate and threaten. I will not return here.”

Parken ist sehr teuer, Flughafen eigentlich ok. Fliege sehr häufig von dort. Alles in allem verbesserungswürdig, aber man sieht das immer mal wieder was upgedatet wird. Ist halt ein sher grosser Flughafen...

Wg. "Eis" ist die Skyline außer Betrieb!!
Das ist schonmal grundsätzlich sehr ärgerlich, da frostige Temperaturen beim Bau einer Bahn in Deutschland durchaus berücksichtigt werden sollten.

Aber wenn dann, dem üblichen Informationschaos am Flughafen gerecht werdend, dann diese Info nur direkt am Skyline Terminal und nicht bereits früher an der Bus-Transferstation angekündigt wird, dann ist auch ein Stern zuviel!

Schikane beim Security Check. Zahnpadte fast leer musste abgegeben werden, weil Inhalt über 100 ml (natürlich nur wenn voll). Mitarbeiter unfreundlich, schikaniert, durchführt Toillettentasche. Totaler Machtmissbrauch.

Im Sommer nicht klimatisiert und jetzt im Winter auch viel zu warm und stickig. Extrem ruppiges Sicherheitspersonal, kaputte Rolltreppe, schlechte Beschilderung, keine Wasserspender nach der Security. Schmutzige Toiletten und Wartebereiche. Der Shuttlebus zwischen den Terminals schmutzig. Ich bin mal wieder fassungslos, wie schlecht dieser Flughafen ausgestattet und organisiert ist.

Wir haben 5 Stunden stopover, versuchen vor dem Weiterflug etwas auszuruhen (20.12.2025) und stundenlang schrie eine kleine Gruppe mit Mikro und Lautsprecher in der Abfertigungshalle das komplette Terminal 2 zusammen. Unerträglich!
Es ist mir egal, um was es denen geht, aber das sollen sie woanders rausschreien! Und das Flughafenmanagement machte anscheinend genau - nichts! So ein schlechter Start in den Urlaub. Gerne diesen Hub umfliegen...

NIE WIEDER! wir sind um 08:30 gelandet und unser Gepäck kam erst um 10:30!!! Grund: Personalmangel. Nach den man 2 Stunden auf sein Gepäck gewartet hat wird man von unfreundlichen Polizisten rausgezogen die rum grinsen und sich den Tag damit versüßen wollen in dem sie einen noch Sprüche ablassen. Hinflug Business class gebucht aber durften nicht durch die Lounge in das Flugzeug. Grund hierfür, ebenso Personalmangel! Lächerlich

This airport is the worst in Europe for passport control, security queues, confusing signage and generally unhelpful staff. I hate having to travel through this airport.
I was planning to buy some Christmas presents in duty free today on my way home. Passport took so long that I was unable to. I am sure your tenants will be delighted to hear this

Flughafen Frankfurt! Der Weg zum Fernbahnhof ist umständlich. Und dann ist auch noch die ewig lange Rolltreppe zu den Gleisen defekt. Kein Hinweis auf einen Aufzug. Passt irgendwie zum Flughafen!

I waited for 30 min to get in the lounge, and then they told me my card is not allowing me inside the lounge. Maby update your website then.

Der schlechteste Flughafen den ich in 40 Jahren erlebt habe. Unfreundliches bis arrogantes Personal. Was glaubt Frankfurt eigentlich wer sind. Dieses hessische Dorf lässt als einziger Flughafen keine Amex Kunden mit Platincard in die Louge. Einfach nur arm.

Der Flughafen ist gut, es gibt überall soweit das Auge reicht kleine Läden oder Restaurants. Der Flughafen ist auch sehr übersichtlich gestaltet und das einzige was nur ein kleines bisschen ärgerlich war aber keinen Stern abzieht ist, dass die Gepäckaufgabe bei der TAP ein bisschen später als erwartet war.

Frankfurt Airport was one of the most confusing and frustrating airports I’ve ever been through. The signage is practically nonexistent, especially when trying to find long-distance train gates, hotels, or specific lounges. There’s absolutely no clear distinction between halls and gates — it feels like a maze with no logic or direction.

What made things worse was the staff. I don’t know if they genuinely don’t know their own airport or if they simply don’t want to help, but almost everyone I asked for assistance gave me nothing. I asked about a dozen employees where to go, and most responses were just, “I don’t know.” One woman literally just shook her head no without saying a word. Another man told me flat out, “No, I have no information for you.” And to top it off, one employee insisted there was no hotel connected to the airport — when in fact, the Hilton is right there!

I ended up wandering aimlessly for ages trying to find my way. The maps online might be fine in theory, but they’re useless if there’s no signage in the airport to match them. For such a major international hub, Frankfurt Airport should be much better organized and staffed by people who can actually assist travelers.
This is the worst airport experience I have ever had in the world -- and the only bad experience I have ever had in Europe.

The German language have many fans - including me - round the world. For good reasons since so many words are unique and cannot be found in any other language. Oktoberfest, Spielverderber, Sprechstallsmeister, Sauerkraut and Weltanschauung are good examples. Common to them all is that they have a certain Geschwung and give you a good mouth feeling when pronounced. And now after many years of hard work Frankfurt Airport has been nominated for new unique word for the German Word of the Year competition. Its called eine "Aussenposition" and is brilliant since it covers up for the fact that there is an overflow of incoming aircraft. As a result aircraft are parked far away from the gate for buses to take you to the terminal. And that has now been turned into a "must see" experience. Something just as Frankfurterish as the Frankfurter sausage. Your Aussenposition Experience is totally free of charge and takes place in Vintage Diesel Buses from before the fall of the Berlin Wall. You will see all the corners of the gigantic airport. Just make sure to add an extra ½ hour for the tour. Highly recommended
