Furniture Village - Reading レビュー 

I am extremely disappointed with Furniture Village and this has genuinely been one of the worst retail experiences I have ever had.

We ordered a Tempur bed frame and mattress on 28 February 2026, with delivery originally promised for 24 March 2026. The bed frame only partially arrived on 26 March. We also paid for assembly, but the installation team told us that a part was missing, said someone would return the next day to fix it, and then left without completing the job.

Nobody came the next day.

We called several times afterwards and received conflicting information every time. One team told us the issue would be resolved quickly, another told us to wait until 6 April when the mattress would be delivered. On top of that, the attitude from the fulfilment team was rude and dismissive.

Today, 6 April, the mattress finally arrived, but it was simply left in the middle of our house and the team left without assembling the bed or making it usable.

So after paying around £4,200, my wife and I still do not have a usable bed and have been sleeping on the sofa for around two weeks.

What is most shocking is not just the delay, but the complete lack of ownership, poor communication, and unprofessional behaviour throughout. No one seems to know what is going on, and every team gives a different answer.

This should have been a straightforward purchase and delivery. Instead, it has turned into a stressful and unacceptable experience. I would strongly advise others to think carefully before ordering from Furniture Village.

We had a really great experience at furniture village. Mo at Reading branch was really helpful and went extra mile to get us the best offer.

Extremely slow customer service, they do not seem to care once you purchased and received a faulty product. They do not give updates and seem to be reluctant to pick up the faulty item and refund you. I am very disappointed after having spent so much at this company and previous positive experience

Smooth and efficient delivery and assembly of bed by Kamahl and Andy. Markey was great too that we dealt with purchasing the bed.

Jimmy Carr was attentive but not overly , he was very knowledgeable about the products we were interested in leading to two sales one sofa and one bed , very impressed thankyou

Fantastic customer service by Mr Mark Lovegrove at the Reading store. He explored with us all possible options and all possible combinations. Nothing was a problem for him. We felt well looked after. I also appreciated that he was very calm and collected rather than pushing for a sale. Guess what?!we bought more than we planned to!

Selling good quality staff and taking time to explain all the necessary information

Great support in shop when visiting store delivery team kept in good communication and were very efficient in setting up my new sofa

Abs was very helpful, and arranged collection of faulty chairs.

Valentino was great, really helpful and managed to get everything done very efficiently

Salesman did a thorough job although because he was taking over from another colleague to place the order, he had to use a PC rather than a tablet and it looked like a slow and hostile human computer interface nightmare.

Just brought a table from furniture village and the salesperson Marky was so helpful. Wasn't pushy just waited till we made our decision and then he went ahead and sorted everything for us with the sale. Very knowledge and very professional and a great addition to the workforce.

All the sales people were very helpful, giving lots of information but not pressuring for a sale. When we did decide to buy Markky was very thorough and took his time until we were happy to go forward with the sale.

The delivery team and Lola and Sean in Customer Care have been excellent in helping to get my replacement table ordered. It's a shame that the original was damaged but everyone has been very helpful in sorting it out to order a replacement. I hope it comes soon.
