I am a hairstylist as well and I have read through the reviews seen here. I’m experienced with applying extensions and have had extensions on my own head for ten years.

I ordered 22” layered crown and I returned it simply because I felt it was too big for my head. I followed the instruction videos and tried several times to fit it to me but it came too far forward on my temples to look natural, be concealed, or to be comfortable. I couldn’t move it low enough to fit like the instructions said it should without it being right on top of my ears, my ears then caused a bump. Never experienced this with any other type of extensions.

I also wanted it to fit low on my head like a headband, but apparently that’s not how you’re supposed to wear it. I wouldn’t have been able to move around freely without this piece popping off my head because of how high you are supposed to wear it and because my ears were forcing it upwards. I do a lot of modeling and spokesmodeling events that have to do with motor sports where I’m moving around a lot and this piece wouldn’t cut it, wouldn’t stay on.

The color was spot on, the hair quality is hard to tell without washing and styling several times as extensions hair are coated with silicon to look shiny and perfect and feel silky. I have nice long hair and I only get extensions for curling since my natural hair won’t take a curl but no way to know since I was going to return.

Some people commented that the top of the crown had a bunch of short hairs sticking out of it and that is normal for some wefts, this is a weft based unit. People also said their hair had occasional very dark or very light hairs sprinkled in and that’s normal too.

Customer service was very polite and helpful with me. I was moving when I mailed my return and with all my stress from that i completely forgot to include some info in the package about who i was and proof of my purchase. I contacted them and they were fine with it, they asked for my tracking info and took care of it all.

They do not allow bad reviews on their site, that’s true and it’s shady, why bother to even allow reviews...that’s not how reviews work.

This didn’t work out for me but these reviews here are kinda extra. Take them with a grain of salt.

The product is terrible quality, I specialize in extension and have for over 15 years. The company is very shady and not transparent at all with their product! They deleted my first review on their website as well as my second, therefore you only see GOOD reviews on their site, not true reviews!!!! Don’t believe everything that you read. Just because they have a bunch of positive reviews on their website doesn’t mean there aren’t any negative ones and unsatisfied customers. But ask yourself WHY isn’t they’re any negitive reviews on their social media and website???? Because they are just deleting all the negative. As Well as when I made a comment on their social media in regards to how I felt about the poor product quality and customer service. They deleted my comments three times, when I attempted to message them they then blocked me. Extremely unprofessional.

I ordered the 22” layered halo extensions this past week for my wedding, upon receiving i wasn't impressed. I am a stylist, who is trained in 4 different systems of hair extensions, I work with production for hair and makeup as well as photographers on set for clients. I own my own business as well, doing hair and makeup for special events. I wanted to try these to market to my clients. But I defiantly will not now after this situation and how the company handles themselves. Upon opening the hair felt rough and course, there are white wiry hairs blended all through out as if it isn't truly 100% human hair. I at least reached out to them via email. Days later with no response, I them took it to social media and commented on one of their posts that I was unhappy and how i felt about the quality of the hair and their lack of response to my email. They then deleted my comment on Instagram, so i posted it two more times, they each time deleted it and them blocked me!!! Most honest, professional and respectful companies would comment back and say something to the effect of "im sorry you're unhappy, one of our team members will get back with you shortly" This was not the case with them, they just blocked me. Therefore i emailed them again, as well as messaged them on Facebook messenger. The response from them was a technical support person will get back with me and that they don't return the hair since it was worn. The hair hasn't been worn yet, security tags removed yes, so i could actually inspect the hair, regardless of their return policy, I needed to see for myself the quality and you cannot do that unless you actually unfold the hair. It reminds me of the hair i use to buy from the stores in Detroit for super cheap back when I was younger and didn't know that you could buy better hair. Regardless, the lack of professionalism on the companies part and care for a customer satisfaction is shocking! I mean they literally couldn't take the criticism so they blocked me, which tells me that they're guilty of a bad product and don't want people to know it. So disappointed in this company and how they handle themselves. Don't buy from them, contact Halo Couture and they will take better care of you! I called them and told them what happened and they rush ordered me hair from them, they were appalled but what I told them I experienced with Hidden Crown Hair.

I was happy, I thought I had found the solution to my problem, I paid 450 . I was expecting a natural topper, natural hair, undetectable, very thin like your photos. Result: I find myself with a headdress with bristles burned on the tips, even less beautiful than my natural hair already damaged, and especially with a look NOT natural, as for a disguised evening much too thick at the top, omg, I do not see the difference with a cheap topper at eBay at 30 dollars

I then saw many consumer comments online that said the same thing.
Today, in result , I am very sad for my hair, I lost a huge amount of money for me, for nothing

Not a product i would ever spend $450 on again. It's really too bad to buy something so expensive and the product come back and not fit your head properly and be a totally different color of your hair. Really frustrated with my experience as well with the customer service.

Product is usually satisfactory; however, the the treatment my client and I are currently receiving from their ridiculously rude customer service, upon receiving a defective halo, is insane. And trust me....it’s not actually Bonnie B. who’s responding to everyone’s emails. She’s just the face of the company. These are minimum wage cronies answering you, who have no idea what they’re talking about—they’re put in their positions solely to be difficult, so you’ll get frustrated and give up. I’m a stylist with 15 years of experience and have literally been argued with by their customer service rep (who clearly knows nothing about the wholesale hair market), insisting the reason this faulty piece won’t hold a curl is because neither myself or my client know how to curl hair and are using shoddy tools. He/she actually had the nerve to claim they’ve never had any complaints and said it could be “because of the weather” that my client’s halo looked like it had never been curled, after 30 min of wear.....inside her vehicle!! Are you kidding me?! I have never been insulted or treated so inappropriately by a company in my own industry, in all my years as a hairdresser. Ladies: social media is the only way we can expose this company for their bad business practice!!

I rocked my hidden crowns to The 61st Grammy’s and felt like a princess!!! I am full of joy to offer these products to my clients so we can all have a chance at princess mermaid hair!!!!!!!! Thank you Hidden Crown for making me the star of the night at The 2019 Grammys!!!!

seriously don’t waste your money on this brand. i’ve had multiple types of extensions. these are useless. also the customer service is awful

I have purchased the 4/613 topper and a matching extension. I must say that at first I was so excited because it came so quickly...until I opened the box! The topper I got was way lighter than it appeared (4 with 613 hightlights) or should have been (I think they use too much blonde highlights), the ends were very frizzy looking, the knots were sooooo noticeable and it wouldn’t sit flat on my head no matter what I did. However the halo hair was amazing quality all the way through to the ends but I couldn’t wear it bc my hair is so thin and fine it is very noticeable especially when it cuts into my scalp. That being said, I emailed the company about the topper and Bonnie replied and was so rude. I continued to ask for a customer service number but there wasn’t one and she refused to call me; she said they only reply through email. Ok, so I figured maybe I got a “lemon” topper but of course couldn’t return it so it sat for months until one day I just decided I was going to make it work bc I wasn’t throwing the money I spent away(and they were much cheaper then). I had to use powder and makeup to cover those knots after much research on how to fix it. I took a lot of time (days) but I got it to work but it definitely wasn’t a go to everyday piece. So fast forward and I was about to get married, so I ordered their new layered halo because I needed more hair for my wedding and was pleased with the first halo quality even though I couldn’t wear it daily wear bc it hurt so much from digging into my scalp. Well I decided to order another topper thinking that maybe it was the color I ordered or just a fluke that the knots were terrible or maybe even after a few years, they improved the product. They do have higher quality hair and the price had gone up quite a bit but still cheaper than some. Well...stupid me not learning the first time. 3 years(maybe 4) and they still haven’t tried to improve their product...still the same knots. Their base is the worst base I’ve ever purchased and it’s such a shame bc their hair is of higher quality but there are much better silk bases they could use to fix the problem and make the scalp look real and get it to lie flat on the head.

I have been purchasing hidden crown extensions for over four years now, and I can honestly say each purchase has been more than worth it! My natural hair is very fragile and breaks off very easily. With my mom being a hair stylist I have always been very self conscious about my hair but when wearing my extensions I get such a confidence boost. These extensions have a very natural appearance and when it comes to telling people I have them they are always in complete disbelief. These extensions are also very comfortable to wear throughout long periods of time and hold styling very well wether it’s curly or straight they are never a disappointment. Forever happy with my extensions and will be purchasing another set here in the next few months. I tend to buy them every 7-8 months to have a healthy new look. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I contacted them as a Crohn’s Disease patient asking about holiday specials & if any are also happening during the after Christmas season, also seeking hair choice advice, and as a contact point through the Foundation, NOT looking for any freebie, also ready to write reviews for the foundation as it’s a great target market for them,& let’s face it a competitive one. Lots of great hair out there! I’m also a voice talent , whose also a stylist, signed to a 3 major agents one being Ford. I work with every ad agency, producer, radio & TV station not only in this state but many across the country.,Bonnie B sent me the most curt, this side of rude note, telling me they take pride in the quality of their items and no deals and bugger off attitude. Did not answer all my questions, a few sentences, and lost not only this sale, but alllllll the referrals I may have offered. I’ll never use their stuff for photo shoots either. So, I guess the elitist attitude was foolish, on many levels, she didn’t have the common decency to have s normal convo by a polite, take care, hope you’re feeling well, or some etiquette anyone normally might, but ironically, (and yes I laughed out loud), she signed off “Warmly, Bonnie B”. Ummmmm....k. A real disappointment. So, I bought from She/Beyond the Beauty-LOOOOVE it! My next piece is coming from Glam Seamless! Which I DO recommend! So excited. Oh, she stated they offer “THE” lowest prices in the industry”. NOT. I’m sure the pieces are decent, but sometimes, you get what you pay for. After being treated that way, I’ll never buy from them! She was literally heartless. She lost a sale, and the domino effect is huge. You never know who you’re talking to Bonnie, too big for your britches is NEVER a good thing. And she seemed to have such a good vibe in the videos! Sad. No thanks.

The hidden crown topper is terrible. No matter how much I parted and sprayed with water and blow dried it, it still does not have a natural looking part. It does not sit close to the scalp. It basically looks like a wig. Mine also has a lot of broken short hairs on top that stick up. Do not be fooled by the You Tube videos...this does not look natural. Very unhappy and $500 down the toilet.

I have had alopecia areata for almost ten years and had resolved myself that I was going to live with patchy, thinning hair the rest of my life. A friend had purchased Hidden Crown extensions and suggested I give it a try, to add volume to my hair. I was able to find an exact color match with the advice of customer service and I had a hair stylist trim it into the best style to conceal my thin patches and bald spots. Anyone who has thinning hair for whatever reason understands what it means to lose your hair and how you feel less feminine and less attractive, and how damaging that is to your self esteem. Imagine how amazing it feels to look like you have a full head of hair - it makes me feel “normal”. I look like myself again. On the practical side, the extension is extremely easy to care for, slips on and off without pulling at my fragile hair, doesn’t damage my real hair at all, and stays in place. I get compliments on my hair all the time, amazingly from strangers who have no idea that I am wearing extensions. I’m back in the game. I’m so pleased with my Hidden Crown extensions.

Nice, high quality hair. Colour the company matched me with was way off. Make sure to be careful before removing any plastic!!! I had removed plastic and was unable to return them. Had to pay for professional dye job to get them matched. Adjusting wire was quite difficult, bead became stuck and it broke on the first try. They do give you two sets to re wire which is good because it is easy to fit them poorly. I don’t think I fitted them right (even after watching countless videos on how to fit them). I find them very painful, they dig into my scalp and give me a headache can only wear them for two hours. I hear this can be because I didn’t fit them right so fingers crossed... will have to re wire them again. Bought for my wedding ($450 CA) and wasn’t able to stand the pain so I couldn’t wear them. The hidden crown type is a lotttt of hair I would go for the day dream if I had a second chance. Hopefully I can get a better fit so they are comfortable otherwise would NOT recommend. Also I’m suspicious of all the raving reviews from girls on YouTube, this is the first site I’ve seen similar experiences to mine.

I ordered a a topper from a Gorgeous Strandz first and had to get the BBB involved because they never sent me my order. So, I was leery. I ordered the rich chocolate #3 topper on October 8th and it was on my doorstep on October 11th. The topper is beautiful and very natural looking (after you wet and blow dry) I will order again. Better than expected.

Bonnie is very unhelpful when there is a problem. I thought she was just a return specialist when I wrote in for an exchange. She is not accommodating whatsoever and I can’t believe she’s the owner giving me attitude when I spent over $400 on extensions and there is a problem with her product.

ONLY GIVING 1 star because I can't leave a review without selecting a star. Wish I could give negative 1000 stars. PRODUCT NEVER RECEIVED! Post office DOES NOT have. Company unresponsive (update - JASMINE, of customer service, HAD THE NERVE TO ASSERT THAT IT'S NOT ON THEM IF THE PACKAGE NEVER MAKES IT TO THE CUSTOMER!!!!! ONCE IT LEAVES ON THEIR END, THEY THINK THEY AREN'T LEGALLY LIABLE FOR DELIVERY ACCORDING TO CONTRACT...can't wait to toss this over to an attorney friend), no refund issued!! Will pursue legal action if I'm not refunded in 48 hrs. Order #115966. Payment amount: $362.99! I've already wasted enough time on this; I don't have time to write a 4,000 character description of all of this. Bottom line: PRODUCT NOT RECEIVED, and at this point it is too late and I have to purchase elsewhere. I CAN'T, however, because Hidden Crown WILL NOT GET BACK TO ME/ISSUE MY REFUND!! I am irate. In 30 years I've never not received a package, nor dealt with a company who wouldn't care to immediately address it. Tracking info said that the package was taken to the post office. Upon going to the post office (AND VIDEO'ING IT!), they pulled up the same tracking info BUT HAD NO PACKAGE TO GIVE ME. The clerk filled out a form, but refused to give me a copy, claiming that he could not do so without supervisor authorization. Luckily, I casually video'd at least a BIT of the encounter, simply so that Hidden Crown could see that I clearly DID NOT receive the package (which is also evident by the fact that there is NO DELIVERY SIGNATURE/PICKUP CONFIRMATION...because there was NOTHING THERE FOR ME TO PICK UP.) Instead of being apologetic and immediately refunding my money so that I could at least TRY TO purchase elsewhere in time for a very special occasion...they are totally blowing me off. Fuming, I decided to search online to see if, by chance, any others had complained of anything even remotely similar. I expected not to find anything because I couldn't imagine a company would allow this to be any kind of repeat issue, but I was mistaken. NUMEROUS others have complained of delivery issues! Granted, I cannot know where the truth lies in those situations. However, seeing how MY SITUATION is being handled (or rather, NOT)...I find it hard to believe that the other complaints written on trustpilot.com, and another website or two...were inaccurate. I WILL NOT BE SOMEONE WRITING ONLINE, MONTHS FROM NOW, THAT I STILL HAVEN'T RECEIVED MY REFUND. I would NEVER deal with this company again and wouldn't even WANT the product now - even if it were delivered on my doorstep in the next 5 mins with 2 dozen roses. Totally uninterested (and upon reading those reviews in greater depth, while waiting for a response from Hidden Crown...my hesitations about the product itself were confirmed. That's neither here nor there, though.) I AM NOT MADE OF MONEY AND NEED THIS NEARLY $400 refund (NOT including gas, and TIME TIME TIME invested in trying to get this resolved) IMMEDIATELY! Get it together, Hidden Crown. I purchased your clip-ins months ago, for over $400...clearly you couldn't care less about repeat business and you'll never again get mine. I will spread word of this as much as humanly possible, too. Count on that. SUCH a bummer because I REALLY liked the product I purchased from you previously (which was a HUGE investment for me...my budget doesn't allow for things like this, but I saved and saved and planned and made it work.) So much for that this time around. ISSUE MY REFUND!! Please don't force an even greater headache on me, by forcing me to toss this over to an attorney (I don't care if $400 isn't much to YOU...it is a LOT to me, and I WILL FIGHT YOU ON THIS SO THAT YOU ARE FORCED TO STOP TREATING YOUR CUSTOMERS SO POORLY...and in this case, stealing!) You'll pay the attorney fees, too. Just refund my money. You already ruined my ability to have this for the occasion I've been saving and planning for, for so long. Thanks a lot.

Though there were no problems with my purchase and it was shipped quickly, I am rather disappointed with this topper. I did some shopping around before deciding to spend $450 + $12.99 shipping. Out of the box, the hair felt soft and alright but, when I saw the cap...my god the horror!! It looks faker than a $15 wig and sits funny on your head, bulky and uneven. It simply does not respond to the dampening, setting and drying into place instructions. Now I know why there are no photos of the cap construction up close. There is no way I could get away with wearing this thing without a headband or pinning back some of my own bangs to cover that fake looking scalp/root part and keep down the bulk. Why don't they use a silk top? Or a more realistic type of lace material? I had purchased a $63 topper from China at eBay prior to this one and it had a very realistic looking scalp/part but only a few strands of hair attached to it, that's when I decided to invest in a good quality one. Unfortunately, Hidden Crown is NOT it. It is just hype, this piece is definitely not worth $450.00. I am now suspicious of all these women raving about their topper on you tube. Either they're somehow affiliated with the company or really, they just don't know what a good top piece should look like. I did not even try to return it, just read their return policy and basically what they are saying is: once you open this box you are screwed. You cannot remove it from packaging, let alone try it on. If you do, you are stuck with it. No returns based on your satisfaction with their product. Buyer beware!

It KILLS my head. I actually had an indent. My head throbbed. It wasn’t even on that tight considering it was still shifting. I couldn’t put my hair up. I can’t believe I spent this much money and can’t return. Highly disappointed. I don’t recommend.

I love my hair pieces! I have both the halo extensions as well as the Crown Topper. I have found that just using the crown topper looks amazing and literally goes on in seconds to being able to walk out the door.
The company is super easy to work with and they get right back to you if you have a question or need to return or exchange anything. I would recommend asking them about finding the perfect color for you before you purchase.

I wrote a review 2/21/18 about my 14 inch Daydream from Hidden Crown, so this is an update.
I had only worn them one time for a few hours when I wrote original review, and I’ve had them for about 5 months now so I have a more accurate review to provide.
First I want to say, yes I do still think it does look amazing when you put them on. They do blend well with your own hair. Another positive is that the Daydream product has a LOT of hair, even though this is actually their more lightweight product.
The quality of most of the hair seems nice, but there were some weird things I noticed only after wearing them.
***Issue #1- dark hairs and weird balls of wax?? Although I ordered the #613 which is pretty much bleach blonde hair, there are random, single DARK black hairs sewn in here and there. I also noticed that NUMEROUs hairs have a dark brown or black “ball” at the very bottom of each strand. It looks like a small ball of dark, solid wax. Kind of looks like someone “cauterized” it, the way you would with a lighter and a stray thread on your shirt to keep it from running/tearing further. There’s a ton of them, and I did notice and take photos right away, but I had already taken the hair out of the package and worn them once by then, and I’m aware of their return policy. I also thought, maybe those little balls will come off the first time I wash them so I’ll just deal with it until then. But they didn’t come off. Even if they did, what the heck is that? Why would they come like that in the first place? You pay $200+ for human remy hair, and I know human hair doesn’t naturally have dark balls of wax hanging at the bottom of each strand of light blonde hair, so I was very disappointed about that.
***Issue #2 - headaches and scalp indent
Can only a wear for a few hours, because headaches are almost always an issue. I think this is due to the scalp indent the wire causes. I know there’s a bunch of videos on fit and how to avoid this, and not put too much hair over the wire, etc.... and Ive watched them countless times and followed advice. But it doesn’t matter how many times I adjust the fit/wire, and put barely ANY hair over it, I still have the indent issue. ••••••The wire discomfort issue is not Hidden Crown’s fault, it would be an issue for ANY brand of halo extension••••••
***Issue #3 shedding
At first, I experienced only a little shedding. Everything seemed fine. But after washing it, it sheds like CRAZY. I am very careful with it, use salon brand products, use a wide tooth comb, etc, so I’m not sure what the problem is. Maybe there’s sections of hair that are just not sewn into the lace well enough?
I don’t know if this is normal for halo extensions but it seems like the heavy shedding started way too soon and way too easily in spite of gentle washing and handling. The saving grace for hidden crown is that the hair is thick to begin with, so in spite of the shedding- it’s still been wearable so far.

In summary, I will say that I still very much like the look and the confidence these give me. I don’t regret buying them. I do regret not giving feedback sooner on the quality issues. I wish I could wear them for longer without having discomfort, but again I think that part has nothing to do with the brand. Would I buy Hidden Crown again? Maybe, because I really love the look, the thick hair, the nice packaging, the videos they provide to try to help. But I’d probably research other brands, and if I did order HC again I would be sure to closely inspect the tips of the hairs before removing from packaging in order to look for those weird dark balls and dark hairs mixed in. And I’d ask for an exchange if I got another set like that.
