Well packaged

Very efficient when ordering but long delivery time and royal mail required £2 as postage was underpaid.

It arrived on time. We already had one which we were happy with and decided that we need two. It actually takes us longer than described to obtain the compost, but my husband thinks this is because we have never been able to totally empty it. Now we have two this should not be a problem, fingers crossed.

Bought the largest model. Solidly made but no door in the base to facilitate emptying it. Maybe that could be designed in a later model. Certainly running

They do the basic things well.

simple to set up and start. Been eating the garden waste steadily over the last 3 weeks, so it's still early days. No liquid fertiliser yet.

So far so good but too early to tell about results yet. The purchasing process was simple and delivery was very prompt with lots of helpful updates on progress of shipping.

The instructions were a little confusing so I googled how others had set theirs up.

I additionally bought some accelerated compost breakdown powder from an independent supplier.

Garden waste is slowly breaking down and I’ve also been adding veg food waste.

I will update my review once I get my first batch of compost.

Products came quickly

Delivered on time and well packaged and as described.

The HotBin was received quickly, though confusingly in two packages - the plinth first and the actual HotBin the next day.
We have followed the guidance and are pleased with the result so far. After just over 2 weeks the temperature has steadily climbed to over 40’C.
It does need regular ‘feeding’ but with a busy garden and household we feel sure it will start to produce useable compost fairly quickly.

Excellent product - bought two Hotbin Mega 700L units and within 10 days they were happily running at 50 degrees on a diet of mostly chopped brambles

Needed a replacement gauze and it arrived very quickly!

Bin arrived as stated on the order. Set up in no time, working brilliantly, doing exactly as described. Looking forward now to using the compost for winter vegetables. Think maybe we should have gone for the bigger size - but might just get a second 100 litre bin next spring.

Received the 200 litre Hotbin in mid April, delivered quickly and in good order.

After three months the bin was almost full and I removed the bottom foot of compost. The very bottom layer was slightly damp and had lots of twigs in it from the initial set-up, as per instructions. The next layer to the top of the open door was nicely friable. Overall a great result. I used this first batch as top dressing. The layer above seems very dry and crumbly.

I got into a routine of adding a new layer once the temperature had started to fall, mixing this new layer with some of the layer below to spread the heat. Works well for me. When half full the bin did go cold when I was away for a few days, but the hot water bottle did the trick very quickly.
