According to the tracking information, delivery was first attempted 2 days earlier, but it was listed as 'address inaccessible.'

Sorry it took longer than you hoped, but we're glad that you've received it and hope you're happy with your purchase.

Sold as new but previously owned, no manufacturers warranty.

Below is the statement from Dell regarding the New laptop purchased from NDC that subsequently had its warranty refused.

"NDC is currently an Authorised Solution Provider (Reseller) Partner in our Dell Technologies Partner Program. This status is irrelevant to the current issue, however, since the laptop tag in question was not purchased by NDC / ServiceX from Dell, or from an authorized Dell Distributor or Reseller. According to our records, this tag was ordered by a UK commercial end customer and was not intended for resale, but has somehow found its’ way to NDC / ServiceX and then yourself. Dell obviously has no visibility of this intermediate transaction history and cannot therefore explain how a Dell Partner could have acquired this tag for resale. Only NDC/ServiceX could answer this of course.
Unfortunately, due to the irregularity with the sale transaction for this tag, it will be permanently blocked with the only option to update this being for the original purchaser to make good on its’ original purchase transaction obligations to Dell.
The current tag status also precludes the purchase of a Dell service upgrade on this specific tag."

Purchased what should have been a new laptop with 3 years manufacturers warranty. Registered it to my Dell account with Dell to find the warranty had already started a month earlier than when purchased. Dell then cancelled any warranty. Now Dell won't touch it now for the reasons stated above.

In response to NDC comments:

Para 1. Yes the Service TAG was accepted to my account initially but later withdrawn when Dell obviously became aware of the anomaly. Namely that the machine should not have been offered for resale.

The fact NDC is registered under the Dell Partner Direct program is irrelevant according to the Dell statement.

The fact that NDC claim its a mystery why the warranty was withdrawn. The machine was purchased in good faith and if there is an issue it is incumbent on you to sort it out. NDC were made aware of Dells comments and have ignored them. The fact NDC have done nothing to rectify the situation speaks volumes and suggests Dells statement on the origin of the device is true.

Para 2. Although NDC have offered a 3-year return-to-base warranty a return-to-base warranty it does not come close to Dell ProSupport warranty that includes: 24x7 priority access to in-region ProSupport engineers, Next business day onsite repairs, Proactive monitoring, including predictive hardware alerts, +PLUS Self-healing automated remediation scripts, Service Account Manager, Accidental damage coverage & Keep Your Hard Drive Service.

It was sold as having 3 Year Dell ProSupport the offer of a return to base warranty does not come close to the advertised warranty. Additionally the devices warranty had already started, presumably by its Orginal owners.

When I requested a full refund claiming it was miss sold the reply I received was: "Furthermore as you have used the laptop now for a year or so, we are entitled charge for the cost of fair use should we offer a refund, which will take in to account the current market value of the laptop and the condition it is returned in". "Unfortunately we are unable to offer you a full refund that you have requested in your letter". I requested a estimate but never received a reply. Besides why should I loose financially if you should have never offered the device for sale in the first place, it was previously owned and does not have a manufactures warranty.

Para 3. NDC have never clarified the origin of the device when presented with the details of Dells statement.

NDC have never directly offered to take the laptop back and suggested if you did it would be at a discounted value at your discretion, see above.

The fact I have not required a repair is irrelevant and I am still denied Dell 24x7 support services.

If Dells comments are incorrect then you should sort it out as the seller with Dell. If they are true then the laptop should never have been offered for sale. It was also miss sold as it was previously owned and does not have a manufactures warranty.

I have provided NDC with all the information so sort it out and get my warranty reinstated.

Hi Nick,

We’re sorry you feel this way about our service. When you began corresponding with us a year ago you said that Dell initially accepted your warranty registration without issue. This suggests that everything was fine from their side. It’s a mystery to us why that would subsequently change a few months later. The laptop WAS new when it was sold to you, and we’ve been dealing with Dell for many years, registered under the Dell PartnerDirect program, so there should have been no problems.

As previously stated, we will happily honour a 3-year return-to-base warranty, even if Dell won’t. I appreciate that’s not exactly the same as the Dell Pro Support warranty you were hoping for, which is why we also offered for you to return the laptop to us, if that’s what you preferred to do.

So we’re not being evasive – quite the opposite! We said we’d accept the laptop back if you weren’t happy with the level of support we’re able to offer, but you haven’t needed a repair or returned the laptop, and the last email we received was eight months ago, back in January.

I hope that clarifies things from our perspective.

I’m sorry you feel this way. We apologised for the inconvenience as soon as it became clear that we could not ship to you and we refunded you immediately. It appeared, at the time, that there was a problem with your address which meant that our shipping system was unable to generate a label. In such circumstances, we have found that cancelling and re-ordering with the correct address is the best way to proceed. You didn’t reply to our email, so we were unaware that you weren’t happy with that response.

Over the past few days it has become apparent that we have been experiencing issues with sending parcels to your country, not just to your address, which is down to the courier service and not us as individuals. This problem was not obvious at the time you placed your order, and it only became known as subsequent customers placed orders for shipping to Israel. We have now developed a workaround so you are free to place a new order if you wish. It should proceed without issue.

If you do, I hope that you’ll come back and update your review based on your new experience.

This is a Serious Company!

When I saw the item I wanted was the last one, I thought to myself: maximum I will get a refund. Not the case, the part existed and was on the site because it was available, but as soon as I checked out, it was then marked as "Unavailable". It took three days to reach me in Israel - everything worked flawlessly so I became a client from my first purchase. It is such a pleasure to buy from a company like this! Thank you, you are the best! And yes, you have good prices.

Frustrating Experience

I purchased a refurbished laptop from NDC on 31 May 2023, expecting reliability and upgradability, but my experience has been nothing but frustrating. The unexpected taxes due to Brexit were an annoyance, but the real issue arose when I attempted to upgrade the RAM and SSD. Two screws were impossible to remove, seemingly waxed or glued. NDC's justification that most users do not open their laptops is unacceptable and severely restricts those who wish to upgrade. Their dismissive response suggested I should have been aware of local VAT rates and that any hardware changes would void the warranty. Additionally, they ignored my recent message seeking assistance. This company's lack of transparency, poor refurbishment practices, and inadequate customer service make them one to avoid for anyone looking for a laptop with future-proofing or customization options.

Hi Pedro,

You've covered mostly the same points as your review from 12 months ago, so I'll reiterate my response as concisely as possible.

Import duties: it IS your responsibility to check your local tax rates and practices when importing. We ship worldwide and cannot possibly inform every customer about their local laws. As already stated, you could have prepaid the fees, but you chose not to. As you have this option automatically presented to you at checkout, I don't think you can claim this is a lack of transparency.

You initially said that a screw was stripped. I checked the other stock and found no evidence of that. Regardless, my reply to your earlier review gave a tip on how to resolve this. Now you are saying that screws are waxed or glued. As you haven't provided any images, and I haven't seen any other examples of this, I'm unsure what to suggest to help you.

As mentioned, it's up to you if you want to upgrade your laptop but such an action would have invalidated the warranty as we cannot guarantee the quality of work conducted by outside technicians. As you are now outside warranty, you can proceed how you see fit.

And finally, we're not ignoring you - we just haven't received any recent message from you! When did you send it? The only one we have is the one dated 05/06/2023 and nothing since then. I've also checked the contact forms for the past 2 months and nothing matches your order.

Excellent service and product.

I ordered a replacement screen for my laptop and it arrived the following day, packaged securely. The screen looks as good as new to me and having just fitted it, I see that it is working perfectly. I am very pleased with the service and the product and would recommend NDC.

I am a customer for the last 15 years


I am a customer for the last 15 years and have always been very satisfied with my purchases . My latest purchase is a Alienware m17 nebula red laptop it has a 400-nits/100% sRGB which look fantastic. The NDC website gives very accurate descriptions of the products. Also there is an option to pay the vat in advance if outside the UK as I am I Ireland, this ensures that it is not held up in customs and excise .
