Not Impressed

Not particularly impressed. Ordered a desk on a Friday and had to chase them up for a confirmation email of order and payment. Received on the Monday with a note to say the item was out of stock until the Thursday. Lo and behold, no correspondence on the Thursday or Friday. On the Monday was told it was just on a backlog list awaiting delivery slot 5-7 days. Finally got a call 2 weeks later than order date for a delivery on the Wednesday. Delivery by Panther was excellent. Unfortunately the table has already taken 2 days to assemble due to bad manufacturing with holes not lining up. Not impressed!

I'm very sorry I cannot seem to find this order on our system.

If this was ordered late on the Friday it wouldn't have been processed until the Monday and the back log of 5-7 days would always be working days rather than total as we are closed at weekends.

I am very sorry for any confusion caused. We will ensure that this is made clearer for future customers and appreciate this being brought to our attention.

Customer service is horrible

Customer service is horrible. Had to chase my desk with numerous calls and emails, very inefficient communication.
Received the item at last with 2 parts of fixings missing from the package.
This is such a shame because the quality of office desks is really good - this is our second desk with them and the first order a year ago went much smoother.

I can see from the notes that there were a few communications issues with booking in your delivery with the courier so that it was delayed by 4 days. After the reports of the screws missing we got these dispatched immediately for you.

Avoid bad customer service terrible damaged wardrobe and now waiting over 10 days for collection of the wardrobe until I get my refund stay well clear

I can see that the damage was reported on 20th July and that a collection was organised for the 21st July. Unfortunately they had to cancel and the collection was rescheduled for 26th after the weekend. Couriers were working over time at this point during covid and were in great demand. I apologise for the inconvenience and understand that the delay was very frustrating.

We issued a credit to you promptly as you did not want a replacement.

Waited a month for the delivery of a desk. After 3 failed promises eventually gave in and requested a refund. No contact was initiated at any stage until I emailed to ask for an update on where item was. Very poor service.

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. Unfortunately many items were continuously out of stock and with manufacturing temporarily suspended in factories. There was a very large demand for furniture with little stock and long delivery expectancy.
We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience during this period.

This is an illegal practice and needs to be stopped

Thank you for your feedback.
The re-stocking fee is charged by the manufacturers when an item is no longer required. If an item is defective then no re-stocking fee is charged.

As far as I can see, because the re-stocking fees are within terms and conditions of sale then this practice is not illegal. I do understand your frustration and we also work with our suppliers to waive these where we can.

A month later and still no product

I ordered an office chair at the end of May and am yet to receive the product despite delivery being 'within 5 working days'.

Have sent emails chasing but have had no response to my latest enquiries and am unsure if/when I will receive the product.

I am very sorry that your shipment was delayed. This was due to many factors which included lockdown, which meant that infrastructure and factories were not operating fully and communication was difficult.
I can see that the chair was delivered early July, which was around 5 weeks late - which under normal circumstances this would never have happened.
Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience caused.

Not the best start... Ended up well in the end.

Not the best start, ordered my new desk in early June, was advised that it's out of stock (very popular style apparently), and would be hopefully available in just over a week. Called them again on Friday gone to check (delivery potentially would've been early this week (w/c 15th June), now advised of a 'delay' in the pipeline and now looking at order arriving 'hopefully' by end of this month....

I know the lockdown has caused issues, but other online suppliers & couriers have managed to delivery items to me quite easily.

I will be keeping a strict eye on this, as payment left my bank a while ago.

19th July 2020 - Update
Been really busy only just round to this update, and please to say after a lot of issues with missing pieces and delays with couriers (likely Covid related), I have a new desk up and running, and have to say, I'm really pleased with it.
I did need to drill in places where you shouldn't need to, no holes for the support metal bracket for example but once I verified this with the company it was fine.
The company's Customer Care for me I have to say was brilliant, keeping in contact with me regularly with both deliveries and the build issues (hence the 4 stars - not quite good enough for 5).

Useless company

Useless company.

Ordered on Sunday and on Monday the order was confirmed and the amount was deducted from my bank account. In a separate email I was told my order was ready to despatch.

Then on Tuesday sent the following email;

“Thank you for your order. Unfortuantely, we are currently out of stock of the Tyler chair with further stock due 07/07.
My apologies for this inconvenience but please advise if you would like to amend the order at any point.“

I think this is probably the LEAST helpful customer service. I then followed up with a call. They could not offer me an alternative chair (and was unwilling to swap the amount for a higher priced chair) and barely even apologised. A refund was processed after I pushed for it.

Evidently have an issue with their stock control. Beware.
