I want to update my review as i left a negative review for office furniture direct recently, as i'd sent them an email as my safe wouldn't work, but got no response. This has since changed as emails can get missed. I ordered a personal safe which got jammed and wouldn't close. A lovely lady, claire, has got in touch with me since, once she realised there was a problem with my product, and she couldn't have been more helpful. Straight away she offered me a replacement or a refund. She's now processed a full refund for me. Because of the great customer service and help i received, i wouldn't hesitate to order from office furniture direct again.

Poor Website: I ordered 5x Castore wheels for my…
I ordered 5x Castore wheels for my current office chair with Office Furniture Direct.
The website appeared straight forward and it explained that some postcodes may have to pay for delivery.
So I put the items in my basket including the county and it worked out to be free postage. So I ordered and expected them to be delivered over the next few days.
The very next day I received an email saying that I need to pay £5 plus vat for the delivery. I explained to the customer service that the item is being delivered free as per my transaction.
The lady apologised and explained that those wheels are only free if I order a chair. I went back online and explained that no where on the web page does it suggest this and in fact as a test I placed the same item in the basket and it still came with free delivery.
So the customer service explanation was false. In fact the webpage has now been changed and it does now charge and you can buy them without buying a chair.
Effectively as I did not pay the unexpected delivery charge they cancelled my order. Poor show office Furniture Direct. Perhaps you should of honoured the delivery and not state falsehoods to your customers
I disagree with your reply as my order was taken by your company and processed with delivery the next day.
At no time did it say your order is cancelled!!
Your customer service informed me that I could only order this item with a chair. This is not the case.
Your customer service also asked if I would like to pay a delivery charge of £5 plus vat if I wanted to continue.
As it was your website at fault and not me perhaps you could have honoured this item for free delivery as that was the contact which I entered with your company.
Very disappointed with a poor reply and service.

This our 2nd chair one black one brown they are wonderful I had a problem with the first one my fault although the plan not great. Contacted OFDirect sent out a replacement no cost or anything that’s what I call customer service excellence

A friend recommended this firm to me and I have seen the products they supply and its class gear that will last for ever so well worth paying that bit extra for true quality.

I ordered a office chair
I ordered a office chair, which had been damaged during delivery. I informed Office Furniture Direct and spoke to Claire who immediately organised a replacement to be delivered the next day, which it was. Very polite staff and would recommend this firm.
Will definitely use them again.

WORST DELIVERY EVER but with Happy Ending
WORST DELIVERY EVER:
PAID IN JUNE, GOODS to be delivered 22 October but NEVER ARRIVED, ONLY OFFERED A REFUND!
I placed an order (119618) for two Willowbrooke Pidgeon Holes and paid (933.40) on 16 June 2025. The delivery was to be in September/October. Very good service by OFD sales at the stage of getting paid (Jordan).
Having heard nothing I emailed OFD on 13 October and asked for delivery on 22 or 23 October. On 16/10 Jordan confirmed the delivery for 22/10 between 9am and 11am. To facilitate the delivery for the OFD driver we agreed that my son would wait outside the apartment building on the street next to a restaurant. However, NO delivery took place with no information from OFD! Only after our calls Jordan advised (in the afternoon) that driver called sick and the delivery was postponed till the next day. No time window was given. As my son could not take another full day off work I asked for the goods to be left at the restaurant at the same address, 2m from where the truck would stop.
Called OFD six times but NO DELIVERY happened on 23/10, and not even a delivery attempt. Neither on 24/10.
We wanted to pickup the goods ourselves or by a courier service (as we were going on holidays on 27/10) but he stopped returning our calls, so we could not. I managed later to talk to Customer Service (Reana) but the only solution she could offer was to give me a refund...
I would expect that a company of good reputation after no delivery attempts for five days (!) would propose a proper delivery when we return. But this did not happen.
I never had such a problem with delivery to this address, even of much more bulky goods. And they were delivered to the apartment, not just dropped on the street.
I just want my goods delivered by Office Furniture Direct (that kept my money for four months, now five) in a way reliable companies arrange.
UPDATE: HAPPY ENDING to the Delivery Saga
I am pleased to write that last week (1 December) the delivery from Office Furniture Direct took place!!! At a date suitable to us. And yes, the driver called my son that he would be coming soon (so my son waited for the driver on the street). So the company does exist and does deliver.

I tried to explain I had been to Screwfix to buy what I needed and again told we don't give compensation. I never asked for compensation but considering I wasn't asked my name or what I bought awful service never buying from these again

I ordered a Coda multi-purpose chair with arms. It arrived with just a plastic cover held in place by the 4 legs of the chair which had been pushed through the plastic. When I removed the cover, there were 2 large footprints very visible on the black fabric seat. The chair at £131 was not inexpensive, and the quality of the plastic trim around the upholstered seat certainly did not match the price. It was completely shoddy. Small sharp pieces of plastic jut out where they may catch people's legs (or clothes) when they sit down. There was also dirty adhesive on a large area of one of the legs. I attach photographs of both the footprints and the shoddy trim. In the company details it states "Office Furniture Direct supplies high quality office furniture." I should be pleased to hear from OFD when they can collect this unsatisfactory chair and replace it with an undamaged chair.

Packaging issue
Package arrived in a terrible state. Wanted to return it but they wouldnt take it back because the original packaging was damaged.

Computer says no - response to faulty chairs despite obvious weld failure.
We purchased 8 chairs for our meeting room from this company. Two of them had broken welds, and six of the plastic backs popped off and wouldn't stay in place. The welds broke quite early in the life of the chairs. Our team is made up of engineers, so we just put a bolt through the metalwork. It was only after the backs all popped that I decided to ask for warranty claim. They have refused warranty on the two broken chairs because we have "modified" them.
The welds have missed on of the bits of metal and are have not joined 2 parts of the chair together! Stupid computer says no response.
I have pointed this out twice by email!
