If I could leave zero stars it would be to many. This organisation is a disgrace to the legal profession
They are USELESS.
Can't even reply to questions without multiple attempts.
Absolutely stay away

Never respond to emails.

I'm very happy with the support and advice given to me by Amelia at Painters Solicitors. She was kind and considerate, and always dealt with matters in a professional and sympathetic manner. The costs for the work undertaken were very fair and reasonable. I will definitely recommend Amelia, and Painters Solicitors in the future, should the need arise.

I am currently in the process of moving house in what should have been a straightforward short chain, our buyers are first-time purchasers and the house we are buying is empty. Unfortunately, the sellers chose to use Painters Law to handle their sale, and the experience has been nothing short of a nightmare.

My solicitors have been waiting for responses to around 20 outstanding enquiries that were sent to Painters Law on 15th July. It’s now October, and we are still waiting. Despite repeated chasing from my solicitors, the estate agents, and even direct attempts to get updates, there has been no progress, no explanations, and no apologies. The level of unresponsiveness is completely unacceptable.

After weeks of silence, we were told the matter had been “escalated” to the firm’s directors, but even that has made no difference. Most recently, we received an out of office email from the person supposedly handling the file, with no alternative contact given and no indication that anyone else was covering the case. This exact same issue happened in September, leaving everyone involved in the chain completely in the dark. It’s astonishing that a firm operating in property law can show such disregard for communication, professionalism, and basic client care.

The personal impact of this has been huge. I’ve spent weeks of sleepless nights worrying that we’re going to lose the house we’ve fallen in love with, the house we hoped would be our home for years to come. I’ve been trying to plan a wedding, manage a once in a lifetime trip abroad to visit relatives I rarely see (something I’ve saved years for), and instead of feeling excited, I’ve been constantly anxious and on edge because of Painters Law’s incompetence and indifference. The stress has been enormous and completely avoidable if this firm had simply done their job.

Given the extent of their delays and lack of communication, I am now seriously considering reporting this matter to the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA), as I believe the service we’ve experienced falls far below acceptable professional standards.

I would strongly urge anyone considering using Painters Law to think again. Based on my experience, this firm has demonstrated a total lack of care, urgency, and accountability. Their behaviour has caused significant emotional strain, financial uncertainty, and weeks of unnecessary delay.

If you value communication, professionalism, and efficiency, do not use Painters Law.

Question was dealt with promptly and professionally and the communication was excellent .

I would strongly advise against using these solicitors. This was my first experience with conveyancing, as I was purchasing a small piece of land, and I was recommended Painters Law. The service was extremely poor.

Communication was slow and unreliable, with responses to emails often taking two or three days. When replies did arrive, the tone was dismissive and carried an air of superiority, which I found both unprofessional and unnecessary. At no point did I feel that my matter was given proper attention or urgency.

Ultimately, I withdrew my instructions and chose not to proceed with the purchase. The firm showed no concern whatsoever that they had lost a client, which speaks volumes about their attitude towards customer service.

I will not be using Painters Law again and cannot recommend them to anyone.

My experience with my solicitor was great always kept me updated and always replied when emailed. I really recommend these solicitors very approachable and explained everything very friendly too

My Conveyancing solicitor was extremely efficient and always answered emails immediately keeping me up to date at all times. Kam was very easy to talk to and she explained things in easy to understand language. I would definately recommend her to anyway buying and selling property.

Painters Law was amazing in helping us buy our house. Chanal dealt with our case and I honestly could not fault her. I would recommend them and will definitely be using Painters Law again.

Painters solicitors were involved at the bottom of a short chain during my house purchase. They took 6 months to complete on a property that took me under 3 months to purchase.
When criticised they double down in support of their solicitor.
We waited weeks on end for action and only ever got any responses on a Friday. Obviously meaning the process takes 5 times longer.
Petty enquiries towards the end and poor communication further delayed the process.
Really bad firm full of their own self importance.

Recently used Painters Solicitors to rewrite my will and request a home visit as recovering from injuries from an accident. They were very prompt and efficient and I feel very confident dealing with them. Yvonne was very pleasant and understanding she went through details thoroughly and made sure I was aware of all options. I Will be happy to use this firm for future work

I used painters solicitors, the service I received was absolutely outstanding, could not fault them on anything! I dealt with Jodie Billings & she was so kind & went above and beyond to make sure I felt safe & I understood everything that was happening.. would definitely use them again if needs be! Wouldn't go anywhere else!
