Porter Dodson communicated extremely well throughout the sale of our property. They were efficient, diligent and did not have to be 'chased up' - We were very happy with their service.

My wife and I used Porter and Dodson for conveyancing on the recommendation of our estate agent, Rolfe East in Sherborne, and we are vey glad that we did.
Reena and her team kept us up to date and explained in detail the process of selling our property. As the property was in a private development run by a management company, the process was less that straighforward. Reena had to deal with both the solicitor of our purchaser and also the solicitor of the management company. She did so with skill and patience when the other two solicitors at were not, at times, always up to speed. We have also employed Porter and Dodson to act as conveyancers for the purchase of our new build, which is due for completion in just under two months time. I expect this transaction will go equally as smoothly.

I needed to renew my Will following bereavement. I knew what I wanted but needed advice on any implications which might arise. Eleanor was kindness itself, came to the house and took instructions. I was confident that what I needed to have done when the time comes has been put in place. I couldn't have wished for a better experience.

My partner and I chose to use Porter Dodson to prepare our Wills as I had previously used them to help me with a family matter.
My partner and I attended our meeting together at the Taunton Office. We were not kept waiting and we were shown to a private, cool office and offered a beverage.
We were treated with the utmost courtesy. All relevant aspects of the wills were fully explained to us and tailored to meet each of our individual needs.
Within days we received draft copies to discuss with the Solicitor, before returning to sign the official documents. It was explained that these original documents were to be held in the vaults of the said premises until required if we so wished. We agreed to this. Jodie, our solicitor made us feel welcome on both visits and despite it being a very serious and though provoking matter she made us feel comfortable and relaxed, knowing that our wills meet our current needs, but can also be updated at any time in the future. We would fully recommend Porter Dodson.

We liked using my mother's own solicitors when she passed away to help us through the probate process.

My only critique would be communication...they were awful about providing any form of process timeline or current status.

It took over 18months for something that should be fairly straightforward, but i have no idea if that was the government's ridiculous requirement or inefficiency by the solicitor because we were never told what was going on unless we specifically asked for it.

Other than better communication, which is something easily remedied, I have no complaints.
