Very friendly and helpful staff. Battery problem, good advice given and ordered in a replacement for same day. Kept me up to date with timings, changed quickly and back on the road… topped up my coolant too! Very pleased with Protyre…. My go to for MOT, service etc.

I was surprised and disappointed at how much the site and service has gone downhill. Not only dud it take almost 2.5 hours to fit two new tyre's the fitter asked for help twice and was told in a sharp manner to go and learn! Meanwhile I continue to wait. I have to get my car system corrected because they couldn't reset it and go somewhere else for the tracking they also couldn't do!

I booked a specific time, was there on time as specified when I did the online order, but had to wait a further 1.5 hours before the tyres were fitted. Staff were chatting amongst themselves in the workshop whilst customers where waiting. Quality of work was good, need to improve customer service.

Professional, excellent and swift service

Needed two front tyres fitted quickly and without booking, and they were able to do it straight away. Very pleased with the fitting.

We had quite a surprising experience with this garage. My wife took our car in for an MOT, and it failed due to reported issues with the rear suspension and because the dipped headlights were said to be aimed too high. The garage then quoted nearly £300 to fix everything, including £40 just for headlight adjustment.

I asked my wife to bring the car home so I could check it myself. Our car has xenon headlights with automatic levelling, which already made me doubtful. At home I inspected the rear suspension and confirmed that the rear stabilisers needed replacing – I bought the parts and replaced them myself for just £44 (both sides).

I then checked the dipped headlights against a wall with a tape measure and they looked absolutely fine. To be certain, I took the car to Kwik-fit in Bridgwater and had them tested on their beam equipment – both headlights were aligned perfectly.

When we went back for the MOT re-test, things became confusing. While handing over the keys, a member of staff asked again if we had adjusted the headlights, to which I replied yes. Later, when collecting the car, I asked why they originally wanted £40 for adjustment if the lights were already correct.

The explanation given was that the headlights had been adjusted on the day of the MOT, which is why they were correct at the re-test. However, this didn’t really add up, because the MOT sheet listed the headlights as a major fault, and we had also been quoted £40 for the adjustment.

In my view, this situation suggested that we were being offered work that wasn’t actually needed, and I didn’t receive a clear explanation for the contradictions.

Based on this experience, I won’t be returning to this garage.

Fast, effective, friendly, really fair prices

After being let down by a nearby national motor spares retailer, I called into Protyre WsM for a replacement 12v battery for my wife's Yaris hybrid.
I'm glad I did. Not only did Protyre fit it for me, something the other retailer weren't able to do, but it was cheaper. I will definitely come here first in future.

Amazing service, popped in with a broken tyre valve on my trailer.

Great atmosphere, staff were very friendly and managed to help with any queries i had. Marshall was really great and took the time to explain what was wrong with my car and what needed to be done rectify the problems. I will defiantly be using protyre weston again.

Much larger and cleaner waiting area, although vending machine needs some attention, plus a bin into which used cups would be useful. When I was there there was just a bin lid on the floor.
