I am so disappointed with the service i have received. My windows were installed 5 years ago. One upstairs window has let in water and came down through a cavity wall and damaged the wall underneath. Senator did come back a year and half ago and admitted the problem and redecorated but the damp is still coming in and needs redecorating again. I live near the sea and all of the locks have rusted . Most windows cant be opened. Again Senator admitted it was faulty parts used . They have given me constant promises that all the locks will be replaced but no one ever turns up. I am now waiting 8 months for these windows to be rectified. I would never recommend this company .

Avoid at all costs!

If I could give zero stars, I would! I had a door installed before Christmas. The door was placed incorrectly and the finish was messy, uneven and unprofessional. The person installing told me “I can’t do a better finish, but if you stand out in the middle of the road, you can’t really see it”. He also didn’t have the correct materials with him on the day to fit the door so had to come back a few days later to finish it, leaving the opening exposed for a few days in December (not ideal). When he arrived, he STILL didn’t have the correct materials to complete the job. He arrived one last time, without notice or permission, and “finished” the job - the door was left in an appalling state.

After a battle with Senator (their customer service is questionable), the door has now been refitted, and finished to a much better standard. They agreed that it had not been fitted to the expected standard, but their attitude was “yeah sorry about that, some of the guys we have working for us aren’t as good as others and that guy is no longer with us”. They told me they’d send out their “best team” to re-do the job…so just to note, if you’re unlucky and don’t get their “best team” you may end up with a botched job!!

Also, the first installation left damage to my front step, not to mention weeks of inconvenience and wasted time trying to get it sorted. The damage can be easily repaired, but Senator are refusing to engage on the topic - so after spending €4,500 on the door, I’m now further out of pocket to repair damage caused by Senator.

In addition, when my door was refitted, I was told that I should have had a consultation before the door was installed to discuss placement, any issues that might arise etc. This never happened, instead a surveyor called out, looked at the door (he didn’t take measurements) and said “all looks standard”.

Senator are considerably more expensive than other providers of composite doors and I can’t see that they are worth the extra cost, AT ALL!!

I would strongly, STRONGLY, advise any other provider.

Could not be happier with the service that we received from Senator windows from start to finish. The guys who called to our home were lovely to deal with and went through everything with us and had good advice along the way. We then ordered the sash windows and doors with them. They were installed as soon as we were ready for them and the fitting of the windows were faultless. The finishing and attention to detail resulted in a perfect complete job and we could not be happy them.

Great service and window fitters are pleasant,hard working and reliable. Now with the weather very cold,the benefits of triple glazed are very noticeable.

From fitting to delivery, everything delivered and installed on time. One small issue with a frame was speedily resolved, and totally without fuss.
This is the second house we have used Senator, and will use them again!

We are absolutely delighted with our replacement windows and doors. Very professional and extremely neat work. The two lads who came to do the job, Martin and Damien, were both lovely fellas and their attention to detail surpassed our expectations. Would highly recommend Senator Windows to anyone looking for a competent, professional and friendly company to deal with. 5 Stars

Our experience has been amazing from speedy quote to installation. We had a total window replacement which was carried out as arranged in 2.5 days. All the team were professional, quick, pleasant and respectful of our home literally cleaning as they left. We would highly recommend Senator Windows.

Very poor after sales service. We are still under guarantee for a full fit out of doors and windows however trying to get them out to fix a window that won’t open is proving impossible. After paying so much for the initial installation it is very disappointing and frustrating.

rang about a quote, person wasnt very nice said a rep would phone me the following day ,heard nothing since (10 days) got them elsewhere

I had a front door and French doors fitted late 2019 to upgrade my old doors. My house is now colder. The fitting was a disaster. The fitting was subcontracted and the two young lads who turned up hadn't a clue what they were doing. I had to ring them repeatedly when the front step collapsed. They had cemented rubble, they removed to install the door, together and stuck it around the sides of the step. I know that doesn't sound like it makes sense, because it doesn't. Even then they sent two other guys to fix it did a half assed job at fixing it. The French doors never closed properly and still let cold in. I gave up ringing, but I think that's the hope, that people will stop ringing. NO Customer Service and NO Comeback once they get paid. I also made the mistake of paying in full before the job was finished. NEVER AGAIN. They're cowboys. Giving the senators Windows brand a bad name. I'm saving up for a new door and I'll be going elsewhere to get it.

Would have been a long term customer of senator Drogheda having got all my windows and doors from but trying to get support for issues with our front door had taken over 6 months to even get an answer. No support from management and still not resolved nearly a year later. I give up . Will never use again.

Looked for a quote from Dublin office last Monday.....they passed my details to local rep in mayo....Patrick contacted me the next day...I sent an email with measurements for a new house and he was back with prices the next day...very helpful and efficient service

Be fully aware of your consumer rights dealing with Senator. My door was in bits after 9 years and it took months and months to get it sorted. Fitters were nice guys. But the company tried to change me €600 for a day's labour, eventhough the door was under warranty. I rang CCPC (consumer protection) and was advised to write them a letter. When I pointed out that they were wrong in charging me that, they backed off. Be careful dealing with them. Contact CCPC for advice if in doubt.

Just had side door installed Delighted with it. Two fitters did an excellent job. Nice people v helpful would definitely go to them when we get around to having windows replace

We fitted a front and back door 3 years ago. Very expensive but we thought that it was worth the money in terms of durability. We were wrong...the handle and locks are flimsy and the doors are drafty which is absolutely unacceptable for such expensive doors. What makes thing much worse is that their customer service is appalling. We tried to have them coming to our house for last 2 months to fix the doors but they just don't do it. wE called them more than 10 times and they promise to call us back but they never did it. On the top of that, they charge you 100euros to come and just have a look at the doors.
Absolutely no respect for their clients...Stay away from this brand...the may have a nice showroom and a good sales team but once the doors/windows are installed, you are on your own...and the quality is not there...VERY DISAPPOINTING

Marvellous from start to finish. Our bungalow was broken into mid September I phoned Patrick Donegan (Sligo) at around 4.30 on 24/9/21and he was round to us within an hour to measure up he was pleasant and helpful at all times. The quote was with us the next day and he said he would try and get the window fitted by the end of October as it was a security risk.True to his word we received a phone call to say that the fitter would be round at 8.30 on the 22nd October. Dead on 8.30 Pat arrived and started work removing the damaged window shortly after Patrick arrived with the new window. By 11 am it was all done with the minimum of mess I am extremely pleased and would recommend Senator to anyone.

We bought our replacement windows from SENATOR WINDOWS (KILKENNY). I have to compliment their service from ordering through to fitting. I first spoke to Terence when looking for a quote and it was a pleasure to deal with him. On our agreement on a price, Terence subsequently called to our home and took measurements for our windows. Due to restrictions caused by Covid and the backlog of orders, it took about 4 months before the fitters called to take the final measurements. We did not have any issues with the delay. A few weeks later Karl and Jim (the fitters) came to fit the windows. Their fitting was to a very high standard and their work had a "no nonsense" approach, which I find totally acceptable. We had a minimum amount of cleaning up to do when they had finished fitting. Our new windows are very good quality and the price was acceptable. I would be more than happy to recommend SENATOR WINDOWS to anyone.... thanks again Terence, Karl and Jim.

Senator Windows installed new front doors just over a month ago, after initial cleaning I discovered white marks on doors and frames. I have contacted the company on 4 occasions detailing the faults and as requested sent photos of problem by email, twice.
To date no response from the company, terrible customer service. Certainly would not recommended them.

I recently got windows done in the front of my house. I am delighted with the finish and effort that was done in installing them. The even repairs marks on my front door which wasn't part of the service. The quality and finish is there for senator. I have had cowboys in the past but wouldn't go anywhere else now.
