Very disappointing service experience

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience at this Land Rover dealership today.

My vehicle service had been scheduled with Service DEPT Staff, with a courtesy vehicle arranged. This is not the first time I have experienced a problem with courtesy-car arrangements. On previous occasions, I have turned up for a confirmed appointment only to be told that a courtesy vehicle was unavailable and that the appointment would need to be rescheduled.

Unfortunately, the same thing happened again today.

When I expressed my frustration about this recurring issue, I was then accused by a member of the service team, M..., of being aggressive. I strongly dispute that characterisation. I was expressing my frustration about a repeated failure in the service arrangements that had been made with me.

What made the situation even more disappointing was that a colleague sitting beside her then interjected and supported the allegation that I was being aggressive.

I found the whole interaction extremely inappropriate and upsetting. Customers should be able to raise legitimate concerns about repeated service failures without being labelled as aggressive simply for expressing their dissatisfaction.

I have purchased several new vehicles from this dealership, so I would expect a considerably higher standard of customer service and professionalism.

I have now raised this as a formal complaint and have also requested that the relevant CCTV footage from 11:00–11:52 on 7 September 2026 is preserved and reviewed so that there is an objective record of what actually happened.

I hope senior management will investigate this properly, including the recurring courtesy-car issue and the conduct of the staff involved. At this stage, I am very disappointed with the way I have been treated.

Car went in for a recall. Car came back with the clips around the headlight surround snapped off, causing the surround to be loose. Disappointed.

“Buy a Range Rover for vanity, not for sanity.” Unfortunately, after my experience, that saying rings very true.

If you are considering buying a Range Rover, I would strongly recommend thinking again.

I have owned mine for around six months and it has spent more than half of that time in the garage.

It went into Stratstone Milton Keynes on 27th May for what was supposed to be a one-day job. It is now the end of August, over three months later, and I still don’t even have a confirmed date for when I will get my vehicle back.

It has been issue after issue after issue. Every time you think you are getting somewhere, something else seems to go wrong or another delay appears.

This isn’t a cheap vehicle. You buy a Range Rover Sport expecting a premium product and a premium ownership experience. Instead, I have spent more than half of my ownership without the vehicle.

Three months to deal with something originally booked in for one day — and still no confirmed return date — is frankly ridiculous.

So, to anyone reading reviews because you’re thinking about buying a Range Rover: DON’T.

However good they look and however nice they are when they’re working, none of that matters when the vehicle spends months sitting at a dealership.

I certainly won’t be buying another Range Rover and as soon as I get it back I’ll be selling it whilst losing roughly £5,000 worth of depreciation from it just sitting in the garage.

I will update this review when I eventually get the vehicle back with the final amount of time it spent off the road.

Made to feel like a valued customer. Sales people were helpful listening to what I wanted, and not pushing me to something I didn’t. I was very happy with the service I received and would be happy to recommend.

Easy booking, service timescle adhered to and hire car was good. Only issue was when washed after service part of the vehicle name across the bonnet came adrift. We await this small fix.

Tell you your car is fixed for you to prove it’s not on collection, rebooked and then after a week told you’ve damaged it and they can’t help.
Thankfully JLR actually listen to there customers as this dealership clearly doesn’t.

Took over 10 months to resolve the issues and finally get my vehicle back and because they updated the software I am now unable to use android auto wirelessly. No apologies nothing

Was booked in promptly and my car was fixed within the stipulated time frame as promised.
Adviser kept me informed all through

Service reception staff were very helpful and courteous. Quality of after service car clean was very good.
