Do not recommend Sytner select at all

I purchased a vehicle from Sytner Select (Willenhall) in April 2025, and unfortunately my experience since then has been extremely poor.

Within the first 90 days, I experienced a gearbox issue which required attention. Although this was eventually addressed, the issue was not resolved properly the first time and required further visits.

Since then, I have had ongoing problems with the vehicle, including repeated dashboard warning lights and electrical faults. In February 2026, I returned the car due to multiple warning lights. I was told the issue had been fixed, only to drive half a mile down the road and have all the lights come back on. When I returned, I was then told only part of the issue had been investigated due to time constraints and that I would need to rebook the vehicle again.

On a subsequent visit, I was advised that a rear wiring harness needed replacing, however this was not covered under warranty as it was deemed “wear and tear”, leaving the issue unresolved.

Most recently, the vehicle broke down completely. The RAC attended and identified a coolant leak within minutes, advising that it appeared to have been present for some time, which should’ve been picked up by Sytner when they had my car. This has now resulted in a blown head gasket — a major failure that should not occur on a vehicle of this age.

Despite multiple emails, including urgent requests for a courtesy car while I am left without a vehicle, I have received little to no response from the dealership. The lack of communication and support has been extremely frustrating and has caused significant disruption to my daily life, including getting my child to school and travelling to work.

I have now formally reported this matter to Trading Standards due to the ongoing issues and lack of resolution.

I am also having to pursue this matter through the finance company due to the dealership’s lack of engagement.

Overall, I am very disappointed with both the quality of the vehicle and the level of customer service. While the initial sales process was positive, the aftercare when things have gone wrong has been unacceptable.

I would not recommend based on my experience as all they do is send an automated response asking to contact the manager, however, they don’t reply nor resolve the issue.

There were other slots where this service was not available. I waited the best part of 4 hours. I should have been warned about this. No apology or explanation just blank looks and not my fault etc. will not fall for this again.

We had a great experience

We had a great experience, car we were after was not in stock at the site we visited arranging to have on brought down was simple, Norris was great in arranging this , the process of purchasing was a little tedious but having not done it for a long while this may just be how it is , had the car a week now with no issues , we did but additional insurance policies for alloy wheels and paint work but in hindsight I’d say this was a mistake as there are cheaper options available elsewhere

To be honest it’s ok some of the…

To be honest it’s ok some of the workers are really nice and caring .
But me and my mum brought a car last week and when we were driving home a warning popped up and said low oil pressure. When we got back we could smell burning oil so we called them and they booked us in . Then my mum spent 5 hours waiting for the car in the garage it’s just ridiculous.

My dad also brought a car ( BMW M4 ) and that was fine . Like why would they sell us a car that’s broken ? The car that’s broken is an AUDI SQ7.

At the garage the car was sitting in the car park for 2 hours before it even moved .

It’s ok just ask them is the car fine with the manager and see if there good at there job enough to see if the cars fine .

Very poor service specially I bought…

Very poor service specially I bought the bmw from Sytner select Wolverhampton with in 6 months had drivetrain problem also the Sytner recovery team has damaged my entire front side steering rag with unprofessional poor mishandling, then their complaint customer advicer Ian banks provide us false latter from their recovery agent to escape after they broke my car, 2 months being we struggling with this issue, they don’t even provide any courtesy car aswell ,please don’t buy any car from Sytner group they’re totally not customer friendly, I have all the proofs before my car condition after theirs mishandle condition

We had a really positive experience from start to finish when buying our Hyundai Tucson. The whole process felt straightforward and relaxed, which made a big difference compared to other places we visited.

Poor service

Just received a car today.
Readmy complaint.

Hi,
I need to point out a few things during and after my dealings with your team. The car
was advertised and sold with having 50,001 miles on it. Delivery miles were 117 so it
should have arrived with 50,118 roughly but it arrived with 50,956 on it! Photograph
taken with time and date stamp. I got two keys and had to change the batteries as the
car suggested on the dash, tyre pressure warning light came on at once as well. The
body work and wheels were being cosmetically done, poor wheel job and the car had
not even been valeted. Engine bay is filthy. I was given wrong bank details as well when
trying to make a payment. The rear tyres treads are very very low. No certificate of
mileage produced in fact all I have is 2 keys and a car and I cant tax it as the new owners
slip has not come with the car. All in all to date it has not been a very good experience
for me and its stressed me out. I really expected a better quality of service from your
team. The worst thing is I have sent several emails and even made a phone call and all
have just been ignored making me think I should return the car and get fully refunded.
Not a pleasant experience to be brutally honest. I'm seeking advice
