Terrible customer service, my daughter’s pink Tonie box 1 stopped working for no reason. After back forth via email and having to input serial number ect, multiple times I was offered a replacement in grey. I am not happy as under consumer rights this is not anywhere near the colour I purchased.
I have had over a week of email back and forth with no resolution, if I’m to return this item for a refund it means I have 20 unusable Tonies, at 14.99 each. Such a shame that the customer service, or lack of means that I would no longer recommend this product or company. It doesn’t seem that they actually care about children at all ! since I have said it’s part of the bedtime routine multiple times and that this has caused great disappointment. I would honestly consider a different brand.

My child loves his toniebox, and it’s perfect for screen-free, imaginative play. The customer care team (Alessandro M) was friendly and quick to help- very reassuring. I highly recommend toniebox to any parent looking for engaging, high-quality entertainment for their children.

I can’t reached the support service. They send me blank emails and then ask for opinions on how they solved the problem. I wrote maybe 10 emails and the answer is always a blank email. One of the tonies does not appear in the My Tones app, the other (the sleep tone) always freezes in the same place and scares my child.

I purchased a tonies 2 the beginning of the year, for it to play up a matter of days in so contacted customer support and the lady told me how to factory reset and start it up again; Anyway jump all the way until now and it was fine up until the other week where it would play the light but not read the tonie on top of it; this happened quite a few times and so yet again off my own back I factory reset it and time and time again it would do it again so in the end I sent an email to customer support again and explained everything including a video of it and I sent the old box back and replaced with a new box. I really cannot thank all the team enough for their help and efficiency. My 3 year old got upset when I had to send the box back but was so excited to know a new one was coming.

I wrote to the general customer service email with a question about my tonie box--I didn't understand the error and felt lost. They replied back within hours with lots of trouble shooting suggestions and ultimately, my box was not fixable, and tonie replaced it! I am really impressed by the quality of service.

I recently discovered Tonies and I can honestly say it’s an amazing choice for any parent. It does a fantastic job of keeping my child away from screens while still offering a form of technology that is healthy and educational.
The stories and songs are engaging, easy to use, and really spark imagination without creating a dependence on TV or tablets. It’s exactly the balance I was looking for: fun, learning, and peace of mind for parents.
Highly recommend – a brilliant idea for supporting children’s development in a modern yet responsible way!

Out little girl dropped her toniebox and we were presented with 'codeword fox' every time we tried to boot it up. This meant damage to the box itself. She was very upset.
We contacted customer service via email and received a swift reply with troubleshooting options, when they didn't work, we were sent a returns label.
That was on Wednesday and we had received our new toniebox by the Saturday afternoon. Incredibly fast and friendly customer support. I cant recommend them enough. Excellent 👍

I cannot put into words how much we love our Tonie!!!!! My daughter got one over a year ago for her first birthday and she uses it every single day. We love the disney tonies (mum and dad more than toddler maybe) and the Julia Donaldson ones to read along with the physical book. Would highly recommend to help cut down screen time , entertain children and support language development.

My review is specific to the after sales customer service from Tonies.
I received a broken Tonie in my order and contacted them to arrange a refund or replacement. The process to return the broken Tonie was seamless and well explained by the agent, Ara. Royal Mail collected the next day and once I sent confirmation to Ara I was given a voucher code to order my replacement. All my questions were answered promptly and the Ara was really friendly and helpful.
Although it’s inconvenient to receive a broken item, it’s quickly forgotten when the service is prompt and efficient.

We got our daughter a pink toniebox for Christmas and in March we had an issue with it not charging anymore. Initial recommendations from the Internet were to try troubleshooting using a different charger or box but we didn't have access to these so I had to raise a support call.
The support call ended up being brief with me having to send the ID of the box, proof of purchase, and photo/video of the issue a few times over ~24 hours before being sent a claim link. It wasn't clear what I was claiming as I had just been told I could put in a claim for a replacement. Options of replacement tonieboxes were only red or blue, which was disappointing.
I then received a return label via email which I was told I could just take to Royal Mail and get sorted but this was wrong as the label I had been sent was one that required printing. I was also unclear on how much packaging I needed to return it so ended up purchasing a specialised bubble wrap envelope at personal cost (if only a couple of quid).
After a bit of back and forth I was given a link to a Royal Mail form to generate my own label. This gave me the QR code I required and I got it sent the following day before providing proof of purchase. I did not receive confirmation a replacement had been sent so followed it up three days later where it was confirmed it had been processed. The replacement arrived the next day.
Overall, the service was friendly and we got a replacement at little personal cost but the whole process seemed confusing and lacking in detail and our daughter ended up without her toniebox for a week which is part of her nighttime routine. I would expect either more attempts at identifying the fault or if a replacement service is being offered it should be quicker and more straight-forward with the QR code for returning items being sent as default upon the claim. I ended up providing details to support, the Tonies claim team, and Royal Mail when I should've only needed to provide these once and that information be disseminated accordingly throughout the process.

I am honestly at my wits end with their customer services. We have a tonie box 1 that has stopped working. I have tried to seek support through customer services using their online form and keep getting automated responses with things to try and to respond if that hasn't worked. Obviously none of their recommended actions have helped. The problem is, that there is no way to respond and I just keep getting emails bounced back, so I keep going round in circles with their online form system and getting no where. It's so infuriating and such a shame because my daughter has gotten alot of joy out of her box.

There was a charging/battery charge problem with the Tonie I bought my grandson Nov24.
Contacting Tonie, they responded very promptly l, with instructions to see if a reset would solve the problem. Unfortunately it didn't. Within minutes I was given the information to return the unit and have a replacement sent out. Cannot fault the companys' standards of service. Thank you.

I ordered a Tonie box as a gift for a long-time friend’s kids. I really appreciate how they offer a variety of figures and books for different ages. My friend has kids from 3 years up to 10 years, so can be hard finding something everyone can enjoy. The older one loves the full audiobooks and the youngsters love the figures, especially the song collections. My friend has mentioned the nighttime figures are the most played as the kids fall asleep to it.
The box was an investment, being a higher cost gift. However, the figures are a great price and I’m able to treat them to some every couple of months; they love receiving new stories through the post.
My friend appreciates the Tonie is screen-free and has encouraged the kids into further reading.

My son loves his Toniebox 2. As a 1 year old he finds it easy to use and especially enjoys the musical Tonies.
When we had a fault with the speaker, the customer service we received was excellent. We were given all the assistance needed and were sent a replacement Toniebox. This was received promptly, meaning my son wasn't without it for long.

I contacted Tonies regarding our Toniebox, which suddenly stopped working without any warning. Maria quickly resolved the issue by providing a free returns label and clearly explaining the next steps, so we could get a replacement for our little one.
We’re absolutely delighted with the service—it was so helpful, straightforward, and stress-free. Thank you again, Maria—you’re a star! You’ve made a little boy (and his parents!) very happy.

Everything with Toni was great until we brought a Toni Box 2 at Christmas 2025 for our son. We have had constant issues with it not functioning properly and needing to carry out multiple soft resets and 2 hard factory resets as advised by the support team. Eventually, we were told that the unit will be replaced..
However!! They will only ship the new unit on receipt of the old being sent out.
For most this may be ok, but our son has trouble regulating at night, and the Toni Box 1 was a dream with this and helped him calm. So now, until he gets older to understand more, he is reliant on this. and going without, disrupts his mental well being and out sanity during a tough cycle. So now we are stuck with a faulty box because I dont want to put our son through the disruption

Terrible service from Tonie UK Customer Happiness team - Happiness? This is a misnomer....
We bought a Tonie Box 2 Cloud Pink for Christmas for our 6 year old granddaughter and it has not worked properly since it was opened. We missed the deadline for a refund as there was no reply from Tonie UK and now three months later we are still waiting now to action a replacement. We keep being directed to the ClaimPortal and then closed down!
There is no-one to speak to and the Customer Happiness team I expect is a 'chat bot' that can not think 'outside the box' (sorry for the pun!).
We are close to giving up which means giving up on a £100 product and our granddaughter is without the gift we bought for her.
