It seems that since they were bought by one of the big quasi-monpolies in the travel business they have completely lost their value because THEY ROUTINELY REJECT NEGATIVE REVIEWS. Their algorithms are completely biased it seems.

I left a review for them and was totally blown off!!!

Grand Wailea, A Waldorf Astoria Resort Wailea Disrespected and Unwelcome – A Disturbing Experience at Grand Wailea

As a timeshare owner, I expected to be treated with the same respect as any guest. Instead, my family and I were kicked out of the pool area by management, who claimed that we didn’t have access to the resort amenities — despite the fact that nowhere in writing does it say that timeshare owners are excluded.

What made the situation even worse was the tone and attitude of the staff. The interaction left me feeling not just dismissed, but singled out. As a Black person, I can’t help but feel that race played a role in how we were treated. The lack of clarity in policy combined with the way management approached us made the experience humiliating and painful. There is no need to keep mentioning how expensive your rooms are! A timeshare is way more expensive!

We’ve invested thousands of dollars into this resort through ownership, and to be treated this way was unacceptable. Grand Wailea needs to train its staff on both proper guest relations and cultural sensitivity. Every guest and owner deserves dignity and fair treatment, no matter their background.

Until the resort addresses this issue and clarifies its policies, I cannot in good conscience recommend Grand Wailea to anyone.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Bought tickets on Trip Advisor for the Uffizi museum in Florence. Had the digital tickets on my phone: all good, I thought. Not a bit of it: the real tickets - the ones that will gain entrance to the actual museum - have to be procured from a random guy on some street corner nearby. Why? I had the QR codes on my phone. We paid for 'fast track' but it so wasn't 'fast' track at all. More 'confusing and enraging track'. Nowhere was it explained that this was what we would have to do. My advice: don't waste your hard-earned cash on Trip Advisor's false promises and just get in the queue for the unticketed. Never again. They refused to publish this review on their own website, incidentally. We did get into the museum but it was a struggle and we didn't pay for that!

Je gère une boutique de vêtements à Maurice et j’ai récemment invité mes clientes, via un message WhatsApp, à laisser un avis sur ma page TripAdvisor — une démarche pourtant autorisée et même recommandée.
Résultat : leur système a jugé cela “frauduleux” et supprimé la majorité de mes avis, anciens comme récents.
Malgré les preuves envoyées (copies de messages et base clients), TripAdvisor n’a rien rétabli, se contentant d’un message automatique.
C’est profondément injuste, surtout après des années à contribuer à la plateforme. Une belle initiative devenue, hélas, un vrai désavantage pour les petites entreprises.

Je voulais mettre un avis négatif sur l'appart hotel Rockapart à Vienne. En effet si les chambres sont très bien tout le reste n'est pas sérieux. (Voir IA) Tripadvisor m'a indiqué que l'adresse ne correspondait pas. .......... :-(

On the day of, when the dangerous weather came in I contacted both Viator (spoke with a non English speaking person who did not help) and I contacted the tour operator who admitted water conditions were not “ideal” but they’d still go out. I HAVE 2 YOUNG CHILDREN. I WILL NOT GO OUT ON AN OCEAN WHEN EVEN MY HOTEL PUT UP RED FLAGS AND DID NOT ALLOW US IN THE WATER. I have stated several times that as of September 1, 2025 THERE IS NO ACTIVE Charge back with our financial institution. I’ve talked to them several times and they have continuously told me that TripAdvisor/Viator is the one who should issue the refund. Please do not email me stating that there is an active charge back when in fact, I have two letters stating that based on our financial institution, that has been closed. Again, I’m requesting a refund for a sailing trip. The sunset cruise should have been canceled based on poor weather conditions. You should show good faith to your customers that safety comes first; and not putting money in your pocket and putting your customers at risk. Escalate this to management please.

Tropical Treats in Leeton dropped in for a couple of ice- creams which were nice, used my savings account to pay charged $1.58 surcharge nothing to say they do charge, let the public know... I would have paid cash

Cucina carina is a restaurant in Mount Laurel NJ. My wife and I went for a nice nite out. Soup was served in a cup smaller than I have ever seen. Should have been much hotter. Salad was also quite small. Rolls were fabulous. Soft and right out of oven. My lasagna was good. The sauce was excellent. My wife had chicken Marsala and thought it was very good. The major issue was that entire meal with wine took 43 minutes. We were not eating at a diner. Second time same result. Since we like to relax and eat Cucina has moved off our list.

The Magnificent Mile hotel is part of the Chicago Hotel collection and is undoubtedly the WORST hotel we have ever stayed in!

We arrived on Saturday 23 August 2025 and were immediately hit with a “tourist tax of over 432 dollars!!” It is the biggest rip off ever! We are in room 2804 and it’s very very poor! The curtains don’t close and there is a massive stain on the ceiling where there has obviously been a leak from upstairs! Now you would think that after being fleeced for all that money that the room would be at least cleaned daily? Not a chance! Same towels for 3 days and we had to provide our own toilet paper!

What do you get for all this money? Not a lot! It really is the pits of a hotel and by writing this review I am hoping to warn anyone thinking of staying here- DONT!!!!!

We have warned off a group of friends who are part of a choir and have moved their booking to another hotel who will not rip them off! The staff look embarrassed by the fact that guests have lined up to complain about the charge which is totally unacceptable and unjustified!!

Please think twice if you are thinking of booking a stay here - there are many hotels in this area which will not charge anything like the price which we had to pay! After saving up for so long to enjoy this wonderful city it is sad that we feel so very upset by this poor excuse for a hotel!!

Dieses Bewertungsportal ist das schlechteste was es gibt. Die Bewertungen, die dieses Portal veröffentlicht, entsprechen zu 98% nicht der Wahrheit.
Wir haben jetzt schon öfter dort reklamiert, dass einfach Bewertungen zu uns zugeordnet werden, obwohl die Gäste garnicht bei uns waren sondern in einem anderen Restaurant. Aber eine Überprüfung findet leider nicht statt. Dieses Portal ist wirklich eine Unverschämtheit!!!

J’aurais mis 0 si c’était possible. Une catastrophe ce site, une fois que votre restaurant est malheureusement afficher ici vous êtes condamné à subir leur dictature, aucune vérification des avis, et service client robotisé complètement inutile, j’espère les voir sous peut rayer de la carte, heureusement que Google my buisness a étais créer.

Købte en tur via trip advisor. Modtog alt info på et fremmed sprog - altså hverken dansk eller engelsk. Vi tog derhen, men ingen kunne hjælpe os, da de ikke kunne læse billetten og det kunne vi heller ikke.

Jeg kunne ikke få gennemført turen, da jeg ikke kunne forstå oplysningerne og jeg kunne ikke få pengene tilbage, da de henviser til, at jeg har fået info, selvom det er beklageligt at jeg har modtaget det på et fremmed sprog. Prøv selv at finde en adresse i Italien i en flere sider lang mail på østeuropæisk.

Selve billet jeg kunne downloade til wallet, havde ingen adresse.

Ce site est une blague. Si vous ne payez pas d'abonnement ou d'extras, en tant que professionnel (ici de la restauration), on vous supprime les avis positifs (preuve cette semaine avec test avec une cliente historique qui se voit supprimé son commentaire sans aucune info après réception d'un mail qui indique que l'avis a été publié. A l'inverse, j'ai 2 avis au moins qui devraient être enlevés (accusations diffamatoires de 2 menteurs, je pourrais porter plainte si j'avais du temps et de l'argent à perdre pour poursuivre deux londoniens) mais que tripadvisor refuse d'enlever même quand je rappelle que les avis sont diffamants et relèvent du pénal. Bref, n'inscrivez pas votre établissement si vous comptez garder un compte gratuit, les comptes gratuits se font pourrir indécemment, nulle modération honnête mais des avis positifs qui disparaissent sans aucune info.

Trip Advisor has removed a review of my horrific stay in June 2025, at the Houda Yasmine hotel in Tunisia 3 times!!
Although my review included photographic evidence and was 💯 accurate the company insists on not allowing the public to gain a honest opinion of this place. They are not as transparent as they should be, this is unacceptable when people use the site when deciding on important issues when planning holidays

Used to be about actually reviewing hotel/trips etc, now it takes about 30 mins to actually find a review. All they do is try to sell you stuff. Such a shame they have been greedy and made it all about money. No point in using the site anymore….its useless.

The Royal Azul Thalassa, The hotel is very good, the only option in all inclusive is the buffet. The common areas are really nice and well-kept. I can't say the same about the rooms. We booked a premium room, but they gave us a room facing the air conditioning units and it was very noisy. We complained, and they ended up giving us a room for disabled people, without a telephone and with a shower area that, in addition to a leak in the ceiling, the water from the shower flooded the entire bathroom. Despite all this and some of the staff being unfriendly and even rude, I believe I will return. Hopefully next time the room will be truly premium.

My home is currently registered on Trip Advisor as a rental. This has not been the case since i have owned the property. Despite multiple requests to both Trip Advisor and Google they are actively refusing to remove the listing. Despite it being incorrect, outdated and quite frankly dangerous. I have now had two separate incidents of people turning up at the house, walking through the garden and peering through windows in the belief that the house is for rent. This is dangerous and unsettling. I have contacted the police who tell me there is nothing they can do until such time as there is criminal damage. Totally baffling how Trip Advisor gets away with this kind of behaviour. This has been going on for over a year.
