I had review taken down. I paid to go to a fishing lake with my child. While fishing the owner was shooting geese in front of us. We left. I put this on trip advisor to warn other families and they took it down, this is the best bit: I can’t appeal unless I live in the EU? I’ve never heard such nonsense!

E' quasi impossibile far correggere una recensione errata, fosse anche sulla pagina sbagliata perchè gli algoritmi automatici ma anche i moderatori fisici risultano spesso inadeguati nella valutazione delle richieste.

Bad company recommended by trip advisor. I noted on thailand airways org that you recommended their site but the company scammed me. Can you confirm that you recommended them or are they scamming you too. Sorry if they are but can you confirm?

Trip Advisor CLAIMS it has software to detect, and prevent fraudulent reviews, yet what I have discovered is that Trip Advisor is often at fault, thus creating its own fraud! It claims to use, so called, 'AI' to operate, but let's rename that 'AS'; Artificial Stupidity! My source is an Apple Macbook Air. It had an issue, so I used a public library, and there I created my Trip Advisor account, and posted three reviews for: The Lobster Inn, Sheringham, The Fishing Boat, East Runton, and The Wellington, Cromer; all pubs. The Lobster Inn received a negative review, and here for all to see (and Trip Advisor) is the review:

The pub is clearly a chain pub, with new refurbishment, which has ruined its past fisherman's history. We bought two drinks, being a pint of lager and a large white wine, for almost £20! That is over-priced, and just not justified. Service was poor, and we left, never to return''.

So, WHY block and delete this? It is fact, and does not contravene any rules, regulations; nothing!

The next review, was positive, and for The Fishing Boat:

''Refreshing to see a nice, local pub, for locals, with honest and fair pricing. There were signs of £3.00 a pint outside, but the cost was up a little, but great service, nice character and we will be back!''

You BLOCKED that!

The next, The Wellington, and again positive:

''Great pub, with locals, and for locals, honest pricing. We didn't eat, but saw good service, and happy faces.''

That was deleted, too. Why?

When I got home, I did the reviews that your system tampered with again, as my Apple was working. You allowed one - just one! The Fishing Boat! So, does that mean you are prejudiced against public, library computers? Is it that your Stupid System (that doens't notify members of any issues, by the way) just blocks, as and when it clicks?! If so, your system is actually creating a warped, and distorted (fake) review platform.

I put the reviews back in, using my Apple Mac, and again you rejected the negative review. I had to try three times, and now your Artificial Stupidity probable believes that I am attempting to place multi reviews! When all I did was place honest reviews. I have mentioned this to friends, and we conducted an experiment.

They HAVE visited both pubs, but never, ever left Trip Advisor reviews for them. They, too, tried the negative review for The Lobster, and guess what? YOU BLOCKED THEM, TOO!

I suspect you are either protecting the pub, now that it has had a number of negative review attempts, and this is either your human staff or the software or both! IF either form is doing this, then they are, again, interfering with reviews, tampering with results, and fraudulently creating ratings! Not reviewers, YOUR SYSTEM!

You are, clearly, using IP addresses, cookies, and obvious detection signs to stop mass and serial fakes, but when new computers are used, without history, and even public computers, which you don't like (maybe others have left reviews using the public ones) you are still interfering with fact and truth!

So, tell us all: why is The Lobster Inn, part of Stonegate Pubs UK, who own 3,500 venues, all advertising on Trip Advisor, not open to negative reviews using your platform? Are you protecting it, and the company? Are you committing fraud? Or is your Artificial Stupidity actually creating a system that stops honest reviews, simply when people attempt to re-write a review, because it was blocked in the first place? I suspect you have created a system that flags up, because of what t does itself! Thus, your reviews are imbalanced!

You need to get human beings back, and stop this nonsense. You also NEED to allow us to complain, and write to you, as you hide any form of contact details! It is impossible to make a complaint, hence we turn to here! And to Facebook. I have left negative comments there, and yet you don't bother to even read them, let alone reply.

Ladies & Gentlemen: Trip Advisor creates its own fakes!

I have always used Trip Advisor as a reference point before booking Hotels, so after a recent experience at HcH Hotel (Henry Oscar Alfie Ray Cross Hotel), I submitted a detailed review with photographic evidence which I had taken myself using my own phone during my stay at HcH and Spa Hotel. The review addressed several issues concerning lack of cleanliness and poor maintenance of Rooms and Suites. Yesterday (12th July 2024) I received an email from Trip Advisor saying:

"Unfortunately, we cannot publish your contribution as it does not meet our posting guidelines.
We do not allow photos posted to a property's listing that may be copied or reproduced from other websites or sources."

I have appealed their decision this morning (13th July 2024 at 10:15) - as ALL the photos are mine; and taken by me at HcH Hotel; using my own iPhone; during my stay at the Hotel 28th June - 30th June 2024.

I was not advised who reported / rejected the review or which photographs were apparently taken from another site. Naturally, I am a little concerned and wondering if this is an unprofessional, biased decision made by Trip Advisor due to a conflict of interest; or an attempt by HcH Hotel to suppress a well documented review coming to light?
I have appealed the decision, and requested evidence to support the initial withdrawal of my review. I am currently giving Trip Advisor the benefit of the doubt regarding their reluctance to upload my review - and hope they will respond in detail with the evidence I have requested. I have since re-uploaded the review (minus the photographs) I will keep you posted regarding the appeal and if the new review makes it onto their site.

UPDATE ALREADY!!! Yes it is the SAME DAY as I appealed! At 13:03 13th July 2024 I received a response from Trip Advisor informing me they had concluded an extensive review of my appeal LOL!

I appealed the decision this morning at 10:15. Then made an initial review of Trip Advisor (with a 3 Star Review pending their approach to the situation). Apparently Trip Advisor have already investigated the matter and upheld their decision despite me categorically telling them the photographs are mine and that I am willing to submit my phone for investigation. APPARENTLY Trip Advisor conducted a THOROUGH REVIEW in less than 3 hours LOL!!!!!
Did they provide any evidence as requested? NO
Did they tell me which of MY PHOTOGRAPHS was in infringement of their policies (as I requested)? NO
Did they ask for my phone to conduct a thorough investigation? NO
Did they inform me of who reported or asked them to suppress my review? NO

Yes it is THEIR website and they can choose to upload whatever information they choose. HOWEVER SUPPRESSING GENUINE / HONEST / EVIDENCED reviews without due cause - and using lies to generate a reason; indicates that this is not an unbiased site and that reviews which could inform your decision are not indicative of genuine, traveler experiences.

I have attached a copy of Trip Advisor's response (Please bear in mind I appealed their decision at 10:15 on 13th July 2024) :

Trip Advisor is a waste!!! Why? Because it protects businesses over customers bad experiences that wish to put out the truth, example a hotel thats lying on its page of the photos of the hotel and its services. Example: the hotel had manually switched off the aircon in all rooms due to construction works in other part of hotel leaving guests with no air con, just pathetic mini desk fan and bitten terribly by bed bugs (Paris Mondial Hotel) photos support along with the review was not supported by TA. The Hotels own website advertise 24hrs aircon with digital control temperature to suit and the hotel looks immaculate though in reality the carpets smell of vomit and a million clearly visible stains throughout!!!
No aircon,
Broken dangerous kettle,
No ironing board, use your bed advised by hotel reception.
Lobby toilets on lock & key due to prevent the builders using it!
No luggage case table.
No bathroom fan- terribly steams up, can't see when coming out (hazzard!!!)
Red Bed bug wittness on bed crawling.
Hair & grime ring in bath tub.
Everything extremely out

Hotel booked through Agoda and honest true review sent on TripAdvisor, these companies are sugar coating everything!! making profits over customers health and safety act 2015. The hotel cost £150 per night on a discounted rate, its not worth £20 per night to be brutally honest.
Its high time customers booked direct after visually viewing hotels with a bacj up plan to stay elsewhere if nothing found suitable and cut out all the middle men as they too are lying in your face and taking your payments like daylight robbery. Feels like as these sites were ran by criminals rather than providing honest legit services. CUSTOMERS ARE THE BUSINESS AND THEIR HARD EARNED PAYMENTS SHOULD ONLY BE PAID TO HONEST SERVICES AND NOT LYING CRIMINALS!!!!!!!

Can be a useful web page. But has an undisclosed conflict of interest. They appear to sell adverts to the places being reviewed. All the positive stuff is front loaded. And while there are some negative reviews posted. I suspect most are not for any place that’s a big advertiser. I recently posted a very negative review of Tropical Island in Germany. This wasn’t posted and if you look at reviews here. It seems to be a common theme

If I had read reviews before booking I would not have gone they were horrendous. I even took own bedding.How wrong they were We arrived very early hrs and were giving a sandwich from reception gratefully recieved Water was in fridge in our room. The room was clean bedding fresh air con wrked RECEPTION staff . Extremely helpful polite and always a pleasure to speak to .FOOD the food was absolutely well presented plenty choices fresh cooked chicken done in front of you as was fish YOU won't starve WAITING staff are efficient attentive very polite always there to assist with a smile.SPA I had 2medical massage as I have spinal issues OMG wow amazing she was very professional in her wrk very friendly so befor you think they give you the big rip off sell,the experience will prove you so wrong AMAZING I paid £35 each and very very impressed. Booked through trip advisor two rooms in Mexico, when arrived was told one of the rooms was cancelled by trip advisor. So proceeded to make another reservation directly on the hotels website because the finance accounting department was closed on the weekends so they could not find out what happened. So on Monday when finance and accounting department was open to investigate…they proceeded to lock us out of our room until we paid for the second room. Then when we went to check out they held us hostage to pay for the first room as suddenly they did not have the payment for that either, they allowed us to check into it upon arrival because it was paid in full just resorrt fees. So I paid twice for both rooms back in June 2023 and then proceeded to come home and file with trip advisor help desk that emailed me in march 2024 that a refund was being issued in 7-10 business days. Well it has been almost a month (April 2024) and all lines of communication with the trip advisor help desk have been closed by trip advisor because the issue is closed. No refund no way to find out why. Do not book with trip advisor or any of these sites because they do not support you. Almost a year later and I still don’t have a resolution.

Premièrement ils harcèlent les clients pour mettre des avis hors que les avis ne reflétant pas du tout la vérité car les clients ne disent pas la vérité.
S’ils vous aiment, ils mettent un bon avis et s’ils ne vous aiment pas il vous mettent un mauvais.
D’autre part c est une agence de voyages très indécente pour leur fournisseurs.. à commencer par les
Avis, les agents de chez eux sont infects, les pires agents jamais vu et les
Commissions énormes.
Ils n’ont pas de représentants en France et impossible de joindre un autre service que l’assistance.

Trip advisor is scammers they made listing in my company name I call them trying explain that listing not belong to us
They contact us and told us they removed our company info in few weeks they added back
Reviews about bday party’s that we don’t provide that and taxi service

Had a TA account for many years. Recently reviewed a restaurant and truthfully mentioned that it had received a 2 star hygiene rating. TA wanted me to remove this mention of hygiene rating. There are many questionable reviews on TA that they do not remove and yet want truthful reviews editing. I have now closed my TA account.

My stay at Regent House in Angelsea exceeded expectations. The cozy and impeccably clean accommodations, coupled with the attentive and responsive staff, made for a truly enjoyable experience. Preventive maintenance, upkeep, additions, and remodeling without mandated building codes per the state of Arkansas being met.
Ex-cons allowed to operate, small businesses without a license.
Natural beauty of the countryside, destroy by builders only seeking cash in box site has offer compared to the surrounding cities.
Teachers to carry concealed weapons, while children are at school without any screening for those hand, selected by the principal to carry weapons.
Emergency services they’re not available in an emergent or non-emergent situation.
The current mayor soliciting customers from our city for his own personal business he operates when he is serving in the capacity as the mayor of Bauxite.

The list of neglect by the city officials of Bauxite, Arkansas is endless.

It’s time to vote the ones who refuse to give up their seat and stand in the back allowing anyone truly seeking to bring Bauxite, Arkansas back to the small town it once was.

The downtown area of Bauxite should be no less appealing than the city of Benton, Arkansas a highly populated community of Caucasians.

The city of Bauxite deserves to be known other than the little town just 3 miles east of Bryant, Arkansas.

Les Millard 8 of us travelled with the company in Nov 23 and took a trip around this island. Les, took in the history and culture and really enjoyed the detail and knowledge.

I would absolutely recommend this company, they are trustworthy and lovely.
