Tradewind seemed very enthusiastic and "on it" in my interview with them but my onboarding was delayed for weeks due to people going on holiday and a lack of communication or appropriate handover. As a result I was asked for the same reference multiple times and my CV, past experience and interests were incorrectly recorded. By the time I had finally got signed up it was already half way through the term and "loads of work" had turned into nothing.
It was really frustrating as I quit my job to gain teaching experience before my PGCE.

5 Stars 🌟 I’ve had a great experience with this agency — they helped me secure a very ideal and suitable teaching assistant role at a lovely school. Communication has been excellent throughout, both with me and the school, and they’ve always delivered on the roles they promised. The payment system is straightforward and easy to understand, which is a huge plus. Overall, a reliable and professional agency that I’d definitely recommend!

I've worked with Tradewind for nearly a year now and they've always found me work. Lucy is a fantastic consultant, always on the end of the phone to offer support and advice.

I have been working for Tradewind for 6 years now and I have always been happy with their service. Being a supply teacher can feel pretty isolating...so it's really lovely to have found an agency that has that personal touch. The agent that I am currently working with is Mark and his kindness and support have greatly been appreciated.

Tradewind are an amazing agency to work for, the team (previously Wendy, and Helen) are always looking for opportunities for you to work & nothing is too much trouble. They are on the phone asking how work went & wanting an honest opinion so they can find the right placement for you. If things don’t work out they try their hardest to find something more suitable to your needs and not to leave you out of work.
They’re very understanding and genuinely care for their staff. I have had a few health issues recently so had to take a substantial time off, Helen kept in constant contact asking if I was ok and even sent a card out to me.
Honestly I highly recommend this agency to work for. The only reason I left is because I was offered a contracted job.

To be honest I signed with Tradewind 3 years ago. During that time I told them I would only do prebooked as I had other commitments and early morning calls were no good for me. I was allocated a consultant who did not understand my needs and still doesnt. However, I didnt mind as there are others who are pretty good and I was able to get 2/3 days a week through them. This academic year, I havent had anything from them and when I do ring them they ask me to ring in the morning. This does not work for me as I need to arrange other things in my life to take last minute calls. I can only do prebooked. Also they keep on telling me its quite but my friends get bookings! They keep on changing consultants and their areas and the new consultants never introduce themselves. So disappointed as they advertise themselves as been flexible and understanding; and would try to place supply teachers accordingly.

Initially Tradewind were keen to find me work as a teacher, I noticed a decline in pay as they continually wanted me to work as a cover supervisor for significantly less than qualified teacher pay. They also started contacting me when I’d specifically asked to not have on-the-day calls for work as I have family commitments - when I mentioned this I noticed a reduction in offering work which seemed like a punishment almost. The problem is that there are many other agencies to work for, I really didn’t appreciate that and felt they take advantage of perhaps younger professionals - but I’ve been round the block and I don’t think they liked that they couldn’t guilt me into working for less. I spoke to other teachers who had experienced similar from this agency too. On the plus side, I never had any problems with payroll which was reliable and efficient.

I am working with trade wind for long and my experience recently with Nick Francis is really good he is quite an understanding and helpful person 😊

My new consultant Anna at TW,( who recently took over from Eamonn is very polite, affable, with a lovely telephone manner Anna responds to my texts very promptly, and I am very impressed that she is getting me regular daily supply work at the school whereby I enjoy working at within my locality of west London.
When she took over from Eamonn, she called me and spoke to me in length about how she will continue to offer me work at the school I normally work at and that she would try and get me as much work as possible. Anna has fulfilled these promises and I am so pleased that I have her as my consultant. Anna has been amazing so far and i am most grateful that I have her as my consultant. Furthermore, if Anna cannot give me work in the morning, then she has made sure to give me work from her fellow colleagues at TW who have bookings outside of west London.
I have no hesitation in recommending Anna as a great consultant.
I have been working for TW as a daily supply teacher and during some periods in long term roles for 11 years. They are the best agency I have worked for because the consultants are highly efficient, very friendly, they follow up any queries diligently and have consistently given me regular work in good schools

Gary Sampson at Tradewind has been particularly excellent as a reliable go-to person in the process of finding supply work, attending the interview and getting to the school in question. He even recommended a place to park and found out timings for getting there. Gary is very easy to talk to and very kind and professional. He also goes beyond the call of duty in giving general employment advice in his own time. I am super-impressed! Thank you.

Birmingham office-the recruitment process is efficient as is the payment.I would have liked to have had a courtesy call or text just to check how first day went-also three texts unreturned.And it wasn’t because of my work-was asked back.Its the small things that make you feel supported-maybe I’ve been spoilt by my other agency😊.

I nearly went bust with my previous agency! Delayed ID processing, huge underpayment, no uplifts, charging me admin fees, skimming off my daily rate, failing to acknowledge my experience and quals, giving me rubbish jobs.

Not only Ben but also every one in the Sheffield branch is so capable and efficient. Tradewind promises you work and actually grants you placements in school. They will always ask you first so you can discuss with them. They are all very nice and friendly, ensuring things are negotiable.

Horrible agency. They call you an hour before the start of your shift and expect you to be ready and out of the house in 10 minutes to work in a school that takes 2 different busses to get to. When I told them that it is impossible for be to be ready in 10 minutes and arrive to the school on time, the two agents who I spoke to on the phone were so rude and passive aggressive towards me. I have never in my life encountered an agency that calls their employee an hour before the start of their shift and tells them to be ready in 10 minutes. 10 minutes is not even enough to have breakfast and brush your teeth! A professional agency informs the employee a couple of days or at the least the night before that they are booked in for a shift. This agency is a joke and I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy.
