Bought an Abarth in June, was left in no doubt they are not interested when payment has been made. Car was released to me with a terrible vibration and the ABS light came on driving home after collecting. Warranty not worth the paper it's written on, rear silencer came adrift, rear box was rotten. Not covered! How it passed it's MOT ? Not even noted as a advisory 2 months earlier. Felt let down as Williams did not want know!

DO NOT DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT buy from this so called family run car company there nothing but cowboys don’t care as long as they got your money William only cares about paying his mortgage and selling or getting rid of over 150 cars a week that us poor people are buying ,you can never speak to William he is the owner the others who answer the phone will tell you this the only way he will reply or answer you is if you mention you want your money back then the phone or emails will come ! You ask to speak to someone you have spoke to before and they say there not available I’ll get them to phone you because I don’t know what your going on about I’m not dealing with it to cut along story short otherwise I will be on here for about two weeks never got my car mot fail getting my car delivered by them a light come on the dash after the mot was supposed to be done they took it to a garage phoned me and told me ask how long don’t know left it and then found out the garage it was at phoned them they told me the turbo had gone need a new one after a week they phoned me we haven’t got time to fix it it’s gone back to Williams I straight away rejected the car this was 3 weeks I had been waiting for my car a joke and Williams wasn’t the one who told me the garage did thanks but no thanks PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE READ THIS DONT BUY I’m now waiting for them to pay the finance back to the finance company so still in the same position I was when I started looking for a car there not helping at all because can’t move on until that is payed I’m disabled so stuck in doors still .😡

PLEASE AVOID THIS COMPANY! For context, the dealership bribe you to leave a good review before even leaving the dealership, in return for ‘extended warranty’, which isn’t worth the paper it’s written on (handler protect, read those reviews too!)

I purchased a car and within a few days, was having to top up the clutch / brake fluid. The clutch is now completely inoperable due to a failed slave cylinder and suspected faulty brake master cylinder (I don’t know anything about cars), which was obviously present at the point of sale. The dealership were extremely unprofessional, argumentaive and unaware (or just ignorant) of the laws surrounding selling goods, partically Statutory Warranty under the 2015 Consumer Rights Act. They were not willing to help, even when I offered to pay the costs for having the vehicle towed to them, which is an hour and a half from where I live. They are not co-operating with the broker either, who have had to arrange and pay for independent inspection themselves as Williams Motor Company have decided to wash their hands, as they’ve already had nearly £12,000 so clearly don’t care. They very rarely answer the phone and when they do, they speak over you or they say that the relevant staff member isn’t available to take the call, convenient. The ‘service’ history they provide with their vehicles is laughable. Just a piece of card which they hand write all the ‘previous’ services in, themselves. I can accept that used cars car incur faults but this was ongoing from the beginning and I have been nothing but fair, giving them the opportunity to rectify.

Please don’t be fooled into making the same mistake that myself and so many others have. A majority, if not all of the good reviews have been written by people who were bribed (like me) to leave a good review in exchange for an extended warranty. I wish I had never got involved with this company, nothing but a bunch of cowboys. 1 star is being generous.

I recently inquired about a vehicle I was interested in purchasing. Initially, I reached out through Auto Trader, where I received a message on my phone and engaged in some back-and-forth communication. They assured me that someone would follow up with me. However, five days passed, and I had yet to receive any contact. I then decided to reach out via their website’s email contact form, but after two days, I still had no response. Finally, I attempted to call them, and after four attempts, I was able to speak with a member of their team.

When I explained that I had inquired about the car over a week ago and had not received any follow-up, they asked for my email address and claimed they had no record of any prior communication. When I questioned which email they were using, they provided a completely different email than the one listed in their automated responses and on their website.

I pointed out that the website referenced an incorrect email address, and the receptionist informed me that it had just been updated. However, as of two weeks later, the email has still not been corrected.

I have followed up multiple times via email with no response. It is puzzling that a company would not prioritize timely communication, especially when trying to make a sale. This entire experience has been frustrating and disappointing. What was supposed to be a hopeful purchase for my first car has instead turned into a waste of time.

Unfortunately, I feel compelled to share this negative experience, as I wouldn't want anyone else to face the same level of poor service.

Do not buy from their company!

I recently viewed a car online with this company with a part exchange option. I provided my part exchange details prior it going to test drive the car.

I took 1/2 day off work & undertook a 100 mile round trip to test drive their car. They assessed & offered a price on my car.

I negotiated on the deal & was twice laughed at my the salesman. It very much felt like he was playing to an audience when I called. Extremely unprofessional.

24 hours of negotiation later we were coming to a deal only to be advised that the seller wasn’t willing to take a part exchange.

A complete waste of my time & money!

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! They are liars, who simply do not care about their customers. Twice I was promised a car to be delivered and each time it did not arrive. I was left without transport to work, they would not return my calls, then stopped answering me when I tried to find out what was happening. They would not refund my money when the car I was trying to buy developed a fault. They are rude, have no idea what they are doing and incompetent. I cannot stress enough for anyone never to buy from these useless, incompetent scammers.

They don’t even deserve the 1 star. Purchased a Peugeot 2008 2021 plate. Was told it would have a service and would be able to collect in a couple of days. Went to pick the car up and within 5 minutes of driving the car the service light came on not quite sure what it was as it’s a new car so continued to drive home (garage is only 25 minutes from where I live). Carried on driving the car started to loose power and when stopped at a junction was juddering, a warning sign came on overheated clutch. Called the dealership and Angela the rudest person I have ever meet said bring it back. Returned the car within half an hour of having it and was told the reason the car is loosing power was that there wasn’t enough petrol in the car. They took the car and had it tested for the faults said it would cost £50 to get it fixed. I was not convinced and asked wouldn’t this have shown up on a service. They said the car had been serviced and these things can happen with a car, can be fine one minute and then issues can just appear. Customer care is so poor and the gentleman was so rude and arrogant I said I wanted to hand the car back. 2 weeks of hell and being lied too chasing them to see if they had let the finance company know which they told me that had and when I called the finance team was told they hadn’t been in touch. Do not use this cowboy company they are just awful

I bought a car at the beginning of February. At the test drive the car needed jump starting, I stipulated at the time the car needs a new battery and was told that before I took it home it would have a new one, in fact the day I picked it up they reiterated that they had put a new battery in, however after a few sluggish mornings and a diagnostic test because I had lots of warning lights come on.....came to find out that the battery has low voltage so causing the eco/stop start to fail etc and that the battery in the vehicle is still the original battery fitted at the factory!! Fuming is not the word! Why lie!!

I really wish I could give zero stars… DO NOT BUY! Trouble from the start, super unhelpful, they do not respond to emails unless chased and phoned numerous times.
Received a car delivery 180 miles from the dealership. Drove round the corner on day of delivery and the noises from under the car were horrific. Drive shaft - gone, leak in turbo whole underside of the car covered in oil, fumes in the car enough to give you a headache just sitting inside, engine management light on, screws and bolts missing under the bonnet and under the car.
Took to a local garage the next morning after delivery to be told it should not have passed its MOT and was not roadworthy….£3,000 to fix.
Richards reaction was “Well it is a second hand car, you will get issues.” The car cost me £12,000 and needed £3,000 worth of work on it.
I rejected the car within 14 days, nearly 7 weeks later I finally received my money back. After a collection which never happened to having to wait a further 2 weeks for collection again, then a further 2 weeks for my money and a returned part exchange which will now not even start. Fully working when it left Devon. A stressful 7 weeks for something that should be a nice experience really was the worst. Zero customer service and second hand cars not even roadworthy.

Upon purchasing the car I'm really disappointed in it,having had it checked over and already having to pay out for
1 front tire under the limit
1 rear tire gauge in the side wall
Needs rear brakes which I don't understand how it's disappeared off the mot as it was an advisory and they haven't been changed
The car pulls heavily to the right
As stated the car only blew hot air which we managed to sort but wires have been cut behind the panel which has a screw missing to hold the panel in so obv is a previous problem
The service should of included a Campbelt change aswell but no proof of this
Obv if I hand the car back I'm losing money already so I'm stuck with it but from a dealership experience and a near 6k car it's a pretty shocking experience
I'm lucky to have people in the industry to help or I would be paying a fortune to fix this

I purchased a car with minimal mileage from Williams Motor company who were initially helpful. The car was supposedly “ready to go” however upon completion of funds being transferred and insurance arranged this proved untrue. I was told they need up to a week to prep the car, this included a service.. an update was promised a couple of days later due to needing a car for work. However, I did not get a call and had to follow up three days later, I was then told the cambelt had snapped during this time and i’d have to look for something else. A refund was requested as a matter of urgency as having a vehicle is crucial to my work and already will have financial implications on me including the insurance arrangements that had been made. Three days later a refund hasn’t even been actioned because the “gaffer is in the Canaries”, whilst knowingly leaving someone without a vehicle to do their job through no fault of their own. What great customer service

I had an incredibly poor experience with Williams Motor Company and would not recommend them to anyone. I purchased a car over the phone, and it was delivered to me after being driven over 250 miles. However, the moment I drove it, I was shocked to find that the gearbox had completely gone;I couldn’t even change gears.

When I called the manager to address this, I was met with blame and condescension. He even asked if I was "using the clutch properly," which was insulting given I’ve been driving for over half my life. The initial response to my upset and frustration was aggressive and rude. It wasn’t until I demanded action that they finally offered me hire cars while my vehicle was repaired.

Things only got worse from there. I was instructed to drop the car at their chosen garage near my location, but the manager told the garage not to contact me - which was absurd considering it’s my car. They eventually located a replacement gearbox, which somehow went missing. The same thing happened with another gearbox. It took 4 weeks, 4 hire cars, and me escalating to the finance company before they even began to resolve the issue properly.

Now, even with the gearbox repaired, further issues have come to light:

1. The main beam doesn’t work because the headlight electrical relay is wired incorrectly.
2. There’s a slow puncture.
3. Interior components have been poorly handled and damaged.

The entire process was riddled with terrible communication, rude staff, and blatant disregard for customer service. While my car is now (finally) functional, the stress and frustration of dealing with Williams Motor Company make it clear I’ll never purchase from them again. They might as well rename themselves 'Wormwood Motor Company'.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS GARAGE! And do not believe the positive reviews. They bribe you to give these in exchange for longer warranty on your car!
I bought a car over the phone from this garage and after purchasing the communication was non existent. I had to keep chasing for updates on when it would be delivered. I was told originally turn around would be a week. My delivery date was a good week and a half later. I was told to expect delivery between 9 and 9:30 and the car didn’t turn up. When I called them I was told they had been calling me since 8am but they had taken my contact number down wrong. However they had my email address as well and made no effort to contact me on that. Apparently they’d got an hour away from me and the wipers wasn’t working so had to turn back. I was then told the car would be with me some point next week. After already having a week with no earnings waiting for the car (self employed driving instructor) this was not an option. The car was booked in for pedals fitted on the Monday and I had a full week of work booked in. The staff were rude, unsympathetic and patronizing. I cancelled the purchase and decided to get a car elsewhere after seeing all the bad reviews on here and after being spoken to and dealt with very badly. I was told I wouldn’t be able to get another car that weekend. Well I got a much better on the very next day privately so they were wrong there too. I managed to get a refund however my deposit which I am owed as I cancelled during the cooling off period has still not been returned to me and I am being completely ignored. I have found many other people that have had issues with this garage and cars from them so do yourself a favor and avoid at all costs!! They also accidentally sent me the log book and said they would process my deposit if I sent photos of this which I did and they have not stuck to their word. I will be going to the motor ombudsman and escaping this further. Cowboys.

I have just bought a Corsa e from this company, they delivered to my home, I found the staff who I spoke with very helpful, the driver who brought the car was very informative and explained how I charge the vehicle and how I drive an automatic. The car is wonderful and the garage have provided me extra warranty as part of the sale. Highly recommend

When I test drove the car I wanted I informed the salesman that there was a noise coming from one of the wheel bearings. I was promised that they would deal with it. After picking up the car it was apparent that they hadn't. There was also a leak in the washer bottle, a smell of fumes in the cabin, a missing wheel nut, a missing ad-blue injector and various other things wrong with it. I had to take it to another garage to get the work done under a warranty and was informed that this car should not have been issued with an MOT at all. I have returned the car and the garage are refusing to give me my money back. Now I have no car and no money to purchase another one.

Fab choice of cars and good customer service. Would recommend.
