Brothers Roderick and Tim are lovely… But "guarantee" not worth the paper it isn't written on!

Brothers Roderick and Tim are lovely lads and a delight to talk to.
Throughout the project they were proactive, politely making and taking suggestions, and taking on board our wishes.
They were respective to our neighbours and we have already recommended them locally.
However, They can be hard to get hold of as are so busy. Indeed we regret to have to report that we have been waiting NINE months for them to return to finish off and put right some failings/shoddy unfinished work, so I won't be able to conclude our critique until the job is finished, but will gladly do so then. In the mean time I cannot honestly recommend them as communication is terrible once they've taken your money.
They clear all waste and left garden clean and tidy.

Competitively priced

Item (bathroom ceiling extractor fan) purchased as was competitively priced. Arrived in a battered insecure box, with screws missing. Item itself was useable so i was able to install it. Fan is noisier than expected from the sales description so that is disappointing. otherwise seems to work ok, 'though not as powerful as the 8 year old one it's replacing.

We’re sorry the box arrived in poor condition and that screws were missing 📦 — that’s clearly not ideal, even if the fan itself was still usable. It’s also disappointing to hear the noise level didn’t match expectations and that it’s not as powerful as the unit it replaced 🔊 Those comparisons are genuinely helpful feedback.

We’re glad it was competitively priced and is working overall, but we understand why parts of the experience fell short. Thanks for flagging all of this so clearly — it helps us improve where it matters

Efficient

Efficient. I purchased first Bristan tap from local Screwfix and then next two mailorder from Screwfix as we liked the first one so much. Had a query and Bristan were able to advise over the phone. Friendly staff but the flexible connecting hoses aren't long enough, especially if replacing existing tap, as with Bristan they start a couple of inches up inside the body of the tap.

Competitive pricing. Able to speak directly to an advisor at local store for recommendations and offers. Good options.
Shame turntable was delivered upside down! But good packaging seems to have saved it. Perhaps packing should have more instructions to courier re transportation.

Very good service

Even though the shoes I ordered on line and collected from Pavers in Highbridge were not suitable, the assistant was so kind and eventually found me a different pair of shoes on display which fitted me better. The staff are always very helpful and go the extra mile.

FAILURE TO REFUND COST OF FAULTY ITEM

I had to return a non-functioning digital thermometer which wasn't cheap, but had been recommended by WHICH? Despite proof of return (by their chosen carrier - EVRI - they have failed to reimburse me. This is tantamount to theft.

Failure to reimburse for returned faulty item.

Unfortunately the WHICH recommended digital contactless thermometer ordered from this company proved faulty upon delivery. We contacted the company who advised us to return it via EVRI. We have done this two and a half weeks ago but the company is denying responsibility for its loss and is failing to provide us with a refund.

Disappointing lack of "SERVICE" and respect of customers by young "management!"

My wife and I have both used Dunelm (Mill) since the 1970s before we knew each other, to furnish our homes, buying all manner of furniture, fixtures and fittings, curtains, household goods etc. Alas no more.
Having purchased a pair of pillows last month that proved disappointingly non supportive we realised that the packet we'd picked up had been placed in the wrong trough in the store. Our fault for not double checking, our loss, charity shop's gain.
Last week returned to store and after testing the display sample pillow purchased another pair of "medium" support pillows, this time checking the Fogarty package label to ensure we'd got the same as the display sample example.
Unwrapped them when we got home. Minimal stuffing in the pillows, no support, fingers even meet in the middle when touched. Faulty product/description.
Therefore we reluctantly returned to the WSM store again (nearly two hour round trip) this morning. Explained situation to pleasant Customer Services girl on check out who summoned a "manager" to authorise a refund.
Alas this jobsworth young manager's "computer says no" negative and non-understanding attitude completely soured our opinion and experience of Dunelm. She refused a refund or exchange or even to compare the product we'd purchased with the display example, and had zero empathy, understanding or even apology.

Disappointing quality/finish

Delivery packaging was bashed. Instructions for assembly were straightforward and manageable for a pensioner on his own. Disappointing to find marks and and crack on the furniture. Drawers not quite symmetrical with each other.

I was not going to post a review as prefer to report positive experiences; However.......

I was not going to post a review, but you will keep emailing me requests for a review so here's my reluctant response :
You should not advertise, or accept orders and take payments for, products you do not stock.
I have been waiting nearly three weeks for an urgent ink cartridge delivery, which I was advised "The estimated dispatch date for your order is 3 – 5 working days."
Draw your own conclusions.
