Totally effing useless!

Totally effing useless. I was told recently by Candle Shack that I had to activate my account. I havent bought anything from them for years and was told they had updated their systems and I had to re-activate my account... which I didn't do. Then, today I get an email asking if I am happy with my order (!? what order? I havent placed an order with them for years!!!) and can I take 30 seconds to rate them on trustpilot!!! yup... sure can Candle Shack.. you're totally effing useless. Happy now?

Dear Dominic,

This has happened as a result of the order import last week.- there is a 7-day delay before review emails are triggered for purchases, and we hadn't considered that these apps would pick up all the imports, as new purchases and send notifications to review. We have turned these off as soon as we realised the error.

Please accept our sincere apologies, as we did not realise that this would happen.

If i could leave less than 1 stars I would...

If i could leave less than 1 stars, I would. My parcel turned up over 3 hours later than my one hour delivery time slot. When I asked the driver the reason for the delay, he simply said "It's raining isnt it?". Well done DPD local. Id rather take a cheese grater to my scrotum that use your services ever again!!!

Bunch of incompetent clowns!

Recently bought several lengths of what I thought was 32mm PVC pipe as that's what they were labeled. Got them back to the site only to find they were 36mm pipes that had been mislabelled. Obviously, all the connectors I bought (32mm connectors) would not fit. Cant return anything as currently have no transport and my nearest Wickes is on the other side of Manchester! AVOID THESE CLOWNS!

Simply straight-forward!

Simply straight-forward!

Couldn't be simpler to both set up an account and use the account. I use mine through Google Pay. Simply open the app and point your phone at the card reader.

Also very easy to use online.

Utter Rubbish Service! - as usual from DPD

Utter Rubbish Service!
Why do these people think this is acceptable? I got an email last night telling me my dpd parcel would be delivered today, so I took a day out of my annual leave to wait at the office for my parcel. At 3:30 pm I still hadn't heard from dpd or received a time slot for my delivery so I decided to check online where my parcel was... only to be told it was on its way to my local depot and was due for delivery the following day. Doesn't this constitute a breach of their own written contract? initially telling me they would deliver the parcel today. Someone needs to start a test case against these clowns... and if it was successful, can you imagine how much money they would lose when everyone else sued them for breach of contract (minimum)

No-one frm DPD ever did contact me about this or any other issue I have had with them... typical DPD BS if you ask me

Good but not 'green' enough

The service in itself is excellent, however, of late, they have started including other companies' junk mail-outs in with my orders. Junk mail is one of the big issues for this planet, the oceans and global warming! According to ocaenfutures.org...
- More than 100 million trees are destroyed each year to produce junk mail.
- 42% of timber harvested becomes pulpwood for paper.
- The world’s temperate forests absorb 2 billion tons of carbon annually.
- Creating and shipping junk mail produces more greenhouse gas emissions than 9 million cars.
And for a company that claims to be trying to be 'greener'... this really isnt acceptable.
- About 28 billion gallons of water are wasted to produce and recycle junk mail each year.

Totally misleading! AVOID!

First of all, the images on the eflorist website are VERY MISLEADING. I ordered a 'standard' hedgerow bouquet, that, on their website looked more than twice as big as the bouquet that actually arrived! I dont mind paying more for same day delivery. I do mind paying over the odds for a piddly little bouquet that is less than half the size of the 'standard' bouquet shown on the website!

Secondly, less than a week later, and despite being in water, the bouquet is already dead!

Total waste of money. AVOID!

"Amazon really are sh*te in Manchester

"Amazon really are sh*te in Manchester. Their drivers think its acceptable to dump your parcels at the end of a busy corridor. To them, thats classed as delivered!

And when things go missing, as they would when your items are dumped and not delivered, you are told its going to take 5 business days to investigate why they went missing.

And when you explain you put a sign on your door asking for your parcels to be left in your safe place... youre then told
"Oh we dont follow instructions like that any more!"
And then they ask you if you want the items replacing or a refund, and you chose 'replacing' you get an email saying your refund is going to take 5-7 business days to appear on your account!

FFS. Hermes are better than these clowns"

A full day late and no apology!

They delivered my item a day late (a full day after the item was needed) and nobody had the common decency to notify me on the actual day the item was supposed to be delivered that there was going to be any kind of delay! And when the driver did deliver my item... not even any kind of apology for it being late!
Avoid these clowns!

Total and utter rubbish company

I have recently opened an account with these clowns. I have followed their precise instructions regarding adding a payment type to my account. They have taken the verification amount and refunded it. Yet I cannot use the account as it still asks me to add a payment method! I retried to add my bank details but their system says I can't because they are already in their system!

I have sent several support messages to their support center over the last few weeks about this issue... not one of them has been answered!

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!

Avoid at all costs.

Avoid at all costs.. far too many projects vanish without trace, taking your money with them. I will NEVER back another project on Kickstarter. There's no point. Kickstarter dont give a toss if you get your reward or not.

Terrible service

Terrible service! DX delivered my item an entire day early (my email from the supplier said it would be delivered on Friday 18th... DX delivered it on Thursday 17th!!!) when I wasn't at home. They then decided they were going to just dump the freezer (my item) in the unmanned foyer of the tower block I live in. Luckily a neighbour took the item into their home for me, otherwise, there would have been a high probability that the freezer would have been stolen. Thanks DX Delivery (not!)

Tonic Studios... what a let down!

I have placed several orders with Tonic Studios over the years. The vast majority of them have been wrong when they've been delivered. Many times I've tried to call them. I think out of the many calls I have made they have only ever been bothered to answer the phone once! Orders have arrived with parts of the order missing, or with incorrect items. On several occasions, the original package has not even turned up and Tonic has sent out new packages. On other occasions, it has taken them an unacceptable amount of time to even dispatch some of my orders. They just don't seem to give a damn about getting orders right in the first place. Which is a shame as Tonic used to be my go-to craft brand. I won't be buying from them again in the future.

*UPDATE*
And so much for learning from reviews... I placed an order for some more Tonic products through Create and Craft (fulfilled by Tonic Studios) on 6th April... low and behold on 20th April they still hadnt arrived. I cancelled the order and will NEVER buy this rubbish companies products again in the future... and dont you dare say 'there are currently delays with the post' because items I ordered from C&C after I ordered these Tonics dies, have arrived a lot quicker... also dies I ordered from another company on Friday 17th April, arrived this morning (20th), so if they can do it... why can't Tonic Studios? It simply appears they dont give a crap about customers... they only care about getting your money.
