Theres a very good reason why I have been with Start Rescue for so long. I cannot find better service anywhere else. The prices are always amazing for the cover and their customer services team are second to none.

AVOID

AVOID! On Sat 28th February, I placed an order for some food. They delivered completely the wrong roder so I had to reorder and claim my money back. I put in the claim and a couple of days later got an email back from them saying they had applied the money as an account credit on Just Eat. They didnt offer me any other kind of refund.

I have been lead to believe (mainly by my bank) that they should have applied the refund to my original payment method in order to not fall foul of Money Laundering or Consumer Protection Rules. They are refusing to do this! Trading Standards... here we come!

I tried contacting Just Eat on their chatbot today about the issue but all their chatbot kept telling me was they can only deal with orders from the last 24 hours!, so I emailed them... several times. The only response I kept getting back was 'We've already applied the credit to your account and cannot remove it'.

DO NOT SPEND ANY MONEY WITH THESE PEOPLE. If something goes wrong you might not get your money back!

Animal Trust Failsworth... Simply the best. Never had any issues with them. Excellent staff, excellent vets. I wont take my pets anywhere else... oh, and they have their own out of hours service, they don't refer you to a massively overpriced out of hours service

Just bought what was supposed to be a…

Just bought what was supposed to be a UVC Sterilisation Lamp for my toilet. The device arrived and I tested it with a UV test kit. Surprise Surprise, the lamp only gives out purple coloured light... NO UV or UVC at all! I complained to Temu about it and their system initially, very kindly offered me the following resolution. I could keep the item and they would give me a partial refnd of... wait for it... 69p! yup sixty nine pence. lol

UPDATE: since filing this review, TEMU have contacted me saying they will refund the money for this order, but, they are doing so as a 'special exception'... so, basically, TEMU are selling fraudulent items that are not fit for purpose... and when you complain about it, they will refund your money but as a 'special exception'. Surely if the items they are selling are fraudulent and not fit for purpose, they should be refunding my money as 'parr for the course'.

I wont be buying anything from these fraudsters again!

Absolute Rip-off!

Absolute Rip-off!

I just got my renewal quote from these clowns! First of all they are asking for over £1000 for an annual car insurance policy.

Then they have doubled the Insurance arrangement fee from last year (about £50 last year) to just under £100 this year.

Then they had my excess up at £495!

Then, I found out, if you need to make ANY changes to your policy during the following 12 months, they charge £50 per amendment!

So, clearly I have gone elsewhere through go.compare. Much cheaper insurance cost for MUCH better cover. Amendments cost £19.50 (max) with the company I have gone with (I wont name them here becasue this is a review of Vavista and Somerset Bridge Insurance Services Ltd . My new cover includes a courtesy car, windscreen cover and everything you would want under insurance as a car driver... none of these things were included with Vavista.

I asked Vavista if there were any discounts to be had. The operator went away, and came back and said Congratulations. My manager has said you qualify for the absolute maximum discount of... wait for it... £50! (Fifty Pounds for the avoidance of doubt).

I will NEVER insure anything through these rip-off merchants (in my humble opinion) and I don't think anyone else should either!

Absolute joke of a site

Absolute joke of a site. They are happy to take your money off you to become a 'Site Supporter' but when something goes wrong and you need their help, they dont care and dont get back to you.

I have an issue with the 'My Current Status; box on their site. For some reason, it doesn't work for me. Anything I try and type in that box just vanishes and doesnt appear on site. I have emailed them (Winchester Consulting who run the site), I have sent many support tickets about the problem and they just cant be bothered to get back to me. When I submit support tickets (or try to contact them via their support pages) I get a message on screebn telling me my message has been sent to them but thats it,. No response... ever! and the issue is never fixed.

Sadly I can only give this company a 1 star review. I went into their Manchester store to buy some of their amazing cakes. There wer no signs up in store (not prominent and not that I could see anywhere!!!) letting customers know this next bit... which is why I can only give a 1 star review. They do not accept cash! W the actual F? I ONLY carry cash on me... I guess theyve lost me as a potential customer... and if they've lost me, they've probably have lost a load more customers. Most people I know prefer to pay by cash... also, the store would lose less money to banking charges if they did accept cash. Oh Well! There are plenty of other cake shops that do accept cash in the Manchester area.

If i could leave zero stars I would!
I subscribed to a creator on Patreon. I paid a year in advance as I really liked that artists style. I never received anything from that creator and Patreon refused to give me a refund so I contacted Paypal about it as I had paid through them. They refused to do anything about it either so I am over £200 down and both Patreon and Paypal refuse to do anything about it!

Dreadful Service!

Dreadful Service!
Several times I have tried to book into the lounges at Manchester Airport. Several times I get a message on the app telling me the lounges are all full (this is booking the lounges 11 months in advance), so I phone Priority Pass and they tell me, all the lounges at Manchester Airport are off limits (cannot be booked) until further notice.... Whats the point of even having a PP membership? I live in Manchester but cannot use ANY of the lounges at Manchester Airport!!! They (PP) cannot tell me why the lounges at Manchester Airport cannot be booked until further notice.

This is a pointless service offered by a pointless business!

AVOID!

UPDATE AFTER Priority Pass Response:~
I live in Manchester and fly from Manchester. If youre not booking lounges in Manchester until further notice, your service is clearly NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE. Luckily my PP Membership was free for the first year with my credit card. I wont pay ridiculously high fees for a service that I cannot use, so, I have cancelled my membership

Lin and all the team at LaserPecker…

Lin and all the team at LaserPecker really can't seem to do enough for their customers.

I had an issue with their LP5 laser head unit. I simply contacted Lin and the crew at LaserPecker via email. They got back to me very quickly, suggesting things I might have forgotten to do etc in order to get the LP5 working again. Unfortunately nothing worked. I told Laserpecker this and without hesitation they initiated a warranty exchange. The entire process was very quick and very easy.

I wholeheartedly recommend LaserPecker to anyone looking to get into the laser engraving/cutting scene. Their products are incredibly robust (I have already bought the LP5, the safety enclosure for the LP5 and their big LX2 flatbed machine) and their customer service seems to be second to none. Totally amazed and happy with LaserPecker, their products and the speed and efficiency of their Customer Service department.

Absolute Rubbish

Absolute Rubbish! I have tried scanning my driver's license many, MANY times, and each time it comes back as "We couldn't verify your driver's license" The image is clear, not blurred, no glare, nothing, and this dogshit app still can't verify it! I'm NOT uploading my passport details, so it's either Drivers License or Yoti can f00k right off!

Coke Zero - WTF!

I used to love Coke Zero. I much preferred it over Pepsi Max. However, when they changed the recipe it kind of went south. I recently tried a Coke Zero. Oddly, it tastes... how do I put this?.... Hollow! Empty! Sadly, as a diabetic, I cannot drink sodas with sugar in them and, as said before, I used to LOVE Coke Zero. Sadly, now, I will only drink Pepsi Max as it has full flavour and no sugar. Sorry Coca-Cola. You made changes... and sadly, they were for the worse!

Possibly a FRAUD site!

I recently subscribed to one of their creators pages. I love the artwork they create so paid a year in advance ($239.76). After I had paid this money it became clear that the creator in question hasnt been active on Patreon for over 6 months.

I contacted Patreon about this, and they told me I had to contact the creator for a refund. I sent the creator a message and received absolutely no response back.

I contacted Patreon again about it and they are refusing point blank to do anything about it. They keep telling me that its only the creator that can issue a refund and they wont get involved in that decision.

So what is it called when a company such as Patreon take a large sum of money off you for a creator that isnt active on their site, then refuse, point blank, to do anything about it... in my book that's FRAUD!

I am now looking into filing a fraud report against them with the San Francisco Police Department as that is where Patreon is based.

But AVOID Patreon like the plague. I feel terrible about saying that as there are many wonderful creators on there... however, when things go wrong, Patreon wash their hands of the situation!

Yet more lies!

They claim to have tried delivering my latest Temu parcel several times and there was no one here to accept the delivery, or they claim they couldnt deliver my parcel... this is total BS as my delivery address is an office complex. Even the receptionist can accept parcels for me... so when they say they couldn't deliver or there was no one here... LIES!

They are worse than EVRI, and EVRI were featured on BBC TV's 'Rip Off Birtain'!!!

As a business owner, I would NEVER entrust these clowns to deliver anything on behalf of my company!

Yet again Relay think its acceptable to…

Yet again Relay think its acceptable to lie about delivery fails. My parcel should have been delivered by 4th October. Relay tracking information claims they have made several attempts to deliver it. They havent.

My delivery address is an office complex. My office is on the ground floor, right next to the main entrance to the building, so if they had tried to deliver, they would have been successful.

The fact that they claim they have tried to deliver several times and haven't been successful is total BS. The times they claim to have attempted delivery during the day, I have been here. I also have colleagues in the office who are here much, much later in the evening, so again, if Relay had actually attempted delivery, they would have been successful.

Relay is even worse at deliveries than EVRI, and that's saying something.

Any business that uses them for deliveries clearly doesn't give a toss about their customers or their deliveries.

Not only are their products exceptional…

Not only are their products exceptional (well designed, well built, substantial, excellent quality), but their customer services department is on point too (Thank you Camille ;-)). I had several questions about the LaserPecker LP5 I purchased. All questions were answered quickly and professionally via their chat service on their website. I have every faith in LaserPecker being able to sort any further issues out in an equally quick and professional manner. I have no worries about contacting them with issues.

And becasue their customer services department are so on top of things, I have no quarms about purchasing other LaserPecker products going forward.

Dreadful delivery company

Dreadful delivery company. Getting as bad as EVRI these days. On Monday 20th Oct 2025, I was awaiting a parcel (which STILL hasnt been delivered - DPD now claim they cannot find it!!!). I was following the package on their tracking page. Then, all of a sudden' Sorry we missed you!' huh? The guy (Mark) hadnt even bothered to attempt a delivery before he marked it down as 'no one here to sign for the package'. This was total BS. My delivery address is an office block. My office is on the ground floor, right next to the main entrance, so I can see when anyone tries to make a delivery here. Also, added to that fact, the main reception staff here can sign for packages! Anyway I asked them to redeliver my parcel to the DPD Pick Up point. I got a message saying it would be deliverd there the following day. It wasnt. I then got a message saying it would be delivered the day after that. It wasnt! I rang up to complain. It was then they told me they couldnt find the package anymore!!!

I then registered an official complaint (or at least I asked them to register a complaint). The guy I spoke to in customer service went away for a minute or so. When he came back he said he had registered my official complaint. However, I had to ask for the case reference number. He went away again for a few seconds then came back and it sounded like he was just reeling off some random numbers. I asked him when someone would get back to me about my complaint, to which I was told "Oh! no one will get back to you about it as it will be an internal investigation!.

DPD UK are dreadful (mind you, most delivery companies in the UK are now dreadful). I would wholeheartedly suggest you dont use this company as they clearly dont give a damn about getting your parcels delivered to you or to the place they are addressed to!

To be fair...

To be fair, I was very sceptial about the retro snap before it arrived. Im very sceptical about most ads on facebook these days. However, when it arrived I was so pleasantly surprised.

The device itself is a little on the small size BUT the version I bought has 40,000... yes, FORTY THOUSAND games included. As a 56 year old man, I am most certainly reliving my youth through this device. It has all the classic arcade and console games. Many I have heard of or played in the arcades of old and many that I havent heard of before. I look forward to rediscovering my past favourites and also finding some new favourites
