Absolutely abysmal experience
Where do I start?
AnPost have a habbit of not delivering your parcel and saying they did, just so you have to go to the parcel center and pick it up yourself, which kind of defeats the purpose of their entire existence I guess.
They said they attempted delivery on the 23rd of December at 10:46 AM. Well, that can't be possible as I work Mon-Fri from home and the doorbell didn't ring once.
Regardless, I bite the bullet and go in to the parcel center in Ravensdale Road on the 2nd of January just about after 5PM local time to pick it up.
After wasting half an hour waiting for the clerk trying to find it, he eventually comes back saying it's not there, although the tracker says otherwise. Was told the matter will require an investigation. Said he will raise an enquiry on his end. He asked for my contact details and I left.
When I arrived home, I also raised an enquiry myself using the AnPost website just to be on the safe side. After filling up the enquiry form, it said the information will also be sent to my email. It has not, SPAM is empty too. As always, misleading the customer.
On the morning of the 3rd of January I got in touch with them via WhatsApp and I managed to have a chat with a customer support representative.
What did he say? Well, apparently neither the adressee (me in this case) or the post office clerk can raise an enquiry request, although the website ALLOWS for it. Said it's a different enquiry and that only the sender can raise a request.
I contacted the seller and asked them to get in touch with DHL so they raise a claim as dealing with AnPost directly did absolutely nothing. The status on their tracker still hasn't been updated, despite me going in physically, unable to retrieve the missing package and notifying them of the issue.
If you can manage, NEVER use AnPost. Absolute garbage.
Oh, and this always happens. I've had over 50 deliveries done in the past 3 years with 0 issues, but the 5 that AnPost had to deliver always ended with me picking it up myself. What does that tell you?

A couple of issues here. No accountability by AnPost whatsoever. No sense of urgency. Matter has been raised for a day, no updates on their end yet. Customer support representatives just tells you to fu** off in a nice way, 0 help with the issue. Why didn't they raise a support case themselves while having me on the line? Exactly.
Also, it's state owned, I can't believe I'm about to subsidize DHL's claims out of my own pocket. Insanity. Just scrap AnPost. Waste of taxpayer money.
