Rezerwowałam już kilkanaście razy jachty przez Boataround - jako Stowarzyszenie Żeglarskie zawsze jesteśmy w pełni zadowoleni. Temat wyboru jachtów to jedno, bo tu trzeba juz wiedzieć co wybierać, ale jeśli chodzi o przejrzystość i obsługę to jest to w BA na mega poziomie! Tym razem temat rezerwacji dwóch jachtów dogrywam z Francesco i wszystko jest prima classe - Tutto perfetto..:)

I booked a Bali 4.6 | Secret Deal (2023) around a year in advance for a two-week charter in Athens. The booking was confirmed, I had a boarding pass for the Bali 4.6, and the full price of EUR 12,869 was paid.
Shortly before departure I was told the yacht was unavailable. I was then informed that the “Secret Deal” yacht was essentially only a sample/example yacht. After many emails and calls, a replacement was finally arranged.
Based on my experience, I would strongly advise against booking a Secret Deal. After my case, I found several other public reviews describing a very similar pattern: confirmed yacht, later unavailable, followed by less suitable or much more expensive alternatives. I cannot know what happens internally, but to me this looks like a recurring pattern.
Unfortunately, the replacement yacht also had major technical problems. A defective starboard winch, a badly worn mainsail outhaul and other issues led to several unsuccessful technician visits. We estimate that about three sailing days of our two-week charter were substantially affected or lost.
After the charter, instead of the discussed compensation, I was accused of causing major damage to the in-mast furling system. I strongly dispute this. The mainsail furling system worked normally during our charter. Our checkout was on 12 September, while the technical report blaming us is dated 25 September, after the yacht had already been chartered again.
Navigare’s own checkout document says “Rig: OK” and “No issues”.
Even more seriously, the checkout document later sent to me contains a Guest Signature that is not mine. I had deliberately refused to sign the checkout because it included a waiver of further claims.
The matter is still unresolved and has been reported to my charter insurer.
Some Boataround employees did try to help, but overall this was a very disappointing experience for a booking of this value.

Mi è successa un’esperienza simile a quella recensita da Maurizio il 14 agosto 2026. A luglio prenoto sul sito Boataround un Dufour 382 per navigare dal 27 settembre nel golfo di Cagliari. Prenotazione confermata da Boataround, quindi procedo subito al pagamento dell’acconto, e a settembre verso il saldo. Compilo anche la lista dell’equipaggio, su invito di Boataround del 12 settembre. Come coloro che hanno già avuto esperienza con Boataround sono ahimè consapevole che questa lista non sarà mai consegnata al charter, e quindi la dovrò ricompilare in loco. Vabbè. Il 23 settembre, ovviamente con voli già prenotati da parte di tutti i membri dell’equipaggio, ricevo una sconcertante mail di Boataround dove mi informano che la barca non è più disponibile, e mi offrono ben quattro succulente alternative, una peggio dell’altra. Scelgo la meno peggio, che comunque è una barca parecchio più grande e decisamente più vecchia di quella prescelta. Chiamo direttamente il charter di Cagliari, che mi spiega di aver immediatamente risposto a Boataround già a luglio che la barca non era disponibile. Mi sono fatto inoltrare la mail. Dunque, Boataround mi ha venduto, e io ho pagato, una barca che loro stessi sapevano da subito non essere disponibile. Vabbè. Vi risparmio il tempo perso tra telefonate e email con Boataround. Incasso comunque la rassicurazione, ovvia, che quanto da me già versato sarebbe stato utilizzato per il pagamento della barca sostitutiva, e la differenza (a mio favore vista la minor qualità della barca sostitutiva) immediatamente a me rimborsata. Non è successo nulla di tutto questo. Il charter mi chiama dicendomi che non hanno ricevuto il pagamento da Boataround, e mi chiede di provvedere io al pagamento. Nei prossimi giorni presenterò una denuncia per truffa, tanto per perdere ancora un po’ di tempo su questa vicenda. Morale: 1. Non prenoterò mai più tramite Boataround alcuna imbarcazione; 2. Le prossime prenotazioni le farò con il ben più affidabile Filovent, oppure prenderò da Boataround direttamente i riferimenti del charter che noleggia la barca che mi interessa, così evito sorprese

In September 2025 I booked and paid in full for a Bavaria Cruiser 46 sailboat, Secret Deal offer. A month before boarding, I called to ask if the sailboat I paid for was OK. This boat doesn't even exist, offering me an offer for a similar sailboat but I have to pay a difference of 2500 euros. If I don't like it, they will refund the amount initially paid. On this occasion, I give up Boataround services because I was knowingly fooled.

Start to finish everything was great! Communication was excellent.

Our boat got cancelled 3 days before the start of our trip. Due to the charter company who cancelled at Boataround, not of their fault. They where of great help to find a new boat and public transport etc... So afyer some stressful days, 1 day before the trip we got provide a new boat.

But the day itself we recei all call that our new boat got cancelled too because Boataround didn't confirmed with tje charter company. With the remark that finding a boat within our price range will be difficult. The day after we should normally got on board Boataround found a new boat 300€ more expansive. After some discussion we still had to pay 200€ extra.

Disappointing and we are not sure we will book again with Boataround.
If you rent a boat you expect to have it when you arrive and not need to book last minute hotels and car rental.

I was very satisfied with Boateraund. Everything went exactly as agreed and without any problems. I also really appreciated their approach — they even managed to negotiate a discount with the charter company, which was a very pleasant surprise. Overall, a great experience, and I can definitely recommend Boateraund.

Niet de zorgeloze ervaring die ik had verwacht

Afgelopen week heb ik via Boataround een 42-voet catamaran gehuurd op Mallorca, vanuit Porto Colom. Helaas ben ik over mijn ervaring niet erg tevreden. Sterker nog: ik heb uiteindelijk meer stress en gedoe ervaren door Boataround dan plezier gehad van hun dienstverlening.

Het probleem begon met de zogenaamde Secret Deal. Deze deal werd gepresenteerd als een aantrekkelijke combinatie van prijs en kwaliteit, waarbij ook zaken als type, grootte en bouwjaar van de boot onderdeel waren van de verwachting. In mijn geval bleek Boataround dit uiteindelijk niet waar te kunnen maken. Mijn indruk is dat het concept in de praktijk vooral neerkomt op een last-minute zoektocht: in de hoop dat er op het laatste moment nog een geschikte boot gevonden kan worden.

Bij mij lukte dat niet. Uiteindelijk moest ik zelf alles uit de kast halen om een boot te vinden die aan mijn wensen voldeed. Een eventuele meerprijs kwam daarbij voor mijn rekening. Ook de beloofde extra's, zoals een buitenboordmotor en SUP-board, bleken niet bij de boot aanwezig. Het SUP-board heb ik uiteindelijk zelf moeten betalen.

Positief is dat Boataround goed bereikbaar was en snel reageerde. Dat waardeer ik. Helaas was dat eigenlijk ook het enige duidelijke pluspunt in mijn ervaring.

Als Boataround doet wat het belooft en alleen belooft wat het daadwerkelijk kan waarmaken, kan het naar mijn mening een prima organisatie zijn. De website is bovendien handig om snel het aanbod en de prijzen van verschillende boten met elkaar te vergelijken.

Maar juist omdat ik geen last-minute stress wilde, heb ik voor Boataround gekozen. Uiteindelijk kreeg ik die stress juist wel. Last-minute boeken kan ik zelf ook.

Daarnaast zou ik voortaan terughoudend zijn met het betalen van grotere bedragen aan een partij als Boataround wanneer het geld niet direct wordt doorbetaald aan de uiteindelijke verhuurder. Dat brengt naar mijn mening extra risico en onzekerheid met zich mee.

Gelukkig heeft Boataround inmiddels het te veel betaalde bedrag teruggestort. De kosten voor het zelf regelen van het SUP-board zijn echter wel voor mijn rekening gebleven.

Mijn conclusie:
een handige website om vraag en aanbod snel te vergelijken, maar voor mij voortaan liever rechtstreeks bij de verhuurder. Dan weet ik beter waar ik aan toe ben en voorkom ik negatieve verrassingen.
