Very disappointing experience
Very disappointing experience â unexpected customs charges were not clearly communicated, my parcel was returned without delivery, and I was left waiting with no proper resolution.
The same product was previously ordered in a smaller quantity and was delivered without any additional charges. I was also receiving the same product from a different vendor without any extra charges. However, this was my mistake, as they did not have stock available, and I had to rely on Direct Sports this time.

Total shambles! Initial order arrived quickly but unfortunately shoes were too small so I arranged an exchange immediately and posted back. They took ages to confirm receipt of my return even though I could see from
Royal Mail tracking it had reached them. Then apparently dispatched me a new pair but these never got past the âweâre awaiting your parcelâ stage witj Royal Mail suggesting they were never actually sent! Made me wait a full 10 working days before they would do anything about it âin case there was a delay at Royal Mailâ. Poor service throughout and a complete waste of time ordering from this company. I finally got a refund on 18/02 for something I ordered on 21/01. Nearly a month and Iâve still now got to go and buy shoes elsewhere!!!

I ordered a pair of Yonex badminton shoes. Unfortunately they were too small. The bigger size was not in stock. I phoned and was able to send the Yonex ones back and exchange for a pair of Babolat shoes. They were also too small, but I was able to exchange for a larger size. There was no extra charge for the postage as it was an exchange each time. New shoes are really good. Always great service from this company.

No resolution after three weeks of lost parcel

My parcel was marked as delivered, but the delivery photo shows it left unattended outside in an unsecured location. I did not authorise a safe-place delivery and was at work at the time.
Despite raising this promptly, I have now been waiting over three weeks with no resolution. I have been repeatedly asked to wait for the courier to investigate, with no refund, replacement, or clear timeline provided.
Responsibility has been implied to rest with me for not selecting optional delivery alternatives. These are not mandatory, and under consumer law the seller remains responsible until delivery is completed correctly. I am still out of pocket for an item I did not receive and remain awaiting resolution.

New Badminton Racquet and Shoes
Great website and very quick delivery. I did need to exchange one of the items (badminton shoes) for a larger size, but this was a simple process and did not take too long. The website did advise that I should consider ordering a larger size of shoe, but I ignored the advice and ultimately needed an exchange. This was for the Yonex 65 shoe. I am normally a size UK10, but in needed a UK10.5 and they are still a snug fit.

Wrong string tension
The rackets were delivered on time, but I specifically requested them to be strung at 28 lbs. Both arrived strung at around 22 lbs, forcing me to pay out of pocket to have them restrung, even though stringing was supposed to be included in the price. To make matters worse, when I contacted customer service, they sent me a photo of the machine set to 28 lbs as âproofâ, as if that somehow proves the rackets I received were actually strung at that tension

We record the settings of the machines for every order to provide reassurance that all orders are completed correctly and it would be of no interest to us to complete a restring to any other specification than requested. For your case we did offer the option to have your racket reassessed by our stringing team however as you did not wish to send the racket back to us, we were not able to arrange this for you.
