We rented a car with 2rent azores in Punta Delgada (Portugal). We did It through Rastreator and Rentalcars. 2rent is part of Hertz.
A deposit of €500 and was paid. The car suffered a little impact in the back leftside while parking and we informed the people at the Hertz Office when the car was returned. Before that we asked to local mechanics about how much would it cost and they told us It would be about €250.
People from the Hertz Office told us that some one would Contact us by either email or phone to tell us about the price. We had a CDW which covers collisions and reading the contract the maximum to pay was €500 of the deposit. Nevertheless, no one has contacted us after almost a month, and they hace made a charge in the card associated of €1898,58 (plus the deposit of €500 It is almost €2400) which is totally disproporcionate, out if contract, and with bad faith as they have not sent us any bill or email with an explanaition.
After two days calling to the phone number they give in their website, no one answered, neither to the contact email or to the website contact.
NEVER RENT A CAR WITH 2rent azores.
As 2rent is part of Hertz, I'll never trust this one either.
Oreda och svårt att få svar, otydliga regler och mängder av undantag i det finstilta, exempelvis att om du får en punktering (ej orsakad av oaktsamhet) så får du själv betala tusentals kronor. När bilen fick punktering skickades vi till Volvo service som hänvisade till Hertz som hänvisade till Volvo, osv... Exakt ett sådant företag som man vill undvika.
Gjorde en bokning på en bil på Hertz hemsida och hämtade ut den i Bettorp i Örebro. Under hela processen så tycker jag att servicen har varit urusel. På alla frågor om kontrakt/kvitto fick jag svaret "Det kommer på mail". Jag har inte fått mail på några kvitton eller hyreskontraktet.
Tre dagar efter att jag lämnade tillbaka bilen fick jag ett mail med en fakturaspecifikation om att de dragit 420 kr extra från mitt kort.
När jag ringde upp så kunde de ej hjälpa mig men skulle ringa upp senare. Jag var inte nöjd så jag ringde upp igen och fick prata med David. Han lovade att kolla upp och återkomma.
De visar sig att de dragit 420 kr från mitt kreditkort på grund av "skaderiskeliminering", något jag hävdade att jag inte lagt till.
När jag återupprepade gånger ber om att få se kontraktet jag skrev under så ber dom att få återkomma. När de återkommer bekräftar de mina uppgifter om att jag inte skrivit under för det.
De har ingen rimlig förklaring om varför detta uppstått, varför de dragit 420 kronor extra från mig, flera dagar efter återlämnad bil. David säger tillslut att detta ska korrigeras och att ett nytt kvitto ska skickas till min mail.

We left the Hertz rental car early in Seattle airport. We did not fill it up with gas, but had plenty of time to do so. The Herts staff offered to fill 20 USD gas for 40 USD. We accepted the offer from the Hertz representative. When we received the receipt on e-mail we immediately saw that they had charged us 100 USD instead of their offered 40 USD. Directly on landing in Florida we tried to fix the error at the Hertz office at the arriving airport - this was not possible. I then contacted Hertz USA customer service online but they did not answer the request that I had written using Hertz own web form. I repeated the request again but did not get any response this time either. I then filled in the questionnaire about my rental experience which made Hertz Sweden react. However they were unable to explain the situation to Hertz USA.
In summary - Hertz has a global network of offices at airports, local representation in countries, and customer service on the web - to absolutely no use when they failed us. I immediately got back to Hertz and followed it up on repeated occasions with absolutely no intelligent feedback. Had they acted and asked the Hertz staff that offered to fill our tank for 40 USD she would have confirmed, but since there global network of customer contacts were unable to do ANYTHING Hertz left their error to the customer.
Rented an electric car (Renault Zoe) from the LUND Office (Västra Stationstorget). 1,5hours drive later charging was due in Halmstad but unsuccessful. The prompter on the car said “charging impossible”. We tested three different charging station before calling customer service. After 30min wait we were told a car would come pick us up immediately with a new car. We waited for 1,5hours for that car, but it came without a replacement car. Instead the driver wanted to take us 1hours drive in the opposite direction - Ängelholm - which we naturally refused. Another 30minute in customer service later, the Norwegian Hertz office calls confirming no replacement car was on its way. By that time charging had miraculously started working and 7hours later (and two dubious charges later) we were at our final destination at Lysekil. (Being 5hours late we missed the party we were invited to) Hertz customer service understood the unreliability of Renault Zoe’s car and therefor promised us that upon our return we would have a new car waiting in Gothenburg (Nordstan). Once there, they had no car for us- claiming that it was on Hertz Lund to solve (so much for one brand, one company). Another hour of worthless detour. In total we have spent 13hours driving/charging/waiting what should have taken 6hours, alternatively 7hours in public transport. The issue we had with the Renault Zoe is apparently known and a vibrant online community is sharing frustrations over its unreliability to charge. Yet Hertz takes the risk and rents out this car to its customers. In this case ruining a weekend get away for 5 people. I CANT POSSIBLY RECOMMEND HERTZ TO ANYONE.

När vi flyger till Sthlm hämtar och lämnar vi på Bromma, de har fin service. Verkstaden i Kungsbacka erbjuder Hertz som hyrebil när man lämnat in bilen. Skönt att veta att bilen står klar när man har bråttom till jobbet. Nöjd kund både privat och via arbetet.

Me obligaron a contratar dos seguros a pesar de haber demostrado que mi tarjeta de crédito tenía ambos seguros activos y me dijeron "en caso no contrate los seguros con nosotros tiene que dejar una garantía de US$12,000 Dólares!!!! absurdo, el coche me que dieron no valía esa cantidad".
Aparte de ello, cuando devolví el coche tenía un cuarto de tanque más de gasolina y quise que me reconocieran ese dinero y me dijeron que como lo estaba entregando sucio (lo normal por el uso) el dinero de gasolina extra se compensaba con la limpieza...increible!!! No lo recomiendo.
joined the queue at the reception area in Johannesburg airport, it took 1 hour before they sent me up to the car collection point where they told me I would have a 15 to 20 minute wait, this turned into a 90 minute wait. so just to recap to get my car which I pre booked months before it took me a total of 150 minutes. no problem dropping off my car but as I walked past the car collection point I saw the office was full of people waiting to collect their cars, seems to be standard practice that your going to wait a very long time to collect your car.
We rented cars from several different companies during a month-long trip to Germany and Sweden. Our ONLY problem was with Hertz, Master Samuelsgatan 71, in Stockholm.
When we returned the car, there was no one there to check it in. You drive through a set of bright lights and they take pictures. We did not see any damage to the car, so imagine our surprise a few days later when we get a text stating that a) the back bumper had a black mark on it and b) the front license plate was bent. Both were items we would have fixed ourselves in 5 minutes had we noticed either.
The next surprise came when they informed us that they would be charging us $928 for the "repairs"!!!!! They said the car needed to be taken out of service for several days in order to fix it. We were SHOCKED!!
We have tried taking this up with their office and also with our credit card company. The bottom line is that apparently the rental agency "reserves the right" to charge for "damages" - even if the contract was only in Swedish and you have no idea what you're signing.
We will NOT rent from Hertz ever again - domestic or foreign.
Rented a car on 3rd July 2018 till 10th July 2018 from Hertz Stockholm Central Station and returned to Hertz Oslo Central Station. During the rental signing, I already paid a fee for dropping off in another country. Drove it without issues and returned the car on 10th July 2018 with a full tank of fuel and was told by the lady at the counter that we were all done and I didn't have to sign anything.
Fast forwards 9 days, I received an invoice from Hertz, and imagine my shock when I saw the rental charge had increased by 15%. Apparently the office did not clock in my return, waited 6 days to drive the car back to Sweden to clock in there. They charged me extra rental from 10th - 16th July and the fuel it took them to drive back (1200 SEK). I had to call back to the customer service to get it fixed. Their customer service is only open for 3 hours a day, 4 days a week, so imagine the pain. Long story, I got a refund in the end, thought that was the last of it.
Today (18th October 2018), I received an invoice from Hertz again, this time charging me for parking and the admin charge of sending me the invoice. Date of parking? 16th July 2018! It is like this company does not have a system of filing their invoices and decided to dig out an old car park charge to send to me, and now I have to wait for that 3 hour window today to call them and undoubtedly be put on hold for half an hour! That is unreasonable and unacceptable.

Paid up front but when we arrived we were asked for a utility bill then charged £5 for a phone call to the DVLA.
When returning the car we were told we owed £6.50. We asked what for and were told the price we paid was an estimate. The balance being £6.50. After much arguing and us threatening to report them to trading standards they waved it. We have never had such rip off service from a car hire company.
We will never use kingfisher or hertz ever again.

Discover Car Hire is a FRAUD !!!! Don't TOUCH them. I've read MANY reviews saying - they take off money for scratches and dents that weren't there. We hired a car -NO pre inspection was done at O.R.Tambo airport. We dropped the car off at Shaka airport in Durban. The guy felt under the bumper and said there was a scratch !!!!!!!!!!!!! It had been raining - there was some mud !!! They TOOK over R 3200 -DAYLIGHT ROBBERY . We will NEVER use them again and hopefully NO ONE else uses them either !!When we phoned from Australia to speak to the guy -he'd been fired !!!!!!! NO Surprise there !
Hertz Car Hire in Aberystwyth Wales were amazing. Our car broke down whilst on Holidays in Wales and Hertz car Hire were brilliant in sorting me out a replacement car in super quick time. They were compassionate and helpful and made it a real pleasure doing business with.

Rented a car in Faro Airport- HORRENDOUS service!!! Added on extras that we did not want or ask for!!! Fuel Purchase option (we picked it up full and returned it full but charged us €70).... and something to do with the tyres?? Anyway it amounted to €80 - useless company. Was our 3rd time to use them never again will I use or recommend them to anyone! Also if you dont book with a credit card you will have to pay €21 extra a day and will be RUDELY told this.
They will find a minute scratch and make you pay for it, that is their default behaviour. Warning!
I use price line name your price. I received a nice on paper. When I got to car rental counter/hertz hit me with 200.00deposit .the counter rep.have nasty attitude. BE CAREFUL WHEN USING HERTZ
