I suggest that people do not use this…

I suggest that people do not use this service to subscribe, because if you want to cancel your subscription, it has to be canceled by the person providing the service. I have had two cases where I did not receive the service and wanted to cancel the subscription, but no action was taken to cancel it.

In one case, I was forced to change my card and go to the bank to block the transaction because the link support would not cancel it for me. In the second case, after two weeks of repeatedly asking the business that provided the service to cancel it, I finally managed to get it canceled.

Link.com keeps you stuck. Do not subscribe with these scammers.

Even by being careful you will probably end up with an account being created without your consent. Deleting your account immediately triggers a 120 day countdown.

Store your info without knowing

Had an email saying id logged in to a link.com account but I've never had one never mind used at the time it stated. It appears my data had been used/ saved without my knowledge. Requested deletion if account but say could take 120 days which is ridiculous. Now having to constantly check bank accounts in case of unauthorized transactions

Do not trust this business. They get your details in an underhand way when you pay for something on a website. You will have no protection in the future if you then pay through them. It's like a scam really.
As you can read from the reply below they are not interested at all in making the process of you signing up more obvious. They want your custom and they are prepared to get it without you noticing, especially on a mobile device. Be Warned.

Herpes for online payment systems

Seemingly every online checkout these days includes an option to sign up for Link and save your details. If you use autofill to add your credit card and address in the billing information section, it will automatically fill out the Link service section and if you are not careful to then *manually* delete your details from this section, you will be automatically signed up for Link. There is no checkbox confirming your permission to sign up for Link. They will send you an email to confirm your sign up, but then if you go to delete your Link account (because you never wanted one in the first place), they will retain your data for *120 days*. This is aggressive and predatory. I DO NOT WANT TO SIGN UP FOR YOUR USELESS SERVICE. I do not want you to have my data in your systems for nearly half a year. Crypto is stupid and the fact that you have to force it down customers' throats through aggressive and deceptive practices just shows how stupid it really is. Link claims it makes online payments safe and easy, but you know what already does that? Credit cards and autofill.

Be very cautious with your personal information on this site. your info in not secure, and it could become costly to you, just like it did me at some point. i was doing a on-line (living) Will search and checking some things out, when next thing i know was i receive a e-mail reading thank you for your payment of $199.00. which i never authorized through this link site. then when i spoke to someone in regards to this, there was a investigation that "did not last long at all" and i was told it was my problem. even though i did not put in any of my banking info on the site that i was on. making me feel as if "link" is connected with some sites, that can just get your info and take your funds.so my warning is to you, do not trust this site with your financial information. you will regret it. I wish someone had warned me in advance.

J'ai voulu prendre un abonnement chez Yuca, l'application très pratique est très utile.
Mais comme elle propose cette société (Link) pour effectuer le paiement sur son site internet, avant de lâcher mon numéro de carte bleue dans le vide, je me suis renseigné sur la société Link. Bien m'en a pris, car les commentaires ne sont guère élogieux.
Merci à tous ceux qui ont mis des commentaires pour mettre en garde les utilisateurs potentiels.
De ce fait, je n'ai pas pris d'abonnement chez Yuka. Dommage pour eux.

I don't want a digital wallet, but a service that I subscribe to uses Link for credit card billing. In order to pay my bill, I was forced to sign up with Link. After the payment was processed, I deleted the Link account on their settings page but they say it may take 120 to purge my credit card info.

Sharp practice that seems like a potential scam

This company acts badly. It uses the information provided by companies - in this case Hymns Ancient and Modern - if you opt to save your credit card details for future purchased to create its own account for you, which is bad enough but the methods it uses to inform you of this are so aggressive and misleading it makes you think you may have actually been scammed by criminals. In my case I was not subject to a criminal scam but was subject to very sharp practice.
Link deleted my account and apologised but I had already deactivated my credit card through my bank
The whole experience was distressing and time consuming.

They are data harvesting. Reselling. And in partnership with companies who are also selling your info.

Link forces itself on people

I bought lift tickets from Greek Peak Mountain's website and during payment an email was sent from Link asking me to verify my email. I thought it was part of Greek Peak and I clicked to verify. The email did not explicitly state that I was signing up with a payment platform that would keep my credit card and personal info. Then another email arrived welcoming me to Link. Stripe is trying too hard to gain customers for Link and it ends up backfiring by creating resentment from potential customers. No one would want to use a payment platform that appears deceitful.
