Really rate the product finish.

Our journey began in 2016 with Millboard. Unfortunately, three months after installation, we encountered a warranty issue. The boards were showing surface degradation, compromising the finish surface’s integrity. Despite initial reluctance, we replaced them under warranty in 2017. The company reassured us that this was an isolated incident.

To our dismay, the same issue resurfaced in 2020 with the replacement boards. While the decking was replaced in 2021, we were advised to choose a different colour board, which we did.

Now, in February 2025, we’ve noticed the telltale signs that the boards are exhibiting the same problems.

I’m astounded to say that I’ve contacted Millboard at least 30 times, with most of my emails being ignored. I’ve even emailed the “Company Director,” with no response.

We’ve provided them with evidence of photos but they claim it’s “wear and tear” and that the product isn’t faulty.

Millboard have NOT stood by their product or there mission statement where they boldly state that your “Limited Warranty gives you peace of mind that we stand behind our product and that we will be there for you if something goes wrong”

Based on this experience, we would not recommend Millboard’s products and advise anyone to steer clear of this company unless they were specifically looking for a small window of the product looking as it should.

It’s a shame that this company doesn’t care about after-sales customer service.

Millboard sent two guys to help fit a new composite deck, as an older deck had developed a fault. Finlay and Dan were excellent at all aspects of the refit and even made some improvements on the original deck. In addition, the customer service we received throughout the whole process (Luzaan) was superb.

Problems with faulty millboard but customer service was excellent.

I bought Millboard decking 10 years ago. The product slowly started to discolour, but I didn't raise the issue with them until recently when I called to ask them if it was possible to paint the boards to make them look better. They said it wasn't, but to my surprise and delight, I was told Millboard has a 25 year guarantee on their products and that this shouldn't have happened. They had identified a fault with some of their older boards that caused the discolouration and as a result, Millboard wanted to send me a whole new set of boards for free. The customer service was superb - this company takes customer satisfaction to a new level. I can't recommend them highly enough.

The matter was sorted quickly and very professionally, and replacement boards delivered

We had a warranty issue that emerged with some Millboard originally fitted in 2016 (current time of writing 2024). Some of the Millboards were exhibiting surface degradation - notably the ones that had been fully exposed to the sun.

We contacted Millboard (early 2024) who were aware and open about the fact that some of the original Millboard supplied, at that time, had suffered similar degradation over time due to an outsourced aspect/issue of their manufacturing process. This is an issue that has since been resolved by bringing that specific process in-house, i.e. within Millboard, we were told.

The Millboard staff with whom we had dealings could not have been more helpful. Various options were discussed, in some detail, due to the complexity of elements of our original Millboard installation.

Millboard have stood by their product and replaced all of the originally supplied Millboards at no cost to ourselves (2024) in addition they offered to and made a significant contribution to the total cost of refitting the newly supplied Millboards.

We do not believe any aspect of the service and support we received from Millboard could have been improved upon.

Based on this experience we have no hesitation in recommending both Millboard's products and their excellent staff.

We did experience a huge difference in the quality and professionalism of Millboard approved installers but that is a question of do your own research.

I have to say Millboard are a truly professional, customer focused business who take their customers concerns very seriously. I have a decking that was beginning to show signs of unexpected wear (after 6+ years) and Millboard have supported me and went the extra mile to make sure the issue is resolved.

Excellent product and looks good for many years. Well worth the extra cost on other products.

Excellent customer services, we wanted to extend our decking and ordered 6 more 3.6 metre lengths when they arrived the colour had changed and did not match. i contacted Millboard who jumped into action and searched to find us some decking from same year, they sent 6 to us and a box of screws all FOC. Everything was so professional right down to the delivery driver who couldn't be more helpful.

Quick, efficient and very professional service. Courteous throughout and excellent, quality product. Thoroughly recommend this company for their excellent customer service.

Millboard has an intrinsically top-of-the-range product suite and are very customer focused - eager to help out with queries and support. Good value - would definitely use again.
