Thank you for taking the time to write a Trustpilot review of Shaws. We're sorry that your Belfast sink has been damaged, and especially that you've not had the help you expected from us. Our Customer Services team have been in communication with you, but to progress the matter further we do need a proof of purchase. Obviously that can be a rather frustrating stipulation, but some of our sinks are essentially unchanged in design for over 100 years and our Lifetime Warranty is a relatively recent introduction. Hopefully you can locate your receipt, or identify the retailer or showroom your purchased it from, and we'll be very happy to take things further.

Thank you for updating your Trustpilot review. Like all manufacturers, we do have rules around warranty claims, and you have been very unfortunate that your retailer has ceased trading, making it hard to prove the age of the sink. Since a year old Shaws sinks may look very similar to a twenty year old Shaws sink, we do normally require some proof of age.
No ceramic manufacturer has yet developed a technique that removes all possibility of crazing, or predicting whether an individual sink may develop crazing in the future. We would reiterate that crazing does not affect the sink's performance, and some customers feel that it is part of the character of the sink. Clearly many people, like you, do not, which is why it is covered under our warranty scheme.
Once again, thank you for taking the time to write - we genuinely value constructive criticism as much as praise - and sorry that we can't assist you further in this case.

Thank you for taking the time to write a Shaws review on Trustpilot. We read and take note of every one, positive and negative. We're sorry to hear that the repair work failed. And it sounds like your sink has now developed crazing. A very frustrating experience, clearly.
No one has yet developed a method for entirely ruling out the possibility of crazing in a sink, and although it is cosmetic and doesn't affect the performance of the sink you can make a claim on the Shaws warranty. If you're in the UK, please call our Customer Services team to discuss (01254 775111), otherwise go back to your retailer in the first instance.

Many thanks for taking the time to write such a detailed review. For a business our size, these really make a difference. We very much appreciate the kind words and I will pass your comments directly to Christina and Esther. It's always good to hear from owners who have had their Shaws sink for so many years, and of course we remain here for advice and assistance, however long you keep your sink. As you say, it has certainly been a demanding 12 months for Shaws, as it has for so many businesses and individuals, but we have every expectation of being around for at least another 120 years!

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on Shaws. We always want to hear from our customers whether the experience is positive or negative, and I promise you we read and take notice of each one. I have had a look at your order, placed on 24th November. We do owe you an apology for our communication, which hasn't been as clear and frequent as it should have been. We have a small team in Darwen, and we have been depleted in recent weeks due to Covid issues. However we should still have kept you better informed, and we certainly don't get annoyed by any customer queries! Like many manufacturers in Britain at the moment, we are doing our best to keep production running and fulfil orders during a very challenging time. Do please bear with us - we will get your sinks to you as quickly as we possibly can.

UPDATE 14th January 2021
Your sink is now ready - we have sent an email to confirm - and we're just awaiting a courier collection. We will confirm the delivery date by email as soon as we're advised by the courier. We hope that you're delighted with the sink, and it repays your patience with many, many years of use. Thank you again for bearing with us.

Thank you for your kind comments. We're delighted that you're pleased with the sink and waste. Some of the styles of farmhouse sink originate from France, I believe, so maybe you have the best of both worlds. I also understand that it's not easy to extract compliments from French plumbers and installers, so we're very happy to receive that! Thanks once again for taking the time to write. Historically we sold relatively few round sinks, but they have become much more popular in recent years. It's something we'll look at. Thank you for taking the time to write a review on Trustpilot. Having looked into your case, I see that there has been a delay with the courier. Generally, despite the pandemic, our international deliveries have been relatively unaffected, but unfortunately you have suffered a significant delay.
Our Customer Services team have worked hard to investigate this with DHL, but we can only pass on information we are given by them. DHL's tracking service suggests that the package is now in Hong Kong, so hopefully it will reach you in the next few days.
Please accept our apologies for the longer than expected wait. Looking at your order, it seems that our website failed to add international carriage to the cost. Given your experience, we are happy to waive that charge.
We hope you enjoy your new sink.
