I spoke to the claims team last February after a tractor hit the wall at the front of my house and damaged it. I asked the team if my enquiry would be recorded as a claim and affect future premiums as at that time I did not know if I wanted to make a claim, it may not have been worth it.
It all ended up being red tape anyhow with the insurance wanting the title plan because it is a jointly owned wall so I decided not to continue and we fixed the wall ourselves. Despite this a claim was opened and is now registered even though I never even got the cost estimate or used the insurance to fix it. This is now preventing me from getting insurance quotes and of course not it’s straightforward in closing it. If the company is going to impose rules like this please make sure your staff are aware instead of them giving false info.

Exasperating experience with AI Chatbot and subsequent human agents when trying to cancel a policy. They were unable to provide a calculation of the requested payment, which is almost certainly unlawful. Never using AA insurance again...
