Fast to set up,lots of options

I was up and running in 15 minutes. A bit more than they say on their site, but I was new, So who knows. I was able to embed their ticket widget in our website. I was able to send out emails to people so they would know about our events. Overall, Ticketbud was very easy to use for selling tickets online.

I still have yet to receive my refund …

I still have yet to receive my refund for the scam event that was hosted on TicketBud's website. I would steer clear of using their service as their due diligence is clearly still in it's infant stages. Furthermore, they decided to create 7 transfer phone lines that all lead to a voicemail so you could not communicate with a real person. All things said and done your platform hosted a scam event. It's now December 8th and I have not received a refund nor any follow up from you or the aforementioned vendor.

I would never purchase anything through …

I would never purchase anything through these guys again . I bought a ticket to an even in August the event was in October ( my bday weekend) I got an email the event was cancelled and would receive a refund . Well here it is November and still no refund. I found out I wasn't the only one out here so now we are all looking into a class action lawsuit. Oh and there's no one you can talk to either the only department that has actual people working is sales yea go figure.

Wayback Entertainment and its representative, Stephen Eubank (collectively, the "Event Organizer"), approached Ticketbud in early September 2017 about using the Platform to facilitate the sale of tickets for its "Haunted Booze Cruise" events in certain cities across the United States ("Initial Events"), which Event Organizer was already promoting on Facebook. After being contacted by the Event Organizer, Ticketbud conducted reasonable due diligence to confirm the validity of the Initial Events, including:

Speaking with Stephen Eubank about such events;
Requesting contact information for the boat vendors for each of such events;
Confirming that a contract existed between such boat vendors and the Event Organizer;
Confirming that Event Organizer had made substantial deposits with such boat vendors;
Confirming, in some instances, that Event Organizer had successfully held similar events with such boat vendors in the past;
Confirming that Event Organizer did not intend to sell tickets in excess of the capacity of the reserved boats; and
Continuing to follow up with the boat vendors to confirm all payment to the boats were made and such reservations remained in place.

Upon completing its due diligence on the Initial Events, Ticketbud agreed to allow Event Organizer to sell tickets to the Initial Events through the Platform and Event Organizer entered into a separate agreement with Stripe to process the payments associated with such sales.

A few weeks later, Ticketbud noticed that Event Organizer had started selling tickets to "Haunted Booze Cruise" events in new locations ("New Events"). Ticketbud immediately reached out to Event Organizer in an effort to perform the same due diligence on the New Events that it performed on the Initial Events. Event Organizer communicated that it was in negotiations with several boat vendors for the New Events and would promptly provide Ticketbud with the requested information. However, Event Organizer shortly thereafter informed Ticketbud that it was unable to secure the required boat reservations and intended to cancel such events and refund all tickets purchased for such events.

Stephen Eubank initiated refunds for such tickets with Stripe on or around September 28, 2017 as well as informed Stripe that a significant volume of transactions were going to be refunded by the Event Organizer. Upon initiating such refunds, the fees collected by Ticketbud in connection with the canceled events (i.e., an aggregate amount of $7,497.81) were returned to Stripe to be refunded to the purchasers. To Ticketbud's knowledge, Ticketbud no longer possesses any fees and has not profited or made any revenues, from the canceled events of Event Organizer. To the extent Ticketbud does possess any such fees, Ticketbud has authorized Stripe to collect such fees and refund the applicable purchasers. At this point, this process is solely controlled by Stripe.

After the refunds were initiated, Ticketbud contacted the Event Organizer and requested that it keep in communication with its customers during the refund process. Event Organizer agreed to do so and assured Ticketbud that the customers who purchased tickets to the canceled events would be refunded the full amount paid for their respective tickets.

However, after the standard 10 business day refund period, Ticketbud was notified by Stripe that it was unable to complete the initiated refunds and that Stripe was working directly with the Event Organizer to resolve certain issues and complete the outstanding refunds. Ticketbud later learned from Event Organizer and Stripe that the bank account of Event Organizer (i.e. Stephen Eubank) had been frozen and the funds required to process the refunds were not accessible.

Ticketbud understands that Event Organizer wired a significant amount of funds to Stripe on or about October 24, 2017 to cover a portion of the outstanding refunds. Ticketbud further understands that Stripe is still waiting for additional funds from the Event Organizer to cover the remaining outstanding refunds. Ticketbud has and will continue to use its best efforts to facilitate communication between Stripe and Event Organizer in an effort to complete the outstanding refunds, but has no control over the refund process at this point.

I recently use Ticketbud for an event here...perdon mi English...but they are very well. I used Ticketbud for event ticketing and even though I am not en the united status i understood it easy. Gracias Ticketbud thanks to u I sold many tickets to my show! I will use you again in the future!!

False Advertising!!!

I took the time to do a demo with a Ticketbud sales rep. He swore up and down that we would be able to rent POS credit card swipers to use with their app onsite during the event and that the fee would be waived after 5 uses. He even went so far as to say he could throw them in the mail in the next day or two for us. With such solid promises, we felt confident moving forward building out the ticketing site for our charity benefit.

Two days later, when we asked to order the dongles for onsite registration, we were told that they were not available. They did not provide any explanation as to why.

My experience with Ticketbud is that it was a complete waste of my time. They jerked me around and forced me to scramble to find a site that did suit our needs, one which is actually free to charities.

I do not recommend Ticketbud to anyone and will not use them in the future.

First of all we wanted to thank you for taking the time to make a review and we're sorry to hear about your negative experience with Ticketbud. We strive to do our best every time with charities, but unfortunately we were not able to in your case because of unforeseen issues.

By the time of your event, the majority of our dongles had been rented out and then afterward we had discovered that there were processing issues with the ones that we still had available, and were completely unsuitable for POS use.

Thank you again for your feedback, it has made us take a further look into our dongles and we are already taking steps to ensure that this never happens again.

They are perfect!

This company is fabulous to work with. They are insanely easy to get in touch with and extremely helpful and friendly every time. I've NEVER had a single issue with them. I will be using Ticketbud for a long time to come.

The best in the biz:)

Hello,, my name is Lara and I recently used Ticketbud to sell tickets online for my non profit charity to raise money to help at risk children
I have used another company in the past,, but I did not like them as much, everything was very well laid out on the site. Ticketbud is the best event site company, I have used them several times and the service has been very good, and friendly:)

One of the better online event registration software platforms

I’ve used Ticketbud for a recent music festival. The best part of working with Ticketbud is their team. The entire team was very responsive to our requests and customization to make our ticket holders purchasing experience more seamless.

Using the dashboard was easy it. They were a few bugs but the their team is rolling out a new dashboard update soon. Over all its one of the better online event registration software platforms.

Very disappointed

We are a nonprofit organization raising money to help at-risk kids living below the poverty line. We used TicketBud for two years for our fundraising event for a flat fee of $99. The third year we noticed a fee of $1089 deducted from our account. When we contacted them we were told they had changed their policy. That's an outrageous increase, particularly because we had no idea they had raised their prices.

Ticketbud - Getting Better!

I've used Ticketbud for my bar's concert venue space since mid-2014 and was initially attracted to their inexpensive "one-price" option as opposed to some of the other competition out there. At the time their service was alright, it wasn't anything great but I didn't expect it to be for the price that they were charging. For my ticketing and event management needs, they were fine.

However, then in late 2014 they announced a pricing change where they were moving towards an entirely fee-based model. While it's a fairly big change, it wasn't one that made me angry. I've talked with their customer service reps before when I had an issue and they've always been very good about helping me. They've also been working hard to add new features so it's definitely been fine. One new thing I really enjoy is that you can add the very small service fee to the price of the ticket so it doesn't even show up as a service fee, and as an organizer I don't have to pay at all. So in effect, I'm saving money.

Ticketbud still has a ways to go but I do applaud them for working hard to keep my business.

Changed Pricing After Sign Up & Entering Info.

I was attracted to their business model and pricing system. I believed it would be a great fit for me and my event. I went through the process of setting up my event, entering in tickets, entering different variations, adding descriptions and custom questions for some of the tickets. When I had everything ready I went through the payment process and they had changed it. I requested to use the payment method I had signed up under, but they replied no after waiting for a day, even though someone emailed me during my first day of setup to see if I needed help. They pulled the rug from under me. I will never use them again.

Ticketbud use to be against fees and began to put an end to greed and fees from the ticket taking industry. Now it seems as though they've become what they hated.

Really? So, if I sold $200 tickets the extra $101 + 2% is for my better serve me, the customer?

Embarrassing

I set up the site and everything looked great. It was easy to set up and the page looked good. We wanted to sell sponsorships for our site ahead of the sale, seemed easy enough. So we started selling and had people upload their logos. Then Ticketbud did an update and all the sponsorships were no longer visible. I reported the problem 5 days ago and it's still not corrected. There is no contact number so you have to send a service ticket and wait. My sponsors who paid money to have their logos seen during ticket sales are going to be quite disappointed tomorrow morning when tickets go on sale and there is nothing shown for them. This also meant we had to stop selling the sponsorships which cost us money for our fundraiser in the end. So disappointing when it had such great potential.

Great product to start with, and with surpringly attentive service!

Besides the obvious, that there is no comparing the value and savings between paying a transaction fee per ticket sold (such as with Eventbrite) and Ticketbud's one-time fee per event! As a person with over 15 year of web development experience, I can tell you that the Ticketbud system is extremely well though-out. Not that it doesn't have the occasional hiccup (and what system doesn't), but more importantly the staff and support have been extremely attentive. There were 2-3 occasions that I requested assistance on how to accomplish a specific task that were not part of the current system and so I made due in the meantime (the savings far surpassed the absence of functionality that I personally required). However, within 2-weeks of the first request, I read in their newsletter that one function/service has now been incorporated into the system, and within 2-weeks of another request I was notified that that request has also been implemented in the system as well.

The day of your event, you end up putting the ultimate faith in the ticketing company you selected to be able to adequately process all admissions -- the Ticketbud scanner app performed flawlessly - and what a relief that is!!

Talk about a company that listens to their customers to deliver on the product that WE need to best manage our events, and that's been my Ticketbud experience!

Cheap, but has significant issues

We've used TicketBud for two events now in the 200-250 person range. On the upside, they're cheap. However, the downside is that they feel cheap.

The last time we used them, I think we reported half a dozen bugs, most of them obvious. But they seemed like they were just getting started, so this year I figured we'd give them the benefit of the doubt and try again.

On the upside, the basics do seem to work. You can put some tickets up for sale, send people off to PayPal, and get money. Last time we successfully used their android app to check people in. But the edge cases are rough.

For example, we had early-bird tickets and regular tickets. When we were down to 1 early-bird ticket TicketBud would still let people try to buy up to 20 of them. Then the attempt would blow up with some sort of error. When they came back to the page, it would show that the early-bird tickets were sold out, so they felt cheated. We've got a half-dozen people upset on our Facebook page because of this. I finally had to just reduce the number of early-bird tickets by 1 so that people trying to buy in pairs would stop getting hit with this. We had a similar problem when the event was almost sold out: mysterious site failures and angry attendees.

Another big problem: they don't appear to have waitlist functionality. I just had to go build something with Google Forms and stick it half-assedly in the page.

Speaking of which, their supposedly WYSIWYG editor ends up with the content looking fairly different on the two pages. I had to spend a bunch of time messing with the raw HTML to get the page to come out right.

And there are a number of other issues that, at least to this software developer's eye, look obvious.

I thought using TicketBud was a way to save money for my guests, and I guess it did. But next time I'm going to try something else in hopes of finding something better built.

For a "non-techie" Ticketbud was easy to set-up, looks great and comes with supportive staff to help you through any speed bumps.

So far, oh so good. Ticketbud has been the perfect answer to the question "How will we sell 800 tickets for our upcoming kids' concert?"

Site was easy to create and looks great. Actually, I genuinely enjoyed creating it, which is not an easy thing to say for a "non-techno-phile."

When I hit a snag in the road, Jack on support cleared up the dilemma in less than 24 hrs.

Easy, Efficient and Cheap.

I have used Ticketbud in the past to host a small event for around 100 people. Ticketbud was by far the cheapest option and was very convenient. Initially I had looked into using other ticketing companies but simply found them to be too expensive. Using Ticketbud was easy, however I had some problems with people RSVP'ing to the event. I let customer service know and they were very professional and handled the problem with ease.

Not for commercial events! Beware, do not use their Email Invite program!

I was so excited, so very excited, to find an affordable option for selling tickets online. In the past, my company has used Eventbrite, with wonderful results but a large price to pay. We decided to try another option - therefore Ticketbud!
I published our month long Harvest Festival on Ticketbud and pasted my 1,000 email subscribers to their online Email "Invite". Sending a large number of emails manually, is of course time consuming! Ticketbud's online feature looked so professional, I put up my 100% faith. Low and behold, after the mass email went out, I received many, many, many angry replies. Ticketbud failed to send the mass email as a "Blind carbon copy", instead each recipient could see the email addresses of all the other recipients!!! I can understand the concern of these folks, whose email addresses were exposed to 1,000 other people. Needless to say, Alderbrook Park received many bad reviews from this incident.
I immediately contacted Ticketbud, explained my frustration and requested a refund of $138. They explained that their program is not designed for large events. It is mostly designed for small personal events and they were sorry for my misunderstanding! Furthermore, they refused to issue a refund. Can you believe it ? They don't mention these details at all on their website.
Beware, event coordinators! Their website may look great, but behind the scenes, there is little, professional customer service. Today's online standards, require that emails be kept private, unless permission is given. Ticketbud basically violated trust of 1,000 people : (

For a brief period of time there was a bug in our system that affected email invitations. We deeply regret this issue made it into production and apologize for the inconvenience it caused Alderbrook Park-friends and any other customers. Immediately after being notified of the issue, this bug was quickly addressed and has been fixed for months. Currently, the invite feature is very secure to use and has been used by hundreds of events worldwide without issue.

A fraction of the cost and everything I need all rolled into one.

Read about their service on wired.com and was intrigued and encouraged by the great review. I was not disappointed. Their website and service were simple, helpful, and everything I required. Most importantly, it's cheap! They don't make you overpay for a necessary service. On top of that they grant you everything you need, and are helpful along the way. Need I say/praise more?

Overall awesome site with great, modern features and quite inexpensive.

I thought it was awesome. The iPhone app I had people at the box office use was simple to use. Very cheap one time cost. Free for events with free tickets. One thing that would be great is to have a way to email all of your guests with last minute details close to the event as things could change. It doesn't give you the guests email addresses if they entered them, but it becomes very difficult when there are a lot of guests. Overall, it is a great, cheap alternative to the others I researched before deciding on ticketbud.
