Nice Bag, But Not Worth the Price
I bought a Large canvas tote bag with leather trim and gold-tone hardware and I’m a little disappointed with this bag. The overall quality is good, but the colour of the canvas is noticeably darker than it appears in the photos. The bag also becomes quite heavy once you put your belongings inside.
The top zip does not close the bag completely, which makes it feel less secure. I was also disappointed that the bottom corners are made of canvas rather than leather, and the bag has no protective feet. I’m concerned that these areas may wear out quite quickly with regular use.
The handles are also quite stiff, so they’re not as comfortable to carry as I expected.
Overall, it’s a nice-looking bag with good quality, but I expected better attention to detail at this price.

**UPDATE – I RETURNED TO THE STORE**
Following my previous experience at the Tommy Hilfiger store in the Bullring, Birmingham, on 21 July 2026, I returned to the store on 28 July with a friend because I wanted what happened to me to be addressed.
One of the staff members involved was there.
When confronted about what had happened, he claimed that he had been "trying to help me". I completely reject that explanation. It does not reflect what I experienced.
I have Cerebral Palsy, which affects my speech and mobility. On 21 July, I approached two members of staff to ask for assistance and, while I was trying to communicate, they stood there laughing. I know the difference between someone genuinely trying to help me and someone behaving in a way that makes me feel mocked and humiliated.
What made matters worse was returning to the store and hearing an explanation that, in my view, was simply an attempt to excuse or minimise what had happened rather than take responsibility for it.
I found the original incident humiliating enough. Having to return with a friend, only to then hear the staff member attempt to portray his behaviour as "helping", made the situation even more upsetting and frustrating.
I have now made a formal complaint and requested that Tommy Hilfiger preserve and review the CCTV footage from 21 July. The CCTV should provide an independent record of the interaction rather than this simply becoming my word against a member of staff.
If the CCTV confirms what I experienced, I expect Tommy Hilfiger to take the strongest possible disciplinary action. In my view, anyone found to have mocked or laughed at a disabled customer who was simply trying to communicate should not be working in a customer-facing role.
Disabled people deserve dignity and respect. We should not have to worry about being laughed at when we enter a store and ask for help.
I expect Tommy Hilfiger to take this extremely seriously.

Awful experience
Awful experience, returned 2 items by your recommendation (post office + proof of postage). I have tried on numerous occasions to contact/email the department to ask why my complaint is being dismissed.The company has acknowledged 1 item returned but not the other. Strange when both items were posted and returned in the same box. Still waiting for a response after weeks of waiting and lack of communication unacceptable from reputable company. Overall my experience hasn’t been a positive one plus I’ve been left out of pocket due to company mistakes

Absolutely awful experience
Absolutely awful experience, order a pair of canvas shoes only to be told an hour later my order has been cancelled due to stock issues, paid by debit card and it’s now 12 days since and still no refund! Avoid at all costs!
