I can completely understand your frustration, particularly as a business owner where your time is so valuable. A 45 minute call and an unexpected increase in premium is not the experience we want for any of our customers, and I sincerely apologise for that.

I do want to reassure you that our online quote form is designed to capture the key information needed to provide an accurate price, and I am sorry if there were questions that should have been asked at that stage but were not. Where additional information comes to light during the validation process, a revised premium is sometimes unfortunately necessary, and I am sorry that this was not clearer from the outset.

I did submit a request through Trustpilot for your contact details so that I could look into this matter personally, but unfortunately I did not hear back. I would genuinely appreciate the opportunity to discuss your concerns directly, so please do not hesitate to get in touch using the contact details on our website. I do want to explain that mid-term adjustments are subject to the updated risk profile and underwriting criteria at the time of the change, and any additional premium is charged by the insurer rather than ourselves. That said, I completely understand that unexpected costs can be frustrating, and I would genuinely like to look into this matter to make sure everything was handled correctly and that you were charged fairly.

Dear Mr. Arnott,

Thank you for taking the time to leave a further review about your experience, and I apologise once more for the frustration this matter has caused you.

I do want to take the opportunity to clarify a few points. The payments taken were for automatic renewals, which were clearly communicated to you each year in advance. Your card details were retained on file for this purpose, as confirmed at the point of purchase and in accordance with the terms of business agreed to at the time. I want to assure you that your details were held securely, with your consent, and solely for the purpose of paying for your insurance cover.

As we discussed over the phone on 10th March 2026, we were unfortunately not made aware that you no longer owned the vehicle or required the cover. Had we known, we would of course have cancelled the policy at that time. I also want to clarify that I cannot see any record of us attributing this matter to an underwriter error, and I apologise for any confusion on that point.

I want to assure you that we are actively working in the background to backdate and refund your policies. This is taking a little longer than we would like due to the documentation involved, but we will be in touch to update you on progress as soon as we are able to do so. We genuinely appreciate your patience while we work towards a resolution.

In the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact me directly should you need anything at all. I am here to help and will make sure you are kept informed every step of the way.

It sounds as though there was a discrepancy with some of the information entered online, which unfortunately resulted in an amendment to the material facts and a revised premium. I am sorry that this came as a surprise, and I appreciate your understanding that our online rates are guaranteed where the information provided is accurate.

I am also sorry that we were unable to match the price you found elsewhere on this occasion. That is always disappointing to hear, and I genuinely hope we get the opportunity to do better for you in the future.
