Terrible service!! Cardiff branch very unorganised. Called three times, information taken three times. Only to be told no record of conversations being had about properties. Clueless. Avoid this agency at all costs if you value your time!

Awful experience at every turn. Incompetent staff throughout the many levels I dealt with. Rude, clueless and lacklustre. I urge thou to avoid this awful company like the plague!!!

Lee Hodges at the Devizes branch is always very professional, quick and most helpful.

me with my child and my wife in a hotel for more than a month I begged the offices to help me find a house we both had a full time job in a nursing home so guaranteed work and no one helped and fortunately for my good luck they turned to allen n harris office and there i found ms scarlett but i have to admit you really bent my problem understood the situation and found us home within a week and without paying 6 months in advance just by promoting us and allowing us to try our luck us taking the references and the landlord control thank you very much scarlet

Craig the manager at Whitchurch Cardiff is exceptional and could not do enough to help. His team namely Rees and Naomi (who answers the phone ) at the office were also excellent. I rarely leave reviews but this team led by Craig are worthy of an award. Exceptional.

PAISLEY branch, I was misquoted on the fee cost and over quoted on the value of my property. So, it cost me MORE to sell and my property was worth LESS than they said. After taking time off work to allow Allen & Harris' photographer in my property I ended up asking them to use my own photographs. I was told I would be contacted once a week with an update, but this rarely happened. Prior to my flat selling
I hadn't heard anything for over 3 weeks. I has to ask them to check viewers were actually viewing a property that fitted they're search criteria. A constant reason a buyer wasn't interested was that it was in the wrong area. Goodness sake! Google maps!! Check with the buyer where they DO want to stay!! That was beyond strange, why view somewhere that is not in your search area? I honestly doubted half my viewers even existed. Weekly calls from the office from Leanne soon stopped, these calls were embarrassing as Gary who sold me on using Allen & Harris had assured me that my property was in high demand. This was obviously not the case OR this company were not doing their job. I eventually had to chase up this company to make sure they were doing all they could to sell my property. I think they were more relieved my property sold than I was, I got ONE phone call to say an offer was being initiated and that was the last I heard from them. Everything then came thro my solicitor. They did practically NOTHING to earn their over-rated fee. Avoid this company at all costs. I have only awarded 1 star as there is no option to give ZERO.

I made a offer and it was accepted by the Agency in Southmead but after few days they say they Received another offer and my offer is invalid and they known the Rules and according to them the Buyer (myself)is not a Costumer for them

Awful, horrible people. This is coming up to 4 years ago now, but an investigation is still underway. My family home had to be put up for sale after 27 years of living there, due to a bad mortgage company. We completely renovated our home so that the new owners could call it a home straight away. We gave a set of keys to Allen and Harris so that they could undertake viewings as we're a busy working family. A buyer came up which was great news, but one day my mum had a break from work so of course went home. Only to be greeted with the buyer stood in our back garden doing gardening work and our doors unlocked. The buyer had the audacity to ask my mother what she was doing there. He had been going into our home wearing muddy shoes on the brand new carpet which we had to have professionally cleaned. Nail varnish had been tipped on the carpet which the buyer blamed on us as a way for us to replace it, the thing is, we didn't have nail varnish in the house. He then returned 3 days before completion and condemned OUR boiler when we were working, as a way to lower the price of our home. Allen and Harris were aware of all of this going on. Then they said that we didn't have a fitted kitchen, which was brand new, less than a month old on completion. With a working gas hob and electric oven, which we had been using everyday of course, but the buyer said it wasn't working. Our sales completion hasn't even been signed by us, only the buyer. This is the Penarth Branch.

Shocking experience. My son rented a place through Allen and Harris Chippenham after viewing the marketing video. He moved in on Saturday & Sunday the 31st of January and we were beyond shocked. The video failed to show the condition of some of the walls, the mould in the kitchen cupboard, the dirt on the window ledge. There are two light fixtures in the sitting room and one is not working. We visited many properties and as the COVID situation got worse, we became more cautious. The video looked good and the Allen and Harris looked professional. We paid £9300 in advance and we are truly regretting that. Do not trust a video, if concerned about COVID wait till the situation improves. He is now stuck with this for 1 year.

Where do I begin!! Chippenham branch provide very professional courteous team. Special thanks to Esther and San who dealt with me. They were amazing, always at the end of a phone and willing to make things as easy as possible going above and beyond. Only regret is that I didn’t sell my property with them, can’t even begin to explain the difference I experience from selling my house with other Calne estate agents, this won’t be happening again! Will never use anyone other than Allen and Harris and Sam’s team in future.....

This was the first time that I have sold a property. Michelle Hallas of Allan and Harris Chippenham was extremely helpful, and went out of her way to call by in person to help me with the various forms. Without her advice and knowledge I would have been lost. She is a very knowledgeable agent. In fact she was the oil that kept the wheels turning. I was so pleased to have her as my agent and would do so again. I recommend highly recommend Michelle.

I could not recommend Allen and Harris, Clarkston highly enough to anyone swithering about who to sell their house with. The team in Allen and Harris have gone above and beyond my expectations. Attentitive, professional and friendly, I can't thank them enough for selling my house so quickly and the dedication they have shown towards my house sale. Thank you! If I move again, I'll have no doubt who to sell with.

Terrible experience buying and selling a property.
Unwilling to help with problems, once you've signed the contract with them they couldn't care about you, they just want it done as quickly as possible.

We had a really good experience with Allen and Harris team, we are based up north and getting viewings on a Saturday was always a difficult thing for us , but this team never let us down , always accommodated us and were very courteous namely John and Alex who helped us out . Big yes to go with them!!

Would give zero if I could. We had lots of issues with the house and the estate agents just ghosted us. To this day, they still owe me money for the keys because they couldn't even manage to get keys cut right (never heard of checking?). I keep asking when it will be returned and Lewis just says "I will get back to you". Special shoutout to Lewis for being particularly useless on this matter and for maintenance issues overall. They left us with broken furniture for a whole year- they kept saying they would send someone to fix it but never did. The house had an awful mould problem- they sent someone over to give quotes to install extractor fan in bathroom but nothing came of that. They tried to milk money out of the deposit but we argued so they backed out (their claims had no merit). Would not recommend. They don't check that houses are suitable to live in, and they don't respond or care if there's an issue with the house. Not responsible, practical, or reliable.

We have had the misfortune to do business with Allen and Harris lettings in Bath for our Student-age son. They issue contracts, clearly stating they recommend you take legal advice prior to signing, allow just 3 or 4 working days to seek this legal advice. The reminders and pressure to sign start within hours of receipt of contract. Their contracts are very difficult to understand and read. In my opinion they favour the landlady / landlord, with much less protection for the tenant. It is a very shambolic way of working, and not at all what one would expect from a well-established name such as Allen and Harris. Needless to say, we were not able to proceed with the rental as we could not get proper legal advice in the meagre time A&H had allowed. Their untimeliness is absolutely shameful. Tenants are definitely NOT treated as customers, even though they are actually the ones paying the money. I would never do business with this company again. The question to Allen and Harris would be "Would you like your children to be treated this way?".

Allen & Harris organised my daughters first flat purchase & mortgage. They were excellent, efficient & quick. The whole process was very smooth & my daughter & I were very impressed. Glen Ragrag got the mortgage in place very quickly. Would highly recommend them

Allen & Harris Albany Road, cant valuate houses. Most lower priced houses all Standard £160,000 despite condition of property. Not good if your selling immaculate house, and same price as one that needs totally renovating in same/similar area. Insulting to selkers of nice properties
