Sub-par products & awful customer 'service'
Awful! Sub-standard products. Poor value for money. I bought a serum which had a 7 day money back guarantee if you didn't notice a difference (I didn't) and have had hell with the Facebook "customer service" who couldn't organise a (blank) in a brewery! Never again.

No order, contacted customer service they said I'd missed cut off. Sent them the proof that I hadn't, email receipt, screenshot they apologised and said that they would check with evri. Then a day later got an email saying that for my info to avoid late delivery please make sure you are aware of cut off times.
Contacted again got an apology still no order. Asked to speak with a manager, told they would call me, 4 days later no call, stuff has just arrived.

DANGEROUS PRODUCT I purchased several Avon Jasmine fragrance candles, which I gave as Christmas presents. I was contacted today and was told that one candle that had been lit had exploded shattering the glass container all over the kitchen. The wooden worktop that the candle was on, caught fire sending flames across the worktop and setting off the fire alarm. The lady put out the flames but has been left with a badly damaged worktop and is badly shaken. On contacting Avon I was unable to speak to anyone with authority only customer services who offered a refund for the candles! I tried to explain that this was more important than a refund as I consider the product inferior and dangerous but apparently the rest of the Avon business and staff do not have phones only a generic email address and whats app account. Noone can call me back There is a Resolution team, but they have no phones and a Specialist team who have no phones, cannot be contacted and cannot communicate in conversation. The person I spoke to in Customer Service does not have a boss and she does not work for Avon!! BUY AT YOUR RISK.
Overall an average experience
Overall an average experience. My items that did arrive I am very happy with but⊠and this was a big but with me I ordered 3 items all of which were showing as in stock and went through. When my items arrived I only received 2 of the 3 with no emails in the meantime to explain this. I spoke to customer services and was told my 3rd item was cancelled as no longer in stock. I got an apology but no explanation other than itâs now no longer in stock and no one seemed phased by the fact this hadnât been communicated to me. The item is still showing as available online which only adds insult to injury. However, the 2 items that did arrive where very good. So be aware you may not get what you order.

Absolutely fed up.. made an order, Avon took out 2 payments and I have been given the run around trying to get my refund. First I tried to get it via Facebook Messenger but because of security reasons I wasn't going to give them all of my bank details. I called the customer line a week ago and was told I had to send back the unwanted order???? I told her I only received one order which I kept and the other order was a glitch on the system, according to Avon..Apparently the computers were down and I was assured they would call me back...No phone call still no refund.. if I don't get my money back I'm going to Trading Standards. Lovely products very poor customer services. To say I'm not happy is an understatement.
Good experience
It's sad to see a big, long-standing brand like Avon with such a poor overall rating. Delivering great customer service should be the number 1 priority in 2022 to improve perceptions. Having said that, we've had a great experience (was very worried after reading the reviews here). Partner ordered two of the mulled wine and gingerbread scented pamper kits last Thursday night and they arrived today (Tuesday). Pleased with delivery and pleased with products.

I've been a rep for 15 years and love Avon products.
My customers order through me because, and I hate to say this, I don't rate the website. I've ordered through there once myself, there was an item missing, which I was not notified of when I placed the order. It took 8 weeks for me to get a refund!
Ordering via a rep is much safer; you get notified immediately if an item is unavailable and you get a credit for any items you're unhappy with, direct from your rep.
The products are great quality and value for money, I only ever use Avon make-up.
As for being a 'pyramid' scheme, these are actually illegal in the UK. It's an MLM whereby you get rewarded for recruiting others to become reps. Unlike other MLM's, there is actually product to sell, not just an 'opportunity'. It's not for me, personally as I don't have the time or patience to recruit and train people. I much happier being a 'sole trader'. But each to their own.

Ever since I joined Avon as a representative I have had nothing but misery. It is a game of constant delays, charges, recharges, orders on hold, items out of stock and lack of communication. It is not worth the time or effort for the measly commission which is eaten away by the cost of literature, campaign books, samples, order forms, brochure bags, delivery fees and the many items for which you earn nothing anyway or have a fixed discount on. I returned products over 6 weeks ago and they recharged me for them under the pretense that they had not infact recieved my returns. This recharge was to the value of £169.35 which I am now expected to pay (I won't be paying it). Unfortunately, Avon is a glorified pyramid scheme in which you are encouraged to 'increase your earnings' by recruiting other people and showing them how to recruit other's who in turn will need to be shown how to recruit others who will recruit others and so on. Eventually the 'leads' dry out and the pyramid collapses where only those at the top have earned whilst those lower down are left to pay. Please avoid Avon Cosmetics in any way you can because it can be guaranteed that you will not benefit from them whatsoever.

Avon have intructed 2 collection companies to collect £35 apparently owed to them by my innocent 18 yr old daughter who did not manage to get any customers, even though the money had been paid to the first collection company. I would be very careful about allowing young girls/women in your family to do business with them.
Avon cannot help me with my Hermes delivery
Avon cannot help me with my undelivered parcel from Hermes. I rate Hermes as the worst by far as a home delivery service. I have lived in my current rural address for nearly six years and encountered numerous problems with this company on my deliveries. They put off deliveries rescheduling parcels day after day then nothing. Hermes cannot be contacted only some robotic assistant that does nothing!! I end up contacting one of the following which we use for online orders to find out where my parcel is... Avon cannot contact Hermes either. Hermes is dire.
The usual excuse is that the driver is unable to locate my property! I live in a small community and the Hermes driver is very familiar with the property. If I could award no stars that would be my rating.....

After just over 2 weeks, contact them to chase up refund, that's where the fun starts.
Turns out they seem to have deleted me, my account, my order and everything to do with me, so when I contact customer services now, they have no record of my order number, email address or name so I can't get a refund, but they have MY MONEY AND RETURN!!!!
