We viewed the Doors of Distiction Catalogue on line and picked out several glazed doors that interested us, as we were visiting in the area we paid a visit to the showroom and shown the doors we were interested in.
We picked the style and also needed new door furniture for existing doors. A very quick response from the selling team and an order was placed the goods arrived within a week.

Alan at doors of distinction could not have been more helpful in creating my order so it was delivered promptly. He showed me several options of door furniture relating to my budget.

Such an excellent company. Helped us from the start of the purchase until the end. We had a previous purchase with them which we had to cancel literally years later, the company still kept the order on file and then refunded everything for us which then allowed us to make a different purchase. They then dealt with the new purchase very well, fast delivery and kept my partners disability in mind. Wouldn't come to anyone else in future for our doors. Also offer fantastic telephone service.

Be very wary - bad customer service - I placed an order for doors which I arranged to collect. One of the doors was damaged and they had to order me a replacement. They then insisted that I pay for delivery of the new door and could not understand why I was unhappy about being charged for what was either their supplier or delivery company issue. Not impressed.

Be aware that Oak engineered doors are made with Red Oak, certainly on the beaded edge of the panels. I queried whether the beading was in fact Oak because of the red colour and grain which in my opinion does not look good. If you are expecting English Oak or European Oak you may be disappointed it may not have the same look as any existing doors you may have. If you have an old property it will take some work to get an aged finish. Veneer is also very thin. If having to plane edges to fit, you will ruin the door by cutting through the Oak and exposing the pieces of joined substructure wood. Some of the odd angled matching veneers in the panels just makes them look cheap. Quite disappointing for the price.

We ordered seven internal doors from the Colaton Raleigh site, five of which were bespoke sizes. Without going into lots of detail, four had to be returned due to unacceptable quality. We've had to have two sets of door furniture replaced. It never felt like the company took ownership of the issue - it was always "please provide evidence of the problem and we'll take it back to our suppliers". Even though they are only four miles away, there was no interest in actually viewing the poor quality of the goods we paid them to supply. In their defence, we were offered discounts to accept the faulty doors (50% on the doors where the glue was coming through the veneer joins) but the risk of the veneer lifting when oiled was unacceptable to us.

The doors are absolutely stunning n sturdy. Very happy with the purchase.
