This phone is brilliant .
This phone is brilliant it does everything I want and more.
It is simple to set up and has a strong sturdy feel about it.
I also thought the price was very good considering what it provides.
I wouldn't necessarily say this is for older people, yes it does have large number buttons but you can also adjust the text size as well.
This is my first Doro purchase and up to now I am very happy with it and would recommend.

Köpte en Doro till en Àldre slÀkting, drog igång och lade till ett skÀrmlås. Personen anvÀnde inte telefonen men behöver den nu. Jag hade tyvÀrr glömt koden till skÀrmlåset. Då visar det sig att det inte går att fabriksåterstÀlla telefonen, jag måste skicka in den till Doro och betala för detta sjÀlv. Mycket konstigt och omstÀndigt system minst sagt. Not really eNot so easy for the elderly, for whom they are meant to be designed.
As a phone for the elderly, I find the Doro 8100 really difficult to set up and use. I have had mine for almost 2 years, but have had to reset it several times and each time, the set up has produced very different results and everything is controlled by Google which adds on so much that I just do not want. Basically, I want to make outgoing calls, receive incoming calls, send emails (using the address I choose, and receive incoming emails + use a variety of functional apps (not a lot to ask of a phone).
I have had several problems--great difficulty in adding my yahoo email account, having all calls unconditionally forwarded (to I know not where) or sent to voicemail and total inability to change the settings on the 'phone itself, as they get blanked out. Google although set to receive data over wifi only, has, on occasion, downloaded over the mobile network and used up my entire allowance in one day with rubbish I did not even want. When I called Doro for help, I was transferred to a service which I had to pay for and the problem was still not sorted out. Moreover when calls are being received I find the volume on the 8100 model to be very low. On the newer E10, there is no problem, but as it is a dumb phone, I cannot download and use apps on it. The sim card tray on the 8100 is very flimsy and it is very easy to damage the tiny nano card when taking it in and out as instructed to try and reset anything. The battery life and charging seem fine, for both models and the E10 is fairly easy to use, but neither are really easy for elderly people, who are not used to mobile phones. Nano cards are a nightmare to handle--designers, please give this a thought for your elderly customers who may not have anyone to assist them!
