Unfair charge attempt 20 days after return!!!!!
We rented a car from Alamo/Enterprise Eindhoven with full insurance. All damages were pre-existing and pointed out by staff (captured on CCTV). Our deposit was fully refunded on May 15, 2026, after a clear inspection. Now, 20 days later, they send an invoice for old damages and tried to charge our card without permission. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable!
Turned away at counter — digital card not accepted, never told at booking.
Enterprise Amsterdam Schiphol (April 2026) refused to give me my prepaid car because I only had a digital credit card. Contactless payments were disabled at their terminal, so only a physical card inserted with chip would be accepted. I had a valid credit card — it was just digital. This requirement was never disclosed during booking on Expedia, which only said 'a credit card is required.' I had exactly that. Enterprise NL confirmed their policy in writing but sent me back to Expedia for the refund. Expedia sent me back to them. €110.14 lost for a service never received. If you only have a digital card, they will turn you away — but they won't tell you this when you book.

Stay away
I went through what came down to nearly two months of interviews with them. We got to an agreement and I was told over the phone by John Schrijver that they want to hire me. Despite all the transparency and good faith I put in the communication, after the positive response John did not come back to me for a good couple of weeks. When I followed up I received another call that they no longer want to move forward with me anymore.
I do am an audio creative and I freelance on the side. I essentially shared the majority of my life during these interviews and the promise John made in the face of Enterprise had a dramatic effect on my personal life as I was keeping my schedule clear so I can start in November as told by John.
This experience was extremely impactful for me and I regret 100% for spending my energy with them. Perhaps this review will help reveal the real corporate face of the company. Stay away if you don't want to be disappointed.
Wasted 2 months of my time in interviews
I had a rather poor experience with the company. I was in the process of an application starting beginning of September. After over a month of communication and interviews, I spoke to John Schrijver who manages the location at the airport and he essentially called me to say they want to move forward with me starting in November. In return, this made me pass on other opportunities. It wasn't until last week when I John called me again to share they no longer want to get me on board.
In the end, I was told a bunch of lies across three interviews with different people from the company. I thought it's important to share about my experience as it will hopefully help shape the real corporate face of the company. They are certainly not a reliable employer which says a lot about the company policies and culture.

If I could give zero stars, I would. This was a terrible customer experience. DO NOT TRUST what the employees at Enterprise tell you.
We had to return the vehicle 2 hours late, so we called them out of courtesy. On the phone, they guaranteed us there would be no problem and no extra charges. We thought they were an honest company. We were completely wrong.
They charged us for an entire extra day! Their justification? A rule about a 30-minute grace period that they magically forgot to mention when we called. They completely disregarded the promise their colleague made to us.
This is dishonest and non-transparent management. They lure you in with promises and then hit you with hidden policies and extra fees. We are fighting to get our money back, but we want to warn everyone else: avoid this company if you don't want to deal with the same stress and dishonest behavior. We will never use Enterprise again.

Hired a Volvo xc60 @eindhoven airport. It was lovely car. It was however heavy rain so I never checked the car. Next again day I noticed damage on an alloy but noticed it was old damage. There was no marking on tyre and the damage was dirty and not fresh as alloy would have been clean.
However after arriving back in UK I got an email saying I damaged an alloy. I swiftly emailed them back explaining the damage already been there . So whether the damage wasn’t picked up last hire or whether an employee damaged it whilst moving it.
ONE THING , I WONT USE THESE THIEVES EVER AGAIN, READING OTHER REVIEWS IT LOOKS LIKE THIS IS A MONEY MAKING SCHEME. As a professional driver , driving coaches and class 1 HGV I am not guilty of damaging vehicles. I also have a mechanical background being a time served engineer I know what damaged alloy looks like when it’s damaged recently.
bad experience, stay away from them
I made my reservation,when i got to Schiphol airport they denied to give me the car bacause they did not accept my card(it was the one which i had made the booking). The reservation was cancelled and,now, 5 working days later still haven t got a refund nor an answer to my e-mail.
Please avoid booking with Enterprise Netherlands
I booked a car with Enterprise Netherlands last week. Upon arrival I was told I will not be given the car despite having the correct bank card which is clearly stated (Mastercard) that is accepted. This was extremely stressful as I just landed in the country and had a wedding planned for the weekend. I then proceeded to ask for a refund and was told I would receive a partial refund despite the fact that I was not given the car which makes 0 sense. They said they will also take away 50 euro cancellation fee which again makes no sense as I did not cancel, they refused me to take the car out. They take 4 working days to respond to each email and are not useful at all. Please avoid booking with enterprise at all costs they will steal your money and give pathetic excuses as to why. I will be leaving reviews until I receive my money back.

Hired a car and on the final day we got a puncture. There was no spare wheel and after calling they advised there was glue there to repair till drop off. There was glue but not the correct equipment to apply the glue so spoke to roadside team who arranged pick up. We were taken to a garage and spare tyre was replaced. Having dropped the car off, i have now had a bill for 200 euro because the tyre was not the same brand that was replaced even though enterprise arranged the repair. Having now sent 7 emails, no one replies to them. Avoid this company

Where to begin... things started out well enough renting from the Schipol, Netherlands branch of Enterprise, until one tyre punctured on the way home from Germany on a Sunday. No spare tyre (apparently that is the norm now with rental companies) and the repair kit could not cover the size of the puncture so the car went to a garage to wait for a new tyre on Monday. Then came the damage claim... somehow they managed to calculate over 1000Eur damage for 1 punctured tyre, including charging us for roadside assistance which is explicitly not our liability per their own contract. 900Eur (limit on liability) now taken off our credit card, we try to query this. It takes these people about 2 weeks to reply to any email and their responses are just mindless (well, you have to pay it). To add insult to injury, about 1 month ago (2 months after the incident) they take another 200Eur off my credit card (and I need to go write another bad review about ICS for allowing a charge with no authorisation) for extra roadside recovery fees. when I challenge them again with their own contract, they say they are handing over to their legal department, and despite 2 follow ups over a month, they still have not responded. This is a dishonest, thieving and incompetent company and I will not rent from them again.

Vi hentet etter å ha booked leiebil til vår tur i Nederland på flyplassen Schiphol. Vi kom ca en halvtime for tidelig men ble like vel tatt i mott og ble fortalt at bilen står klar. Vi hadde bestilt en Standard wagon 5 seter med bagasjeplass. Vi ble sport i skranken om vi hadde noen ønsker om bil eller om hun skulle finne en til oss. Vi valgte å la hun få velge. Hentet leiebilen i parkering garasje ble igjen møtt med en smil og bilen ble hentet. Flott og ny bil. Vi gikk over bilen med "selgeren" og fikk opplæring av bilen om vi ønsket. Levering tilbake til utleie selskapet ble veldig bra hyggelig og smilende ansatt kom oss i mott og vi gikk over bilen samen, Både innvendig og utvendig.
Ta vare på bilen, parker i parkerings garasjer der det er mulig ikke gris det til og du vil få en flott opplevelse. Kan anbefalles på det sterkeste

Hired a car at Eindhoven Airport at enterprise rent-a-car this March. It was raining, so the windscreen was wet. After leaving the car park and swiping the windscreen I got the sight of a tiny, almost invisible scratch on it. Brought back the car immediately. Three weeks later they charged 350 euros for the 'damage'. Since then I've sent cca. 15 e-mails in the topic, no answer. I'm a frequent traveller, hired cars in many different countries but this gang is the worst ever. Avoid them, they will find the way to take your money!!!

We rented a car at the airport in Amsterdam. Everything worked very well, the staff was friendly and the car excellent for our needs.
